Final Fantasy Versus XIII Trailer's Screenshot - A Keyblade?! (bit of spoilers)

So, I was just wondering in the Internet, in my own business; when I came across this Trailer's Screenshot of Versus XIII.

 

 

 

 

That sword which Noctis appears to bear to attacking the soldier, looks like a Keyblade. (In my opinion).

 

(Althought, I don't think they will put Noctis with a Keyblade, since he already has his own sword we are NOT in Kingdom Hearts. The rest of his weapons are unknown, but this one can resemble a Keyblade by it's appearance.)

 

Then, look at his eyes. Nomura said that when Noctis was battling, his hair and eyes' colour can change.

 

Then, in a preview of the game, I found:

 

However, not everything is right with Noctis Lucis Caelum. He begins to feels the presence of another person sleeping inside of him that is waking up and trying to take control. This other person believes that there is nothing either morally good or bad and that fools have set the rules in Noctis' world. When this person takes over, Noctis' eyes turn red and he becomes far more powerful but more angry and violent. However, Noctis does not know who this other person is and where they have come from. For Noctis, the battle is not only to reclaim the last crystal, but also to reclaim himself.

 

(Noctis talks with this mysterious person inside him, in the trailer; actually. But it only shows him as the "mysterious person" asks who he is.)

 

When I looked at his eyes and read the above preview, it reminded me of a similar case (more or less):

This is probably nothing, but the team of Kingdom Hearts who is making this game, may or not put some stuff resembling KH in this game. Just to say that they worked their butts off with this game.

A promotional image of Noctis sitting on his throne mimics a pose of a promotional image of Sora from Kingdom Hearts. Final Fantasy Versus XIII is further connected to Kingdom Hearts through similar battle system. (We already know that.)

the funny moment when i always thought they had keyblades secretly in this game when he summoned a shield of blades when Noctis was getting shot at

tutti frutti. Nomura may have done that as a form of reference to the KH series. (the picture with Sora and Noctis sitting in their seats with the weapons out) But I'm interested in the possible dual persona that Noctis seems to have. It would be something to see how Noctis battles the "other" side of himself. In a way I would find it interesting if the Keyblade was actually put into Versus.

Ehhh I can't see the keyblade being in FFV13 (inless they are saying "Oh yeah everyone! KH3 is almost here!") but as for the person that could be in Noctis I wouldn't say that it has to be with the "Terranort" but rather finding one's true identity. Noctis is most likely unsure of himself while Stella is completely different. The Mystery Person will most likely have to do with the game's theme of understanding who you are and why you were born. But however it would be really cool to see similarities with KH. I mean Stella does look like a older version of Namine.

 

In my case it seems like a much more violent, gore, and rated "M" version of Shugo Chara! (Lee Approves)

I would love to see that.

Also, Nomura stated that the game will have the most dark and serious story of all Final Fantasy titles.

And, with the release of the game itself, KH3 is ready to go.

It seens Square Enix decided to do a Kingdom Hearts without Disney, this is what they got.

 

Ok, ok, just kidding, i don't think that at all.

Versus XIII/ XV is at the moment my favorite Final Fantasy game, and it will probably be my favorite one, not better and not worse then the KH series, i'm in love with the stories.

 

Noctis in KH3/future KH would make me explode from happiness.

This trailer was way back in like 2005 when FFVXIII was just being announced and a lot has changed in Noctis' character since then. If you see the new trailers hes not even wearing the same outfit anymore. Who knows what has changed in the seven years this game has been in production, and as nothing has really been announced or shown since last year, we have no idea what has changed in that time period either....

The similarities that Terra-Xehanort and Noctis have in terms of being possessed by someone. Both games utilize the motif of darkness.

Those games don't have to share every motif, just some that can make comparisons.
