I've never dropped during a boss battle ^^ I was once on the Bonus Drop Time thing, 5 seconds left, when I cast Salvation as Sora, and I fin finished the battle Cutscene, then back on the world map.

 

Dropping during boss battles must be really annoying, though.

Hate to say it, but I enjoyed the boss drops. It kept me on my toes and made the adrenaline rush. Most of the bosses I timed perfectly so that I would miss dropping by barely. Even Julius... I didn't use a "Drop Decrease" on Riku and had to race to finish the battle. It was a new level of fun.

To me, this was the only setback to the drop gauge. I didn't mind dropping in normal battles.

I have never dropped in any boss battle, and event battle. I always drop before the boss and event battles begin so I can refuel my drop gauge.

That' s what drop me nots are for also if you make use of the manual drop your less likely to drop during battles.

I learned this the hard way. I dropped during so many bosses on proud mode. Now I come in with full drop bar and drop me nots.
