SnowpointQuincy 11 Posted August 10, 2012 I never used balloons in my first playthrough. But alot of people here are talking like Bubbles are a godsend. Why are Ballon spells so good, and How do you use them strategicly in battle. 1 lizzie1238 reacted to this
FireRubies1 1,325 Posted August 10, 2012 They are amazing that is all I can say but the regular balloon spell isn't all that helpful. Balloonra and Balloonga do a good amount of damage. They pretty much work on any bunch of enemies or one enemy with lots of HP

Why are Ballon spells so good, and How do you use them strategicly in battle. Ballons = Summons 5 balls of magic just standing there until some person hits it (its a good spell) Ballonara = (BEST ONE) summons 5 balls that u send flying at the opponent, does a lot of good damage Ballonga = Summons a gigantic ball of magic that slowly comes towards the opponent and on contact bursts to create 5 magic balls (similar to Ballons) and stay there and then if the opponent comes towards those 5 ballons, the 5 ballons comes towards the opponent and attack them (similar to Ballonara). Ballonara is the best tho.

Memory's skyline 5 Posted August 10, 2012 Balloon, Balloonra, And Balloonga and all great spells to use. I prefer balloonra the most though, as it hits a lot of range. Basically, what they do is allow Sora or Riku to conjure up balloons in a certain way. Balloon Puts balloons around the user, damaging enemies that the balloon touch. Balloonra make Sora or Riku conjure up a cluster of balloons, then smash the keyblade into them sending them in differrent direction and home in on enemies. Ballonga summons a giant balloon that explodes on contact, dealing damage, and sending out smaller balloons they have a little home and dealing damage. all are great, but i recommend balloonra! hope this helped 1 Skai reacted to this
KeyOfVentus 90 Posted August 10, 2012 I think he means when you open a chest and you get a balloon, which is a Dream Eater Training Game, if you go to the Spirit menu and look at where the training tools are, press the left arrow twice and you'll see that and the water barrels, which is probably the best way other than level grinding to get a lot of LP. There's a tutorial when you select it...
Yang 1,859 Posted August 10, 2012 Lol for a second there I thought you were talking about real balloons I was like "Uh, you blow it up and tie the end off?"
SnowpointQuincy 11 Posted August 10, 2012 Ok, Learned alot about Balloon Spells. Thanks! I assume they do Water Type Damage? Do you know which spirits give Ballonra/ga spells ot stacks of water boost?
hatok 6,413 Posted August 10, 2012 I personally think Baloonga is the best, Baloonra leaves you open for a long time because it has an extra slashing animation. 2 Mirr0rVS13 and Skai reacted to this
lizzie1238 538 Posted August 10, 2012 I have Balloon and Balloonga, I never really liked them though. How do you get Balloonra?
Skai 3,961 Posted August 10, 2012 I never used balloons in my first playthrough. But alot of people here are talking like Bubbles are a godsend. Why are Ballon spells so good, and How do you use them strategicly in battle. Balloon, Balloonra and Balloonga are water magic commands. They work best against enemies with low resistance to water and particularly any enemy for that matter. I prefer Balloonga, because it is more convenient. One can simply cast it and move away or attack the enemy as the large Balloon floats towards it. On contact, it releases 6 Balloons that act as homing missiles towards one or all targets, if there are any there. Balloonra is somewhat useful, but there is a huge lag time as the character jumps to attack the clump of 6 Balloons. Balloon is just a command that summons 6 Balloons that surround the character, it can be used as a shield if need be and is a pretty good beginning command. 2 hatok and Andrewcool81 reacted to this

Final Arcana 11 Posted August 10, 2012 Balloonga and Balloonra is heaven in magic form. Seriously..... Prob the most powerfull magic spell in the KH series. They cause devastating damage, and on top of that they stun your enemies aswell. Just firetrucking awesome, thats all there is to say.
shivarice 0 Posted August 14, 2012 The balloonga is probably the best out of the three. You don't have to hit them to send it flying; it moves by itself. In addition, it will home onto enemies once the big balloon breaks into 5 little ones as Sky Heart mentioned. Off topic, I find it amusing because compared to the other spells it is colorful and usually when people are fighting the last few final bosses, they're using all of these mind blowing skills that look cool instead I'm just sending out colorful balloons. If the bosses were real, they probably yelled at me for not using proper final bosses killing skills :c.
