Do you miss fighting alongside Donald and Goofy, or do you like the Dream Eaters?

As much as I love customizing Dream Eaters and what not, they simple aren't as helpful or engaging as Donald and Goofy, combat-wise.

 

*(MINOR SPOILERS)*

 

Additionally, Donald and Goofy at least had roles to play in the storyline. Minor roles... but still roles. Dream Eaters don't really appear in any of the cutscenes, which almost makes it feel like they were just thrown in the mix at the last minute simply to replace Donald and Goofy

I like both very much.

The Dream Eater is a fresh, creative idea. I love developing them and bonding with them.

I do miss the tomparary teaming with Disney characters. Especially Jack Skellington!!!!!

The only way I would want Donald and Goofy back was if there was something brand new about them, or a different way for them to work.

Dream Eaters are more...dependable? Yes. And they don't die too easily. In fact, I only had to rescue one once. And combo moves (or Links) are more powerful/useful than with Donald and Goofy. Although D&G are useful for story comic relief. But that's it.

I kept thinking it would so cool to have both dream eaters and world specific characters fighting with you...

 

For example, In Notre Dame, you would have your dream eater team with you and also Phoebus with you fighting as you make your way through the world...more specifically when you go to warn Esmeralda of Frollo, Quasimodo and phoebus would be with you as well as your dream eaters...

tutti frutti. I don't really care much for party members. BBS more so shows that you can pretty much go through a game without them. KH1 and KH2, Donald and Goofy were pretty much the distraction, which I stopped giving potions to. Dream Eaters were just there for abilities that got in your way. But I'm fine without party members, but what can you do when you have them.

The Dream Eater pushed me off the edge. Donald won't heal me. Riku somehow died at the Xemnas fight. The Wonder Meow pushed me into the enemy. I don't like either of them much at this point.

Honestly I haven't played 3D yet, but from the walkthroughs I've watched so far, I like the dream eaters better.<33

i like both. but considering how fast your party members die,it kinda makes you want to just fight alone. in BBS i was releived to have fought all by myself

Dream Eater are ok. Donald and Goofy are fine by me. Don't mind Organization members (doesn't matter how many there are in my party). It doesn't matter. In the end: they always get in the way somehow! I usually try to save my partners, but the only item in Days that doesn't only cure you is Mega-Potion (witch only cures 50% of health) and sometimes it gets so boring to be there for your partner that it becomes a escort mission Escort mission are the worse!

It's definitely different. They don't take the enemies as well as Donald and Goofy did though.
