Five-Man Band in Final Fantasy XIII

Here I just want your opinion on who makes up the roles of the five man band in FFXIII. In it their are usually six(more or less roles).Which are

 

The Leader/Hero: The main hero/leader, usually the jack of all stats gameplay wise(maybe like Mario in Mario Kart), usually is like the second smartest, strongest, or is similar to the Chick but not as much.

 

Their Lancer: The leader's foil(extremely similar to or drastically different from the leader usually may come in second command)

 

The Smart Guy: Self - Explanatory

 

The Big Guy: Again Self-Explanatory

 

The Chick: The one who is the heart of the group and brings them together.

 

The Sixth Ranger: The one character who just sticks out.

 

I would really like to hear your opinions.

The Sixth ranger is out of the six playable characters who is the most different. Usually they are latest to join the team which is kind of while the characters are still on their journey.

But Snow is literally 6'7!!! He looks like the biggest guy on the game, his HP can reach 30000 which is the highest out of everyone and his main role is being a Sentinel!! Why isn't he the big guy? Why can't Sazh be the lancer?

Uh... big guy isn't that literal.

Snow runs in direct opposition to Lightning's ideals, while Sazh essentially functions as a gentle giant throughout the game. A father figure. That's what makes him the big guy.

But Sazh is almost twice the age of Lightning, is the opposite skin color and gender of her as well. Also due to his age he has had more military experience than her. Plus, Lightning is mostly stern, serious who is willing to jump into action where as Sazh is more down to Earth and more realistic kind of like the only sane person on the team.

The Lancer-Sazh or Snow could fit this role but IMO Snow fits the big guy role best

Snow is literally the anti-Lightning.

Most of the things you mention don't ever have anything to do with being a Lancer.

The Lancer is the Kain to your Cecil, your KH1 Riku to your Sora.

 

But your Lancer is your foil and Sazh and Lightning are just about complete opposites. I know their relationship isn't like Goku to Vegeta/Piccolo or Aang to Zuko. It just that they are opposites.

But the point of a lancer is to run opposite to the hero. Sazh and Lightning get along fine and are the most mature and worldly members of the team.

I stand by what I said, because it makes sense. snow as the big guy, besides his physical appearance, makes no sense.

Argument isn't fruitless. Contrast is the key to growth. You should be open to ideas, and always willing to argue your point. If you can't defend your point, it just makes your point appear flimsy, whether it is or isn't
