KHDays REMAKE SPECULATION

So I was just searching on Google for new releases, even though they're not official it's always fun to read.

However,.. I came across this little piece:

 

"The designer also said that he wished he could’ve given Kingdom Hearts 358/2 analog control—an impossibility due to the Nintendo DS’s limited controls—and hopes to implement a versatile combat system in his next game."

Now it does say "the next game", but still I guess if there would come remakes.. I guess 358/2 days is definatly the first to go.

Especially cuz it holds the best script but the worst graphics.

Days could benefit a lot from a remake . They couldve done a lot more with it but were limited in many different ways . Playing on mission mode with different characters couldve been done better.We couldve been able to battle other organization members without having to face a friend in muli-player. All the characters moves didnt feel different from each other..Xemnas SUCKED to play as .It didnt utilize their elements either ...I loved Days but i think a remake could fix some of these issues . Also I would love some more plot scenes added between Saix and Axel .

I don't think 358/2 days would be remade first because it wasn't really, in my opinion, anywhere as good as KH1 and KH2, which definately should get an HD remake on the current console generation. Or the next. But, if they did remake it, they could make the multi-player go over the internet (Xbox Live, PSN, etc.). Now that would make it worth buying. Same could apply to BBS.

They could also cut out some of the days you could advance, and take days you did nothing to add new missions on those and maybe they could even add another world.

Ofcourse if there would be a remake I would vote to make it for 3DS cause it's a console a lot of players only bought for 3D, 2 KH games for the 3DS would make it REALLY worthwhile, and immediatly give the game a positive vibe.

Yeah but some of the cutscenes in 358/2 days had ps2 graphics in it (opening), so the graphics aren't that bad... It's just not worth buying the same game from only what, 3 years ago, just for a few extra cutscenes and better graphics... I'm with you on some parts.. however I really think they could make a great game escpially with upgrading ALL the graphics also when you're playing to the PS2 or PSP level. I would like to have more cutscenes with Roxas Xion and Axel on the clocktower.

They really should make a Days remake. For gameplay and graphical reasons, it would be epic. For the plot, a secret ending would be amazing. Also, more cutscenes like the one with Saix and Axel, and Saix calls him Lea.

Its not happening. The graphics may look impressive on a DS, but a lot of it is 2d sprites made to imitate a 3d look so that the DS could handle it. That took its own engine to run it. If they were to do a remake, they would have to completely remake it from the ground up. It would be work equivalent to making a new game, but since it wouldnt be a new game it wouldnt make the profits to support the cost of production. If theyre smart, they wont do it. Its not critical that they need to remake it. 3DSs can play the game. Its KHI and II they need to remake because no current gen can play it, and they are crucial to getting into the series.

CoM wasnt a 3d game, so there was more appeal to make it fully 3d. Days is still 3d, it just doesnt have the graphics other systems have. Maybe they would remake it and make it into a bundle like with CoM, but I honestly dont think the profits would cover the production cost. And there are more important games to make...

Yeah, that's true. Though, if they did the bundle thing it would probably be done in japan first as a sort of test trial.

However, if Nomura is really planning to keep bringin out games while we wait for KHIII a project that'll probably take years.

I guess a lot of fans would rather have 358/2 days remade then another game cause KHIII is just the right follow up for 3D.. plus that if they do need to bring up a game they maybe have to start all over but they have a story. Now we would like KH and KH2 to be remade I suppose, but a lot of fans will get mad (or at least I suppose) cause in that case we would have to buy a PS3 or XBox360 or whatever, and after we just bought a 3DS that would most definatly bring up a lot of negative reactions.

So I think it would be smarter too create a game for a system you already know your true fans own.

I'm pretty sure that was referring to Dream Drop Distance, I HIGHLY doubt that Days will be remade, even though it's definitely one of my favorite games if I had to pick one. If it is remade it'll probably be given the Chain of Memories treatment though and ported onto the PS3(I wouldn't go to Xbox cause KH games are only on GOOD consoles...)

so I think they'd better bring out a 3DS game so that that console feels used and then switch to PS3 and when KH3 is half or something in development and getting some more attention bring out the KH and KH2 remakes, so also those not familair with the series might be like "hey that'd be cool to play since KH3 seems cool"

that way gamers and fans (could) be satisfied.

if it's not this way, oh well, I already have a PS3.

Yea I really think remaking days would be pretty clever and it shouldn't be so much work besides getting the voice acting done since there are no new maps or character models to be made for this! They could recycle nearly ever model and map from KH2 and then others from Dream Drop and put it on the 3DS and they wouldn't have so much work!

never affected me, online multiplayer is a joke, if you can't have fun with a game on your own what's the point? Multiplayer is nice but it doesn't deserve the hype it gets, and you're just mad cause you know I"m RIGHT!
