13kingdomkey13 3 Posted September 1, 2012 Excuse this from being a complete nieve and dumb question, but what do people mean by "The Xehanort Saga"??? I must've missed an interview because I have no idea what that is. Wouldn't that be just the whole KH series? Or is Nomura making another saga after Sora??? Someone wanna enlighten me? Weiss 8,279 Posted September 1, 2012 Nomura is making another saga after kh3. Possibly 2. It will continue with Sora though.
HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted September 1, 2012 I dont know anything about Zehanort but i can tell you about the Xehanort saga .. Hes refering to all the games up until KH3 which will be the last game wrapping up the Xehanort storyline ..Hence the name Xehanort Saga . He plans to start a new storyline after KH3 with Sora still as the protagonist . 2 Robbie the Wise and Queen Tery reacted to this
Zola 3,038 Posted September 1, 2012 (edited) All the games thus far have been part of the Xehanort saga, with him as the main antagonist. After that, what Keysofblades said. ^ [edit]: ...Or just what Flaming Lea said. Edited September 1, 2012 by Zola

Imagination in Progress 30 Posted September 1, 2012 We have to wait until after Kingdom Hearts III is released, to see how Nomura intends to continue the series. Much like with KH1 and KH2, Square will probably feature some sort of secret ending (tie-in to a future game; "Another Side, Another Story", "Birth by Sleep") within the Final Mix copy. It has been confirmed that Sora will remain the main protagonist. I'd imagine Sora will be seventeen years of age when the next saga begins, as will Kairi. Riku will be eighteen. Once the "Xehanort saga" has concluded, however, all forms of Xehanort ("Ansem", Xemnas, Young Xehanort, Master Xehanort) will no longer feature as bosses (or primary villains). They may be referenced, or receive a nod in the next saga, but that will be it. It also remains uncertain whether Maleficent will remain a part of the series (she stopped being relevant after KH1). Again, we'll just have to wait...

I though Sora and Kairi were the same age as eachother because in the Kingdom Hearts 1 instruction book on the characters part it said the Sora and Kairi were 14 and Riku was 15, the on KH2 Sora and Kairi were 15 and Riku was 16. Did you read my comment correctly? I wrote that Sora might be seventeen years of age when the next saga begins, as will Kairi. (meaning Kairi would also be seventeen), and therefore, Riku would be eighteen.
Caity 3,946 Posted September 2, 2012 Basically all main enemies in the past 7 games (excluding Re-makes and final mixes, don't even know how many of those they are) can be traced back to Master Xehanort and the next game will end him once and for all, but a new enemy will rise which Sora will deal with whomever that is. Basically, KH3 isn't going to be the last kingdom hearts game just cause MX is dead. When are we ever going to get Light-based enemies? The main protagonist is meant to be Sora, if it's a light based enemy they wouldn't see anything wrong with him which would mean Riku/Terra/Lea should bet the ones fighting whomever they are, so then Sora won't be the main protagonist? Seems like a nice idea, sort of like Eraqus was with his obsession over light but on a grander scale but I can't really see it happening o.o
Felix...x? 113 Posted September 2, 2012 Hey, I've been a little scared recently about a theory that the xehanort saga will be the last of kingdom hearts, so just to make sure, do you think it will be the end, and no illogical fan hope of always making a sequel, need cold hard evedence to make the nightmares go away

This was also already mentioned several times in this thread if you go read all the posts. 1 Robbie the Wise reacted to this
