KHDays 358/2 Days VS. RE:Coded

Recommended Posts

damn i guess i have to be the odd one out i prefer re:coded over days because 1.Its fun to play (days felt like more of a chore to do than an actual video game) 2.had way more replay ability (honestly once i beat days i only wanted to re-fight riku cuz that was the only fight in the entire game that was actually fun apart from saix) 3.honestly its all around a better game idc how messed up or bad the story is as long as im having fun im happy.

Both of them are the best because it says kingdom hearts

I'm going to have to agree with this, but if I were forced to choose I'd go with Days. It has actual story and getting to beat things up as all the Org members, plus the others was really fun. Floating around as Xemnas killing poor little shadows with his lightsabers. Poor little guys.

I agree whole heartedly. The only one you couldn't get me to play is CoM...I bought the manga instead xD

I did enjoy the manga, I actually bought it before KHII came out just so I'd know hat the heck was going on, lol. For some reason I did get the CoM remake for Ps2...never played it. I think I just wanted the postcards inside.

I also like that 358/2 is mission based, and you get to learn a lot about the other members of Org XIII, which was really nice.

Personally I liked Days more, because it was my first KH game and it wasn't overly difficult for me to figure out what was happening. As many other people have said, I like the storyline in Days better than in Coded.

i'd have to say i would prefer re-coded.

the story of days was great but the gameplay just fell flat, and since people play games to play and thats what re-coded did better i would have to say re:coded

Days, because I am weird and prefer story over better game play, and Days's game play isn't even that bad. I put over 100 hours into Days. I put over 130 hours in Re:coded, and about 100 of those where leaving it in tag mode while I went to school so I could get all 100 floors and fight the "secret boss".

I won't deny, though, that Re:coded is fun. The battle system is great, and the world specific gimmicks were cool. It isn't a game I would replay, though (Days was).

I personally prefered the story and gameplay of 358/2 Days. I guess I'm a little bias because I love Roxas but I also enjoyed getting to play at the other Organization members. I personally found RE:Coded to be the most boring of the series, still enjoyed it though.

Re:coded. I like Days, but it's my least favorite KH game. I thought Mission Mode was disappointing, I despised Xion, and didn't like Roxas as a lead character. Axel, Saix, Xigbar, and Xemnas however all had great roles and were portrayed very well. The gameplay wasn't very good and all the enemies had too much health which could be tedious. However, beating all the missions 100% was pretty satisfying.

While Re:coded's story is weird and kinda dumb, the enjoyable gameplay switch ups, having a good lead character, and not having Xion made it more enjoyable for me. The basic gameplay was more or less the same, with cooler deck commands, but the boss fight gameplays made it a lot more fun. And I loved Olympus Coliseum...

Both are good games but I prefer 358/2 Days over Re:Coded (I usually reach for the emotional Axel, Roxas, Xion lazy afternoons before defeating "bugs"). In Days, the missions annoyed me after a while when I first played.....but I love the story and didn't really mind the missions after a couple more playthroughs. Re:Coded is basically a data version of Sora re-visiting data worlds from KH1, which I don't mind either but the gameplay is better than the story. I enjoy both games though and suggest doing Days before Re:Coded :D

Days isa better game because it has more engaging characters, a simpler combat system, and a more important and intricate story to the Kingdom Hearts series. Coded can be conveyed in a few cutscenes, while the experience with the characters in Days can only be gained over time.

Days for story. But the missions kinda gets repetitive and sometimes you've to visit one world SO MANY HECK TIMES. Aside from that, Days also had that awesome multiplayer mode, where you play as any character from O13 even Riku x3, but it gets choppy sometimes.

RE:Coded, well, one thing I liked about is, before you could get bored of a world, there's always something new to do. Imo, had a weak storyline.
