Crown Unlimit 234 Posted September 4, 2012 is leveling up in this game a pain? I mean, it takes FOREVER, and you're already really strong at low levels. I beat the game on Terra first, and I was like 39. Maybe that's just because I was on Standard, or maybe it was just a really good level to be at. I wanna know everyone else's opinions. And also, the level you beat the game at.
wondermeow523 161 Posted September 4, 2012 it depends on how much time you're willing to grind, its not the game's fault
Mila 37 Posted September 4, 2012 (edited) I've played the game on proud mode (1st time) and was around Lv.50 at the end especially against Terra's last boss it's important if you want to level up "fast" you should use the level-up trick in Radiant Garden (you need 2 Mega-Flares for this) where you fought the boss together with Aqua and Ven you could level-up faster, but this is only possible after you beat the game (including last episode) and the "worlds level up bug" is available for you (if you've done everything right and it's your 1st playthrough) Edited September 4, 2012 by Mila
KeyOfVentus 90 Posted September 4, 2012 is leveling up in this game a pain? I mean, it takes FOREVER, and you're already really strong at low levels. And also, the level you beat the game at. The game was designed so that even on Critial Mode(like I was on) you could be as low as 32(Like I was for Ven, I was like 34 or 35 for Terra and Aqua) and still beat the game easily. But to get everything in the game you have to be level 99and REALLY good. But some tips for level grinding. Find a spot in whatever world that has a decent number of waves of Unversed. Pay attention to the numbers, not the fighting. Every time you beat an enemy a little thing pops up in the top left corner of the screen that says "Next Level..." and that number is how many EXP points until you go up a level, which keeps you from going to the pause screen all the time. My two favorite ones are(And forgive me for being vague but it's been a while since I've played it) the Cinderella world, that first hallway for The castle gives you about two hundred exp each time you go through. and in the Snow White World the Grove or flower patch(not sure what it's called) works really well too. Also, meld good commands, like look into the commands you want and how to meld them. Meld Blizzard with Aero with an Adamant crystal to get Blizzara with the EXP Walker ability. This gives you 1 EXP for every step you take. Unfortunately the first chance you have to get an adamant crystal is in Radiant Garden(if you're starting a new game that is and hope to get it ASAP), so you'll have to wait a bit. But that's basically it. It's all about the numbers. 1 Master Keeper reacted to this
Columned-Munny 274 Posted September 4, 2012 EXP Walker and patient grinding help, but I agree, it's tougher to get the max level in BBS.
Kishira 2,854 Posted September 4, 2012 I know what you mean. It seems to take forever, DDD's lvl goes by alot faster.
Caity 3,946 Posted September 4, 2012 If you want to level up without any effort you can equip EXP walker and tap your toggle to the side and leave them overnight to run in circles while you sleep (I did this with my 4th story) And if you have a OLD psp, there's a cheat disc you can get that'll work on those (I have slim and it didn't work, my (now ex) boyfriend got the disc and allowed my cousin who has the old psp to use it and it worked) I still prefer farming while trying to level up, I like getting the drops and items to make synthesize things. KeyOfVentus 90 Posted September 4, 2012 Every KH game with Critical is designed like this. No they're not. Have you played KH1 or 2? The numbered games always make you be around fifty if you're not too good...

KH1 doesn't have critical so you didn't read my post clearly. KH2 doesn't have critical either KH2FM has Critical and if you wanted to you could easily beat the game at Level 32 or whatever. Okay I wasn't sure if Kh1 had critical so even though I did read your post, I put it there just in caseAre you sure KH2 didn't have critical? And Critical is supposed to be the hardest mode there is in that specific game, why the hell would they make it easier than the other levels? You must just be some demi-god of gaming or something dude...

While I appreciate the compliment, it's not easier, it's just that Critical comes with an Exp 0 ability so you can just freeze your level anytime you'd like, so some people complete Critical Mode with low levels. Mkay, cause honestly until I get to a decent level in DDD I just spam Flowmotion, so in other games it's alot of running around and level grinding so it's safe to say I'm not the best gamer, but still. LunarMadness 79 Posted September 5, 2012 I beat this one on Critical with each character at lvl 30 approximately. Really easy to level up though. EXP walker+fighting...
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted February 15, 2013 Oh yes, leveling up is definitely a pain. However, using the Mickey D-link earns you twice the amount of experience, which makes it not quite as troublesome as it would be otherwise.
Weiss 8,279 Posted February 15, 2013 yes. It takes quite a while. I find it one of the hardest games to level up in. Right under com.
advfox 698 Posted February 15, 2013 I don't know if it's just me, but leveling in BBS gets easier after a while.
Ptolema 404 Posted February 15, 2013 Yeah... Levelling up seems to be hard, considering the playthroughs I've watched.
Ruran 481 Posted February 17, 2013 Only if you plan to go over and beyond. As mentioned before BbS was designed so you can beat the game at a relatively low level, even on critical, so you don't need to worry about grinding up to lv.75+ for example before facing the final boss. If you're a completionist like me though and you want all your characters to be at 99 than it can be quiet a pain. It can take many hours.
_The Door To Light_ 1,507 Posted February 17, 2013 Yeah, it is a pain. BBS was the one game I didn't level grind on, it just took longer than usual.
