Speed 37 Posted August 17, 2012 I can't actually imagine Kairi fighting anyone in the battle of lights v.s darknesses. The other guardians each have at least one enemy from past games which would make good battles while Kairi...well...yeah.

anime10121 28 Posted August 17, 2012 (edited) i liked the secret ending but cmon Kairi.. a keyblade weilder? yea right. she doesnt even know how to use it its gonna be like teaching a 7-year-old to ride a bike or wahtever so no. The same can also be said about Lea, and Sora and Riku seemed to learn pretty fast (Especially Riku considering he's only technically wielded a Keyblade since the end of KH2 when he transformed back into the "real" Riku, before that he had the Soul Eater, which was a sword and NOT a Keyblade). Im glad they're finally bringing Kairi to the forefront, as its about time she did something impor... Wait a minute, shes already done PLENTY important, such as, say...1. Saving Sora when he turned into a Heartless 2. Giving Sora the Thalassa Seashell charm which turned into the AWESOME Oathkeeper keyblade. 3. Was Sora's driving force throughout the entirety of Chain of Memories (while Sora may have been thinking about Namine, his heart was feeling for Kairi) 4. Was the reason Xion ever had a face to begin with for Roxas (Her face is there because of strong feelings for Kairi 5. Actually showed no fear at fighting to help Sora when Riku gave her a Keyblade 6. Is the reason Sora and Riku found a way back to the realm of light after they thought they were doomed to be at the Dark Beach forever (end of KH2) 7. Was born a Princess of Heart, and has also unknowingly been passed the power of the keyblade through Aqua in BBS. etc. etc. I will never understand the hate that Kairi gets. I like her and think she's a generally sweet character, and find it generally funny that people ignore all that she has done, complain that she's done nothing but get kidnapped, and when she's actually leading into having an important role in KH3, people cry and complain that she's getting more importance. MyDixieRect 2,061 Posted August 17, 2012 (edited) Excuse me, but that is not what I am saying. Basically, I am saying that they have gotten so far that it would be better for her to fade away like in the other games. She has came from a primary character to secondary character. There is really nothing that exciting about her character other than she is a princess of heart and a keyblade weilder. I don't think she that significant of a character to the series since CoM. They had to find some use for her in KH2. This is my opinion, and you don't have to agree. I am not here to argue. Just stating how I feel about it. What? They really haven't got that far without her at all. Within the canon timeline the last game she had a crucial role in took place not even a couple of weeks ago from DDD. Not far at all. She's still a primary character. She's the driving force for almost everything that goes both right and wrong in KH 1 and 2. She hasn't faded at all. Nothing exciting about her character except she's a princess of heart and keyblade wielder? The fact she's a princess of heart makes her one of the more unique characters because no other main character shares that attribute. She's arguably the most unique character because of that. She can pull of miracles like nobody else can restoring Sora from a heartless, allowing Sora's heart to open the DTL, providing Sora with one of the most powerful and best reaching Keyblades in the games. It's the things that define her character, makes her stand out above the others. And she has a keyblade like all the others and she's about to undergo huge training to get even more development, which will add even more to her character. You don't need an endless list of traits as to what makes a character interesting. Those points are more than enough and we'll only be given more in KH3. It's like me saying "There's nothing interesting about Roxas apart from he's a Nobody and can wield the Keyblade" It simply isn't true. There's more to him than that. I dislike Kairi alot. I think she is the worst character in the series. She brings no oomph What? Is that even a legit complaint? It's like me saying I don't like Terra because he brings no "Zaaazzz". That doesn't sound silly at all. Edited August 17, 2012 by Winner's Proof 3 lizzie1238, Dracozombie and anime10121 reacted to this

lizzie1238 538 Posted August 17, 2012 Roxas. I'm sure Roxas is the 7th guardian. 3D seem set up to propose that Roxas will return. He appears at the end of the opening the part that foreshadows KH3. Lea's desire to obtain the Keyblade was solely so that he could keep his promise to Roxas to bring him back. We learn that Nobodies do have hearts making them no different than humans. Sora wants Roxas to be his own person and not just "Sora's nobody" It's kind of hard to argue with all of that. As for those complaining about Kairi being trained to use a Keyblade, her being weak, and there being too many Keyblade wilders, let me remind you of a few things. 1st, Kairi has more of a right to use one than Lea. She got the ability long before him. 2nd, when Kairi fought the Heartless in the Orgs HQ Donald said she was really good at it. It doesn't seem necessary for him to lie to her just to make her feel good about herself when he could have easily just remained silent. And 3rd, before the Keyblade War there were hundreds of Keyblade wielders so the 6 active now (considering all the 'norts to be 1 and not counting the the lost 3, Roxas or Xion since they've rejoined Sora, or Yen Sid as he's retired) aren't really that many. Oh yeah. About Hayden. I wonder if her new show will interfere with voice recording for KH3? I hope not. Yes, I really hope it's Roxas. Although I have my doubts, and while I'm 99% sure Roxas will become his own person at some point in the game, unfortunately, I'm not so sure that he'll be one of the 7. I think Kairi has a better chance, and I'd rather it be her than Lea, for the reasons you've stated above. But even though it probably won't be, I mostly want it to be Roxas. Agh, why did they have to limit it at 7?! Why can't they all just fight the bad guys?!

Well Im not specifically labeling ALL of that at you, but the people who hate on Kairi for no reason. And as I said before, Lea JUST got his keyblade and people are already labeling him one of the seven guardians, while Kairi has had the ability to weild one since she was 5 (when she met Aqua) she just didnt know it. She also actually HAS experience (although very little) since she actually defeated some heartless in KH2 when Riku gaver her one. Also let me reiterate the fact that Riku's only technically had a keyblade since right before his and Sora's battle with Xemnas (when his body was transformed from Ansem's Heartless' back to his original one), THE WHOLE TIME BEFORE THAT he was weilding Soul Eater, a sword not a keyblade. Sure he took the keyblade from Sora for a quick second in the original KH, but it wasn't long enough to "properly learn how to wield it". He's basically only had the keyblade for the fight against Xemnas and the entirety of Dream Drop Distance which was only probably a few months at most. Sora is the only one who's had experience with the keyblade for more than a year (well other than Terra, Aqua, and Ventus). Everybody else, fresh Keyblade wielders. Kairi doesnt need to be a Keyblade master to be of any help, Sora technically wasnt a Keyblade master until the end of DDD (so for the entirety of KH1 and 2 he was just a wielder), Mickey also didnt become one until the end of BBS (in the credits when he returns his key to Yensid, only for Yensid to give it back), and Riku became a master exceptionally fast. And Im sure Kairi will go through rigorous training from Yensid, otherwise he wouldnt have brought her there. And please dont take offense, I am NOT angry at you, I'm just pointing out a few things that a lot of people tend to miss because of their unnatural hatred of Kairi (again I know you particularly said you dont hate her, but other's seem to have a putrid and undue disgust of Kairi for NO REASON). 3 baptiscool19, Caity and TheKingdomkid reacted to this

MasterNahi 46 Posted August 17, 2012 Why are there so many people who hate the idea of Kairi being a keyblade wielder? I mean, it's true she lost some importance from Com 'till now, but, that doesn't mean she doesn't deserve to be important again. When I saw Kairi get a Keyblade in 2, I cheered. Finally, the trio have Keyblades. In this, I cheered again, because, Kairi is now becoming more important to the story, and no longer needs protection. So, I'm saying Kairi doesn't deserve the amount of hate she gets for this. True fans would be happy for her. Anyway, that's my rant. Have a great day. 3 Caity, Kishira and Dracozombie reacted to this

Oh and to Kairi being trained to be a Keyblade wielder, about time I mean you would think that Sora and Riku would've helped Kairi train when they got home and maybe they have but who knows, and we don't even know if she will be the 7th gaurdian, it would be ironic though she was the 7th princess of heart and now she might be the 7th gaurdian of light. And one more good thing about Kairi now being traied to wield the Keyblade, it will give her a lot more depth of character so shes not always in the background or on the sidelines she will be doing something wich is good

Caity 3,946 Posted August 17, 2012 I haven't got the secret ending since i'm leveling up all my spirits before moving on to Symphony of Sorcery and the World that never was but I basically know that Yen Sid trains Kairi near the end. Personally I love Kairi (although it may be bias, me being a girl i'll obviously favour girl characters, Aqua is my favourite playable character as I just love magic based attacks). I think it's about time Kairi was able to defend herself (I mean seriously when Axel "kidnapped" her, he just dragged her by the flipping wrist), and being a Princess of Heart AND keyblade wielder, who knows what magic and commands she could control and conjure up? Since I haven't got to the end yet, I assume Xion still needs to be saved, so then she couldn't be a better option, not even being there. I hope that Kairi is a playable character in the next game. I actually want her to be one of the seven guardians, and if Aqua is free she could act as a mentor to her in the skill of magic (: (this is my first time using colors on this message board. _The Door To Light_ 1,507 Posted August 17, 2012 I'm happy she is finally getting some proper character developement and that she is going to learn to wheild a keyblade. You're absolutely right. It's ridiculous for Kairi to use an important power she had received and be useful on the front lines so she'll finally spend significant time with the other main characters and get proper development. But oh well, she's useless and a bitch and I hope she never summons her keyblade, either. Both are actually good points. Kairi could possibly get some good character development from this.
