Is he going to be the 7th Keyblade of Light now? Because, it seems like they're setting him up to be, but I don't understand how they can characterize him in the 'Light' category as a former member of Organization XIII. I get that he was never really a 'member' but still.

Sora is out because he didn't become a master and will follow another path in KH3.(I think)

Terra is out because he is a part of Terranort, revived from the destruction of ansem & xemnas.

The Castle Oblivion events happened before Axel's friendship with Roxas really took off...his letting Namine go then had everything to do with screwing over Marluxia's plans/furthering his and Saix's goals, not helping Sora of his own free will (like he did in KH2).

Actually If you remember their friendship HAD taken off and Roxas had even worried about Axels safety and if he was dead like the others . When Axel returned hr was also threatended by Xions friendship at first bc he was worried he has been ' replaced " .Axel also states to Sora " they had more in common then you might think " and that he didnt want to fight Sora. He did have reasons to help Sora . His had MULTITUDE of reasons to let Namine go,including helping Sora and screwing over Marluxias plans..

Have you even played days the events directly coincide with each other. Roxas was friends with Axel long before Castle Oblivion. Axel had no qualms Sora and even stated so both in game and journal entries. There were plenty of reasons for him to keep Sora around so he let Namine go knowing she would both ruin Marluxia's plans and help Sora out.
