KH2 Kingdom Hearts 2 = Best Game so far! ^_^

Recommended Posts

I believe that Kingdom Hearts 2 is the best game so far... the commands...graphics...actions, emotions..etc... are perfect. Even in 2D... Sora has more emotions than the other games...

And I prefer to edit my own abilities than have command decks and have the same old-boring fight style... it makes them look weak and still learners.

The keyblades from KH2 and KH2FM are better than any other game I've seen until now too... I kinda like Terra's main Keyblade, Ends of Earth but Star Seeker (Mickey's and/or Sora keyblade) is way better for me.

I also think the storyline is really good and the game is huge. KH BBS, 3D, Days, RE: Coded were too short...specially KH3D!

And I also wonder... why they had trouble making cool moves for Roxas if we only used him once with 2 keyblades?

Roxas does'nt have awesome moves because it's the beginning of the game (some of his RCs were good though). If you level up ALOT at the beginning of the game you of course would get pretty nice stuff. I do agree about the keyblades (although my fave keyblade is in this game so that's a given xD).

As for it being the best game? I won't state my opinion. I know tons of people will for me. ;)

Like temporary abilities? And then make axel slightly stronger so he's even with you? Interesting. But Square doesn't do interesting things like that. Just like how you go back to level 1 at the start of every game. ;)

Okay--you're argument about the other games being too short is slightly invalid.

KH2 was on a console--those DVD hold a ton of space!

All the other games, like BBS, Re:Coded, Days, and 3D were all on handhelds, where space is limited. And the fact that they're all roughly 24+ hour games is pretty good!

awkward wondermeow...awkward.....

anyway =D

KH2 is by far the best KH game in my opinion

The fighting is smooth (we just needed the dodge roll....), All of the character's emotions and face expressions were GREATLY made xD. Bosses were not to hard nor easy. The game can last 1 week long!! IT'S JUST AWSEOME I COULD GO ON AND SAY MORE xD

I agree!! KH2 is definitely my favorite game of the series. Except I don't think all the other games you listed were that short, I still thought they were a pretty good length. And I mean they were mostly on consoles, so you can't really blame them haha. But yeah after I finish up my critical run of 3D pretty soon here, I'm definitely going for another run of KH2, SO EXCITED

I respect your opinion but...

Have you seen/played KHBBS, KH358/2 Days, and possibly KH3D?

And I prefer to edit my own abilities than have command decks and have the same old-boring fight style... it makes them look weak and still learners.

Abilities ≠ Command Decks

You still have abilities in KHBBS, KH3D etc.

Command decks are much more free instead of spamming the A button and some magic, if your talking about attacking.

The keyblades from KH2 and KH2FM are better than any other game I've seen until now too... I kinda like Terra's main Keyblade, Ends of Earth but Star Seeker (Mickey's and/or Sora keyblade) is way better for me.

Eh your opinion. They do look great, I don't know that makes it the best game tho...

Its on PS2.

The rest are on handhelds, that have less space.

So this shouldn't be compared.

imo this game had the most plot holes, it barely made sense to me

it had to rely on future games of the series to make sense

Kingdom Hearts 2 control scheme was horrible

Compared to what? Becuase compared to KH1, or the handheld games... the controls are basically the second coming of jebus.

This argument is just as invalid. KH2 is under 2 GB. BBS is almost as big as KH2 in terms of file size.

The PSP UMD can hold nearly 2 GB, while the 3DS cards can hold 2, 4 and 8 GB so far. A full KH could have been fit onto those. In fact, an 8 GB is more space than any previous KH has had access to.

But beyond that, filesize has little to do with the length of the game. In days, coded, BBS and DDD, most of the file size comes from the cutscenes. Namely, he voice acting. KH2 made use of dialog-free scenes constantly, which lead to a longer game.

And MOST of Days and Coded is done with text, so that limitation is more or less moot.

especially in the case of Days; it would take a few kilobytes to add a new mission to that game, provided it didn't add any new enemies or the like.

The fact of the matter is that Square doesn't really want to give KH a huge budget like they do with FF. Low budget = less content

You don't get attack abilities. You just get invisible support abilities. There's no new combos, limits, or what have you, nothing that actually changes how you fight.

And I really don't see why you would need future games to understand KH2. Pretty much everything THEY added was clearly supplemented, rather than actually being alluded to and planned.

Technically Command Style is another version of Limits.

Combos I don't know what you mean by that, and if u meant u can add combo points to increase ur combo strikes then yes u can.

358/2 days explained Roxas's side and why he left the organization XIII, and how he ended up in Twilight Town. Also what Riku was doing and more.

KH BBS explained why exactly Roxas looks like Ventus, and also it filled MANY plotholes from KH2.

these 2 games helped fill in the plotholes from KH2.

It wouldn't make sense that much without it.

First of all, you don't equip command styles, you're stuck with them. Second, they aren't reallylike limits at all. Limits in KH2 were action command based moves that made you invincible, command styles change how your combos work.

And no, I'm talking about how you cna equip finishers like explosion, or moves like sliding dash, to change your combos. You can also equip limits, and other things that change how you fight (Like those abilities that make drive forms a reaction command when you're at low HP)

KH2 already explained those things in Days. We see Roxas leave the Organization, telling Axel that he wants to know why the keyblade chose him. We also see a scene where DiZ explicitly states that he is putting Roxas, who we previously see defeated and captured by Riku, into a digital simulation of Twilight Town

As for BBS. Until then, we had never seen the somebodies of a Nobody, besides Xemnas and Sora. Both of them looked different from eachother. Both scientist Xehanort, and Ansem, both look very different from Xemnas, and the same applies to Sora and Roxas. So until BBS, we didn't know that somebodies and Nobodies actually looked the same.

Finishers are just like Combo finishers, and yes you can choose which one you like but in a different way.

And by limits do you mean by the ones like the attacks you use with Disney/FF/etc. characters? If that is the case and then there is no comparison in BBS for that, but in DDD the linking is similar to Limits.

Cant say much about the Drive ability that is a reaction command when your at low HP. xD

No, they really aren't. TAV all have two combo finishers on the ground, and one in the air. They can't get any other ones. Finishers are just command styles, only command styles need you to fill up a gauge to finish them.

Limits are things like Kncoksmash and Fantasia. They have you team up with party members and mash triangle to attack (There's also a solo one if you use Trinty Limit alone). Sora's link attacks are a lot like this, indeed.

You get an ability for leveling up a drive form that lets you press triangle when at low HP to drive without going into the menu.

My one major reason for KH2 being the best is the gameplay. I've stated it many times already. I mean, no game has beat KH2 in gameplay at all to me. Kingdom Hearts 2 had fast, smooth and amazing combat. All the other games had slow, clunky, really combat that got annoying because of how slow it was. Not only that, but the combat system ACTUALLY made Sora seem more mature in combat. None of the other game(this excludes KH1 here really), have made the characters seem as good as they should be in combat. In fact TVA should be much better at it than Sora and they weren't in my opinion. Sora and Roxas DW had the best gameplay set up for them in KH2. If KH3 doesn't have this 'perfected' combat system, I'll be quite disappointed because the combat really made KH2 one of the funnest games around.

the combat in Kh2 was what made it stand out IMO. Unfortunately I doubt KH3 will have a similar combat system. It's a shame too because all the attacks in Kh2 felt very satisfying to pull off. The combat in recent Kh games just haven't had that same feel to them.

KH2 (final mix specifically) had the best combat by far. Everything was smooth and it was how it should be. Enemies flinched when you attacked at the right times, and it was all about finding an enemy's opening and attacking, while using your block/dodging skills to survive. The new command deck system they've been using is honestly such a disappointment compared to the KH2 style of combat. Enemies flinch more randomly and the sense of dodging/blocking and finding openings is barely there. I personally feel that while the BBS team games (DDD and BBS) are good, they are easily outshined by KH2 and I realllllyyy hope they go back to the good style for KH3, considering the real kingdom hearts team will be working on it.
