You're saying the clothes are vital to the plot yet, earlier in the games production they would have had their actual kh1 clothes thus closing off that part of the plot. The Organization keeps finding Sora without that X thing (even though Sora's KH2 outgit does have an X as well o.O) There would be some plot changes, but maybe not as much as we think.
