Because it stores data for a bunch of dream eaters, their stats, abilities, and link abilities, never mind Sora and Riku's data has to be kept track of on top of that

I agree that it should have more. With the DS games there was only a limited amount of space: the space on the cartridge. However, with KH3D, not only can the cartridge store 4GB, but there is additional storage space on the 3DS' SD card. We should be able to save game data to the SD card and have more save slots.
