Last night, Gray tweeted: “Before everyone decides the #twewy countdown is over, they might want to wait for the countdown to be over. #moredripthanleak” Square’s The World Ends With You teaser website is counting down to an announcement that will happen this weekend. The dual screen battling is a plot point (pretty sure), so removing that is no good. Splitting the screen would allow for it, but how would we control the top screen? TWEWY has a tiny resolution; don't forget that it's a DS game. Hmm, fair enough. But I believe that there were some battles that were won only through utilizing both partners (final boss). If I'm remembering correctly, then they would have to rework some of the fights. Though we also wouldn't get to hear Beat talk about the party in his mouth so... A lot of the appeal of the game was the dual screen combat. If they keep it in, then it will be somewhat difficult given the touch only input of iOS devices.
