KH3D *Spoilers* Ok Now Thats just WRONG!

Recommended Posts

I think that...

Riku got the power of diving into dreams and possibly hearts. If we put any stock into what Ansem the Wise said at the ending, Sora has the power to bring people back that have made a connection with him is heart, or so he thinks. However; as of right now the only one who knows about that is Riku, and it would seem at the end of DreamDrop that he hasn't told anyone, or if he has they may not have acted. (This could be wrong, based of Sora's absence in the secret ending).

Sora says 'Did we pass?' and Yen Sid nods.

They passed.

Okay, so they passed, but it was still the Mark of Mastery. That's why people say Sora failed period, because he didn't become a master, even if he technically succeeded with the test.

Yen Sid may have nodded out of kindness. I don't really think he's the type to tell a boy who just got plunged into darkness; "NO YOU'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH NEENER NEENER NEENER"

It's a test to find teh MARK of mastery. Not a 'become a master' test.

Sora has the mark of mastery, as evidenced by Yen Sid saying they both deserve to be masters.

Even though they both had teh Mark, what does Sora have to show for it? (Besides a spiffy new power... I think). They both "deserve the honor," but only Riku "braved the realm of sleep again to unlock the final keyhole and save a friend." Doesn't that mean that even though they both had teh Mark, only Riku truly "passed" because he was able to handle something Sora couldn't? Sora may have passed, too, but so what? The only thing he got out of it was the urge to leave and go train in order to better himself. Looking at it that way, I and many others took it as Sora failing.

Honestly, I'm not sure if it's just the English translation, but the way Yen Sid talks in the ending makes it sound a lot like there can only be one. Seriously, watch that part again; when he talks, he makes it sound like he WISHES they could bot be masters, but can only make Riku one

To be honest, the whole ending is kind of weird.

But I stand by the fact that it is never said that Sora fails, so people are jumping to conclusions,

Yes he says that Sora passes, but with not high enough scores. It's like taking any other test. Sora passed, but slacked off on the writing portion and scored about a B. Riku passed, but wrote an essay so damn good he got an A- PLUS a gold star AND a smiley face.

Does this mean Riku will be taught how to unlock the land of depature?

Only Aqua can do that now, and if you"re asking who her successor will be, there will probably a whole other round of students that will compete for the right, provided Aqua lives that long.

That's true, he didn't say it was exclusive to only him and his students, he said keyblade masters. But, without Aqua there the only person who could possibly know is Yen Sid, and whomever trained Eraqus and MX, if that person is still alive.

Riku had more character growth in this game. His mistakes in the past made him into a stonger person. The same is true for Sora, but he is a few years behind. 1. Being younger. 2. Being in a coma for a year. 3. Getting captured and put in a coma again. Sora has the strength, the skill, he just needs to hit puberty first. His voice just changed NOW, he needs to grow hair where there was no hair before to become a master.

What i mean is, Sora's mistakes in 3D will alow him to grow like Riku has. It's not his fault, he is just younger and at a different point in his character arc.

Here's a Sum-Up of pretty much what everyone's saying:

-Both Passed, one just got keyblade master

-Sora no cares

-Both have power

-Riku is kewler than you

-Sora fell into darkness while Riku had to save him

-Either Yen-Sid is a douch or Eraqus went REEAALLLY easy on Aqua and Terra*i guess cause it was a 11 year difference things change bro*

-you can tell they both have power, because Riku went into Sora's Dreams to kill dem Nightmares, and Sora went back to RoS to train and visit his Pok-i mean Dream Eaters

-He and Kairi will most likely be Keyblade Masters in KH3,unless Sora is too uncomfortable around Kairi to do anything to pass

Now heres my part, think of Soras story from a non-game perspective, have fun seeing Sora's mom get eaten by darkness while hes having adventures with his fwiends

Yes he says that Sora passes, but with not high enough scores. It's like taking any other test. Sora passed, but slacked off on the writing portion and scored about a B. Riku passed, but wrote an essay so damn good he got an A- PLUS a gold star AND a smiley face.

Writing Essay for Sora = my life in a Nutshell

Yen Sid may have nodded out of kindness. I don't really think he's the type to tell a boy who just got plunged into darkness; "NO YOU'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH NEENER NEENER NEENER"

when i saw that i started rolling around so much my cat woke up,looked at me funny, and went back to sleep, then i got back up and did it again

I think the real answer is simply "Riku is kewler than you." It's kind of a flip around of how Riku felt while on Destiny islands in KH one. He was jealous of Sora for being more popular, of sorts, but guess what Sora? Riku's not top gun. Oh yeah!

soras recklessness in chain of memories AND in 3D when he chased after dreams put himself and others in danger when it could have been avoided if he used common sense.

to me i dont think he should have become measter since he still has a lot to learn

Aqua, Eraqus and Yen Sid are all prime examples of common sense, aren't they?

moreso than sora was in chain of memories, he went deeper into the castle knowing that he was putting him Donald and Goofy in danger in more ways than just memory loss over some girl he barely remembers in a place where your memories are getting messed with.

Yen Sid never really did anything wrong he was just misinformed and unaware that one version of Ansem had the ability to time travel, had he known that things would probobly have gone differnt. i never played through BBS so i dont exactly know what Aqua did that lacked common sense. and if eraqus had destroyed Ven like he had intended than all of the suffering in future games never would have happened since Xehanort would have eventually just diead an old man.

It's BECAUSE his memories have been altered that he does this.

But Yen Sid gives terrible advice that leads to problems in pretty much every KH game

Aqua... just sort of sucks at everything

And Eraqus uses borderline troll logic.

and im saying that with common sense in a place where people controll your memories you shouldnt trust them and get out of there ASAP.

Bit if you manipulate a person memories, how can you ever know? By the end, Sora forgot ever remembering here (... wow... only in KH could I get away with saying that)

If I were Sora I would have tried to book it s soon as the first creepy robed man showed up and gave me a free thing. Never accept free things from strangers.

If I changed your memories so that you thought you agreed with me, would you be able to tell, and not do it?

but that wasnt the case therefore your point is invalid. there were obveous signs that his memories were being messed with, no alterations were done to make him believe his new memories were real just random strangers who luered you into a mysterious castle told him they were and he believed them. his memories werent altered so he would believe his new ones.

my point still stands, anyone with common sense would get the hell out

Hm? What? No. Sora believed Namine was his friend the moment he started remembering her.

ADDITIONALLY, they say he is losing his memories in order to regain new ones, so there's that.

Honestly, if anything, Sora's irrational behavior is a direct response to HOW this is working; they basically made his SO desperate to save Namine that he couldn't do anything else.
