xoblivionx13 1,133 Posted September 29, 2012 I'm going to have to say....YES, absolutely yes! :DD KH2 is my favorite and I always find myself going back to this game or thinking of it when I'm daydreaming (yup, it's that awesome). It was the first game I played in this series and it has/will stick with me forever. Yeah it has some things that are goofy (no, not that Goofy), but it has plenty of good things to counter it. I love the story, it's entertaining, and I made some memories I will always remember......lotsa people refer back to KH1 for some things.....I always refer back to KH2 It has become attached and dear to my heart (seriously I can't get it off, it's glued to me O___O ) So yes KH2 is my favorite game in the series BbS is actually tied with KH2 in my number one spot as well ;D
Nafees Rahman 35 Posted September 29, 2012 I mean, the past four handheld games have really summed up everything we need to know and have each been great, amazing even, though I haven't played DDD because I dun have a 3DS, but to me Kingdom Hearts II is the best. The gameplay was amazing and really showed how well Sora had matured in battle, the story was just perfect, and let's not forget the amount of really fantastic characters that were in this one. I thought kh1 and DDD was the best
Nafees Rahman 35 Posted September 29, 2012 kh2fm is by far the best kingdom hearts game to date i was hoping DDD would surpass it but nah it was close tho!! If they make a final mix im SURE itl do better... KH2 has its share of problems. The most annyoing one for me is this. In KH2 you are given the choice between Melee, Magic, and Defence. However, the only correct choice is Melee, becaues the others offer nothing. You can not play as a magic character in KH2, because no matter what choice you make you still Melee 99.9% of the time. You can't use magic that often, and when you do, it does do much of anything. If you melee 99.9% of enemies as a magic character, why be one in the first place? Why do you even have a choice? It is the ILUSION of CHOICE. KH3D (or possibly BBS, never played that one) Was the first game to make Magic Characters and Melee Characters equal. Giving you options like, loading the deck with weak spells that reload fast, or more powerfull spells that keep you waiting. Melee was a lot of interesting and different attacks, and magic has a lot of interesting and different options. (fire, ice, thunder, water all move in different ways, so HOW they more is sometimes more important that what boosts you have on.) KH2 is still the game i've played the most, but it is not perfect. 3D is my new favorite, the gameplay is better in 3D, even if the plot is not as good. (Everthing funny, interesting, or emotional is saved for the last 10 minutes, which really harms the rest of the game.) What do you mean Magic and melee characters? In kh 3d I mean I... dont get it I loved Kingdom hearts II, it was the first game in the series I played and remains dear to me, but I love the battle system of BBS and I think the way 3D summed up the previous games and leads on is brilliant. I still wish that there was a bit more xion, roxas and namine and aqua terra and ventus because it was just sad to see them for ONE MINUTES

I think it that yes it was rushed at the end, and very slow paced at the start but it's setting up to an epic sequel (KH3) which will be jam-packed with the majority of past characters

LibertaerGER 5 Posted October 6, 2012 (edited) Hard to say. You can't use magic that often, and when you do, it does do much of anything. Similar to KH1 you have to use primary and secondary abilities. The third one you have to give up to boost the other one during the game. E. g. firaga burst comes handy with fire weak enemy.
AntonioKHT 449 Posted October 8, 2012 I don't know the other of the best KH games, and honestly, it doesn't really matter, people have different opinions and in the end it's futile, it's impossible to arrive at a 100% flawless opinion. I never played BbS, but I know it's an awesome game, so I can just leave it at that. KH3D and KH2 are the two games I complain less of. Both present a awesome gameplay, with Drives, commands, Flowmotion, etc. I think KH3D had the potential to be the best game of the series by far, since it developed a dark cast of enemies, it made Organization XIII a worthy opponent, they almost prevailed an it's members were not revealed, which gave me an even darker impression. In previous games, even though they were 100000X better than Maleficent, they were easily defeat by Sora and Riku, but KH3D, at least to me, I feared them, they presented a more definite threat to the heroes. But I'd say Nomura failed. When he became obsessed with releasing a game by year, he rushed to complete all his games. Proof is KH3D, that has the smallest story EVER. Each world has few cutscenes, and the worlds themselves are really small, even though it's areas are large, and difficult to explore sometimes. So KH2 prevailed in story for me, since KH3D is incredibly small. You can beat the game in a question of hours, while KH2 has many diferent worlds that are explored twice each (with it's exceptions) what makes the games much bigger. So KH3D could have been the best game so far, but it didn't, due to it's small story, even though it was more deeper and gripping, it left a taste of I want more, perhaps even to make us more anxious for KH3, but it only made me quite angry, as I'm sure it left other fans as well. And I wound up saying more about KH3D but whatever. 1 Blake Baker reacted to this
Blake Baker 3 Posted October 30, 2012 My thoughts exactly. KH2 is the best game. It holds a lot of nostalgia for me, too.
Ruran 481 Posted October 30, 2012 I have too many issues with KH2 to say it's the "best". I didn't like what that did with most of the characters, primarily Sora, Riku, and Kairi. The pacing was less than spectacular, Org.XIII wasn't threatening at all, neither was Maleficent or the other Disney villains that got pushed to the back burner. In general Disney got pushed back and rather than being their own self contained stories the plots from the Disney worlds were taken directly from the movies so it was like SDG just walked on set and the film makers decided to keep going because lulzs. It felt incredibly lazy. The worlds didn't have a sense of exploration the first game had, the battle mechanics were shallow, although smoother, and the whole thing was a cake walk even on Proud. Those are more or less the major ones but I have more tweaks with the game.
Weiss 8,279 Posted December 25, 2012 Well, to me it was too easy. The gameplay was actually pretty fun and the story was alright. I'd say it's one of the top ones of the series but probably not the best imo.

advfox 698 Posted December 25, 2012 It requires the least effort by far in the whole series, but I still love it, even more than KH3D.
