KH3D *Spoilers* Why Was Sora Different?

In Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance in the World That Never Was. Why was Sora in the cutscenes in his KH2 atire. Then when you start playing your KHDDD Sora...

 

I was quiet upset that i wasn't able to play as KH2 Sora in that part.

 

But i have a feeling there is a reason to that. And if any of you guys know could you help me by telling me :]

Because they all said they brought Sora to that world to lure him to be a vessel. So yea i feel like the reason he is still sleeping is the reason were not KH2 Sora in game.

As long as they are in the Dream Realm Yen Sid's magic will be in effect, and he was in a dream. You perceive things differently in a dream, he also looked like Ven for a moment.

Plus (OkashiraKenrex pointed this out) like Xigbar said, Sora almost woke up, but before he could he was dragged back.

well i think he was about to "wake up" from his sleep, im assuming that because braig said it was hard to put him into a "second sleep" meaning sora must have "woken" up recently

Anyways whatever went down in Sora's story for TWTNW still confuses the heck out of me, its hard to wrap my mind around the whole constant outfit change in particular.

He was dreaming / hallucinating. He wasn't really in his KH2 attire, it wasn't real.

 

That, and the fact that Nomura is a damn troll and knows how much we all want to play as KH2 Sora.

I thought it was the just the dream trying to trick him into thinking he's awake, like Roxas saying it isn't a dream. The fact you hear Riku at the end proves he was in the dream-in-a-dream. Throughout that whole dream-in-a-dream thing, to me it just looked like Sora was going through memories and sorrow in his heart...which also happens to have Roxas', Ven's, and Xion's memories.

I can't remember it exactly how it happened but I did notice him in his KH2 clothes in the dream world.

I thought it had to do with what SOMEONE said to either him or riku earlier "it's dream, and if it's a dream it's going to lie to you and try to make you think it's real" or something like that. Like the dream was trying to make him think he's awake I thought.
