hatok 6,413 Posted August 11, 2012 No, seriously, think about it. It correlates SO MUCH - Story involving both Sora and Riku - Introduces some of the next antagonists, with reference to more - Sora falls into a coma - Sets up the characters being level 1 again - Provides framing device ti be explained in the next game - Introduces plot points previously unmentioned to KH that will have an effect on he future games - Both involve memories, and recovering true ones - The endings correlate; Sora's ends with him falling asleep, Riku's cntinues the plot and has him working to wake Sora up - Introduces Organization XIII ... wow... only in Kingdom Hearts!) - Deals with a plot to make Sora a pawn of the Organization - Both have high concentrations of Axel - Riku fights Ansem... again - Leads to the next numbered title And the crazy thing is, I'm sure there's a lot more... But yeah, DDD is basically our Chain of Memories this time around 7 OathkeeperRoxas, HarLea Quinn, AnHeiressofaSOLDIER and 4 others reacted to this
Kirux 1,224 Posted August 11, 2012 I can see that in a lot of ways. I never truly played CoM, I watched most of the cutscenes and read the manga, so I know the storyline and all. I find your comment about how only KH could introduce the same group of people...twice.
Hei 3,233 Posted August 11, 2012 Dang, that actually makes a lot of sense. Never thought to look at it in that way
Silent Fantasy 43 Posted August 11, 2012 I played KHII without ever reading on, watching, or playing CoM for myself. This time around though, I won't be so damn confused when KHIII starts. lol KHII wa awsomely intrigueing when I started, but I was very confused till the game got in it's later stages and explained most of it. WakingDawn96 1,166 Posted August 11, 2012 What gives you that idea? Its not like it is a main game in the series like COM was.

WakelessDream 2,278 Posted August 11, 2012 Well that's one way of looking at it. Now all we need is another Days that runs concurrent with DDD and after that, voila we have ourselves the next numbered title! Umm jks about the days part lol...

HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted August 11, 2012 Yep I agree . They both bridge us to the next main game and carry very important plot info that fills us in before the next console game

hatok 6,413 Posted August 11, 2012 Which is odd, since everyone I saw always went on about how this is like CoM. Well anyways, the point was more to show off JUST HOW MUCH they correlate. I mean, I'm sure a lot of people assumed DDD would function like CoM in terms of game sequencing, but this game is actually fairly similar on a fundamental game level as well. Shana09 5,769 Posted August 11, 2012 (edited) - Both introduce characters having potential to be in ur team but does not happen. c: forget about DE I want Neku, Quasi, Sam, Jimminy Cricket, Mickey, Donald and Goofy in my party along with ONE dream eater. ALSO - Worlds involve something that is in your heart brain like dreams and memories. Edited August 11, 2012 by Shana09
