Jim 2,990 Posted August 19, 2012 Ok, there's still something I don't understand. In the Tron Legacy World for Sora, YMX told him that the worlds he was in were awake and "very real" or something like that. Was he lying? Or am I totally lost as to where Sora actually was the whole game? I understand Riku was in Sora's dreams, but now I'm still lost on what was up with Sora the whole game. Also, Yen Sid sent Riku and Sora back in time to before the D.I.'s were lost to darkness. After entering the sleeping worlds, did Sora and Riku jump to the present time, or does the last level/YMX boss fight/MX returning take place in the past? One last thing that I think you guys might find interesting: I've noticed that, in this game, when they put the name of TWTNW on the screen (as in the flashy world name that they do at the beginning of every level that was ever in KH), it's not until the character being controlled at the time is in the real WTNW. I noticed this because it doesn't show it on Riku's story until he appears in front of Memory's Skyscraper (same with Sora, except his is when he first visits, before he gets thrown back into the dream) So yeah, it might be obvious to you guys, but I'm just pointing it out. If you guys could answer those first two questions, it would be much appreciated.
Kinode 3,056 Posted August 19, 2012 The Gird is an exception. It's true, Data does not dream, can not dream. The world wasn't dreaming, but it WAS asleep. It was dreaming in a "data" way, so Sora was traveling through Data of the world, information, memories of the past before it was lost to Darkness. Every other world is a dream of the world. That's what a Sleeping World is. Furthermore, there isn't a set place in time in which all of those worlds' dreams happen at the same time. Once all the 7 Keyholes were opened, they returned to the present, but they didn't return to their Original clothes because they weren't in possession of their bodies yet, which are at Mysterious Tower. See, the way it's explained, it seems Sora and Riku time traveled in a different way than Xehanort. So their bodies were at Mysterious Tower, and their consciousness traveled back in time and possessed their younger bodies. 2 Rob and Pyrrha Nikos reacted to this

Most of the stuff you said makes it more understandable now, but I still have a question about this^ in the quote. If they are posessing their younger bodies, Then how does Sora still have his body in KH1? I'm not sure if I'm making that question clear, but if you understand what I'm saying, then an answer would be awesome. and, lol another question just hit me now. If they freed the dream worlds in the past, why does Yen Sid talk as if they're still asleep during the beginning of the exam, if they were already woken up technically before that happened? I'm pretty sure that it's because after they're done using their bodies, the bodies return to their respective timelines, if you get what I'm saying >_>And they're not woken in the past. They're on dreams of the past, but when they wake the worlds, they come back at the same time in the present. Sora and Riku aren't in the Sleeping Worlds themselves. They're in the Dreams of those worlds, in a way, in the hearts, memories, of those worlds. 2 Pyrrha Nikos and Kishira reacted to this

But man, it's all so convoluted... 1 Kinode reacted to this
SnowpointQuincy 11 Posted August 20, 2012 He says, This place is real... you don't even know where you are... If Sora or Riku went through the portal, they would have gone to the Real Earth where the Tron Movies are located. A very 'real' place indeed. Maybe he meant to say that the Realm of Dreams is only a polite way of saying Realm of Darkness, because that is were they are. But, they should already know that, because they had to go to DI to be lost in darkness to get to the Realm of Dreams.
