No, they haven't started working on it. FFXIII Versus (damn that game to hell) is still in development.

 

There are big announcements coming and it has been a while since anything about versus xiii has been said, I think it's almost done, and just because the game team is busy finishing that up there are other aspects to making a game, the sketches upon sketches of concepts the story boarding the writing!

I think it has entered the beginning stages of production so I am going to say one to two years till the game comes out, but I imagine we will start seeing things withing the next six months

Yeah but that came out like a year after one and it was done by a different team than worked on two I believe.

I am betting it will be on PS3....even if they start working on III within the next six months the PS4 isnt stated till 2014 maybe 2015, and as quickly as there putting games out now (Versus being the exception as its been a game 11 years in the making now ) I am guessing KHIII will be out between late 2013 and MId 2014.

At lease those are my hopes for it

yeah it was a year between one and CoM but it was 4 years after that 2 came out, then it was two years for 358/2 Days then it was what three or four for BBS and Re:Coded? and then it was another two almost three for 3D they need to start pumping them out people are gonna lose interest

You can't deny that deciding to give the 3DS instead of the Vita a high quality Kingdom Hearts title does not imply anything.

 

Nomura said the Vita was too close to a home console.

 

But KH3 is more than likely a PS3 title.

Judging by that, either kh1 and 2 will be remade in HD

Or the new KH3 could be realised on the system, as KH has never been seen in the detail PS3 can do. However I think it also could mean that KH3 might be released along side the PS4's release (would be typically to bring the game out on a new platform, though i'm unsure if they would want to risk it cause so many people are already annoyed having to buy a psp for BBS, DS for days, 3DS for DDD, Gameboy at the time for COM).

We know they're working on it, they just won't announce anything until they have truly ground breaking technology to present, which could be the "never-before-seen" detail.

PS3 games will still be made even a few years into the PS4s life. The PS4 will be BC most likely. KH doesn't need anything stronger than a PS3 to be realistic. So PS3 is a very safe bet even by 2015.

I've never seen any difference in any KH game cutscenes graphics in all the consoles it has been released...so why create them in different ones?? http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smiley-confuse.png...just for gameplay and to earn more money I think

I love the ending cutscenes of KH1 and KH2 when the graphics are shown like real..that's the best part

Exactly. They've made enough money by putting the games on pretty much every port. Now its time to put it on the ps3!

I mean really...have you ever seen any better graphics in cutscenes in any KH game???they are all the same

the only difference is during the gameplay and they use the best of a console during gameplay,not cutscenes

Well my thoughts are that the Opening and Ending Cutscenes in KH1 and KH2 are what the PS3 is capable of showing us with Kingdom Hearts.

What do you mean it's not? I'm pretty sure it is with how FFXIII looks and how amazing Versus XIII looks. That's about the same look that the KH1 and KH2 openings and endings have. And yes, the PS3 is very much capable of playing that.

Gameplay'd look the same too. I've seen how Versus gameplay looks too and comparing it to the cutscenes equals no difference at all.

That I'd like but apparently they won't be making a HD collection so that means we're down to a couple years of waiting for KH3. There won't be any console game between that time unless it's a Theatrhythm or Dissidia and really a Theatrhythm sounds unnecessary with the amount of games at the moment. I'd wait for a few more before making a Theatrhythm, or at least until after KH3. Otherwise there's that apparent remake of KH Moblie for IOS that few people are trying to predict.

Would'nt they have trouble making an HD collection anyway? With the whole Tarzan rights thing. So I agree with you 100%. Right now all we can do is wait.
