WielderoftheKey 3 Posted August 19, 2012 ok so im probably stupid for this but i really dont understand the whole plot for traverse town to me it made no sense. so can someone explain what happened? if the cast from The World Ends With You faded from existence then how are they there? and why the hell cant joshua just let riku and sora traverse between the 2 versions of the world? and for that part thats never brought up again so i dont think its a gameplay mechanic that explains why sora and riku are apart? and also is joshua some type of god? i nevered play the world ends with you so i have no idea and how could beat, rhyme, and shiki travel between the worlds? sorry for ranting but i dont get it Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Daniel Black 1,981 Posted August 19, 2012 (edited) Let me say....(spoilers of another game) in The World Ends With You...neku and the others participate in the called reapers game, a game where they need to complete missions to avoid to be erased, for 7 days, they enter the game because they died in the real world. In traverse town scenary... They surely fail a mission meaning that they were erased... For saving them Joshua join the remains of their existance (their dreams ), looking for a place to refuge. Finding Traverse Town, then he used his own dreams to transform the place in someone that he would know... in hopes of restoring his friends... ironically, as he said in the first visit... because they were in the dream realm, dreams become real there... that allow neku and the others to return... but for getting back to his original world they need to complete the missions of the game, now taking place in traverse town. Second... Sora and riku cannot travel using the portal of Joshua, because is made of Rhymes dreams... Joshua is holding Rhyme´s dreams... so he only can use the portal for himself. They can´t travel to the other place because they are in two different dreams... explained ironically by Joshua in the second visit. Third.. and the best.. in the original game, Joshua is the composer of Shibuya, (A god like) and the ruler of the underground ( a parallel shibuya where the reapers game take place) he... exhausted of the people and the way of living of shibuya tried to erase it. that´s when the conductor of the game and him start a game between them for the survival of shibuya... Joshua pick Neku as his proxy on tghe game because he couldn´t enter. In the end the conductor loses agains Neku, shiki and beat... meaning that joshua have won and he would destroy shibuya. Instead, he and neku play a Duel, 10 seconds and a shot. who lives would take the place of composer and decide what to do with shibuya... in the end, neku (because of the events in the game.. .too long to explain) can´t shoot.. and he lose... but because joshua becames friend of neku and he doesn´t did all the nesessary to save shibuya ( meaning shooting Joshua) he spare the city, neku and his friens. And that´s all ... ah by the way, the snooby arrogant and some times girly actitude of Joshua... is in the original game too. If you can, play this game i recommend you. How the hell is traverse town a sleeping world? sora never had to bring it back from the dark is it because joshua needed it to save neku and his friends? also why the hell doesnt sora or riku during the revisit to traverse town go hey joshua why the hell do you have wings? i know now why he does but im just saying its not really something they should look over and also whats with the new sections yea they're fun and cool but where did they come from? are they from the dreams of neku and the others or are they stuff from joshua's dreams? and how come the dream eaters dont attack joshua? is it because he is a god or cause they cant sense his dreams? and i liked joshua he didnt come off as snobby but still my favorite character from the new traverse town is rhyme she's just so adorable 1 Daniel Black reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

In Kingdom hearts 1, Traverse town was a refuge for those who lost their homeworlds... when Sora defeated Amsem, all the worlds were restored and the people return to where they belong... then traverse town as only appears when it´s needed return to sleep. Now i think that was lucky for Joshua... jejeje. Second- ahmmm donald is a duck .. and goofy is a dog... and sora doesn´t ask them "hey how you are able to speak? ¬¬ " .. i think is the same for Joshua... third- This traverse town is modified acording to Joshua´s dreams... in fact this traverse town is Joshua´s modified Traverse town (as long the world is in the realm of sleep). 4.- (yes it´s a fourth phew..,. ) Joshua said to Riku that the dream eaters "only attack dreamers," and that for some unknown reason, even though Joshua has plenty of dreams, he apparently isn't one. When Riku wonders if he's a dreamer, Joshua says that "all human beings are dreamers." in fact they don´t attack joshua because he´s not human... he´s in proper words "god".
