hatok 6,413 Posted July 26, 2012 Let's face it, KH3 is going to have to be the culmination of all Kingdom hearts so far if it's going to live up to hype. What sorts of elements would you like to see drawn on for it? Personally, I'd like to see something like the stat matrix, perhaps something that lets you gain additional bonuses when you level up? It'd be a good way to supply supplemental stats and abilities. Obviously I want the command deck back, but perhaps expanded? Combos perhaps? Maybe using two commands consecutively causes them to combine into a new, superior one? I also think it'd be kind of cool if different keyblades had different combos, like in Days and Re:Coded And I'd like to see the Drive Forms return. It'd be cool if the Drive Forms had an effect on your commands, like Wisdom Form made your commands more magical, while Valor Form would increase your combo rate, or something? I'd like to see Summons and D-Links converge into one thing, as well. What about you? (Remember, this is about things that have appeared in previous games, not just what you want in KH3)

Ultimus Grid 546 Posted July 26, 2012 I definitely want reaction and shot-lock commands to come back. The reaction commands were so entertaining to perform; shot-locks (when leveled up high enough) were such boss DESTROYERS.

Jim 2,990 Posted July 26, 2012 I had mixed feelings about the change in Keyblade combos in Days. I hated starting a boss fight then realizing "oh crap this keyblade is terrible for aerial battles like this" type of deal. Flowmotion should stay, it would probably be enhanced somehow Command Deck over command menu. Hands down. Even though it's probably better for the portable entries, it's an excellent system, and I prefer it over the other one for sure.

Zenithia 305 Posted July 26, 2012 tutti frutti. I hope that it's something that helps keep the game interesting and fun instead of making the game far too easy. KH2 did feel easy, though at the same time it was fun. Plus I want to see maybe Shotlock commands, reaction commands (KH2), KH1 and KH2 fighting style, possibly online competition and possibly some other stuff to help keep the game interesting in its own right. Even though it's probably better for the portable entries, it's an excellent system, and I prefer it over the other one for sure. The thing is, Days used combos differently from all other KH games. Normally, in KH, you need to hit an enemy to continue your combo, which lead to your first strike being very situational; you can slide toward a distant enemy, or smash a close up one. In Days, it's just that one combo, no matter what, which makes it hard to land at hit if your combo sucks. I think flowmotion could be enhanced by making it flow more from one move to the next. As it is, each action is very distinct and separate, a actual 'flow' could be really cool.

If one tries to stand on those Reality Link barrels from KH3D you'll just fall right off it.I also noticed that I weren't able to stand on various things in Traverse Town which I originally could stand on in KH1. Why do I want to stand on things? It makes the game feel more free; being able to go pretty much where ever you want. Also, something I wish they would bring back from KH1 is making the next world a surprise. In recent games we can see what the next world is long before we even go there. In KH1 you didn't know what the next world was until you finished the Gummi route and actually got there. And more interactions with the environment. In KH1 in Traverse Town you could use blizzard to put out the candles at that small restaurant. You could light the fireplace at Cid's shop and use blizzard again to put it out. In Wonderland you could drink a potion and you'd either shrink or grow tall. You could talk to the flowers in Wonderland and they'd give stuff to you. At the Olympus Coliseum there were also some fires you could put out. And also climbing robes, ladders and trees. Some of these things are useless but fun extras. 3 hatok, Kairilein and Rob reacted to this
Firaga 5,947 Posted July 27, 2012 Pretty much all the good stuff from all the games, I would think. I mean, maybe that's why Normura kept doing different stuff each game. so he can test out ideas. And in the future, all the good ones go into the best KH game yet. Genius.
Ven983 490 Posted July 27, 2012 I would love to see flowmotion, but not sure if it is something they are capable of only in the dream world. Command deck is a must. multiple playable characters is a flat out obvious thing. and also D-links are very nice. I am not sure I want the drive forms back, at least not in the way they were in KH2, I would like the forms not to be so overpowering like they were. Party members are a definite. nd I really think that each keyblade should have a special command that can only be used when yu have that keyblade equipped. Dave 5,715 Posted July 27, 2012 (edited) I would like to see more of the platforming elements from the first Kingdom Hearts. Make it so there's more to do in a world than just hack and slash. I really want to get the element of exploring back. The battle system from BBS. In spite of all of my grievances with the story, I thought the combat gameplay was the best. However, I'd prefer to cut the D-Links, as they really weren't needed. Also, I want the return of active party members in the form of Donald, Goofy, or whoever is present on the worlds you visit. However, in the spirit of Coded and the Olympus Coliseum there, I would liek the opporunity to create a party that can grow and level up. dawn seeker 2 Posted July 27, 2012 I'd love to see the return of trinity's from KH1, reaction commands and control scheme from KH2, nothing from days or coded and the command deck, mirage arena, shotlock and command melding from BBS and finally from DDD, the flow motion system and maybe not the dream eaters themselves but a similar system of party management (keyblade apprentices maybe?). I'd also like to see D-link system merged with the drive form system seeing as sora's friends are his 'power' I'd love to see get given a temporary outfit change like the drive forms and a change to his combat style and command deck like D-links, like a 'riku form' with more dark based and aerial attacks or an 'aqua form' with a more nimble magic feel... basically turning sora into megaman from the battle network series haha oh and on the PS3 of course. AntonioKHT 449 Posted July 28, 2012 What I really want is the KH1 and KH2 command menu back, since it's easy to use and it doesn't consist of waiting to take actions. Also, I think they're going to put it back anyways, because Nomura tends to use them in Numbered Titles, while he creates new ones for other ones, like KH3D or CoM... I'd love to see reaction commands back, but like you guys said, in a way that it doesn't make the game easy, I mean, KH2 was a walk in the park, beating it is not quicker because the game is bigger than the others. Stat Matrix... Nah, getting those chips is too annoying, but I would like to see what upgrades I used for my character, like how many Strengh or Magic +1 I used, and even undo their use. i didn't got in touch with D-Links, but it seems a good thing to alter your commands and also your fighting style, I'd like to see it, it interests me. I never really used summons on a real battle, only in KH2 on tournaments and leveling them up to have acess to Hades Cups, so I woudn't miss them (even though they're likely to appear) Still haven't used flowmotion either, but I guess it would make things more interesting, since you can have acess to areas in a more quick way Of course, Drive Forms are something everyone would like to see return, and so would I! But like Reaction Commands, it makes the game too easy, so I hope it differs a little. It was nice using trinity in KH1, except when you didn't have the party members. Witrh that fixed, I'd love to see it on KH3, but I don't think it's gonna happen, I don't know if Donald and Goofy will be partners on this last game, since Sora will have to face the trouble with only Riku, I guess, because they're considered to be too weak, like in BbS, when they couldn't help Ven rescue Mickey. Magic could be like in KH2, since a reloadable MP makes the battle quicker, different than in KH1, that recharging the MP took too much for a more active game. It works for FF, but not for KH. Also, I'd like to see more magic, they limited it way too much on KH2, in KH1 we had a bigger variety with Aero and Gravity. I don't miss carrying stuff around, I never liked pushing barrels or rocks... Although like JTD95 said, I miss a connetion with the environment a little... more surprises, you know? Litting up torches and suddenly you find a chest! Tournaments is another must do, but I'm not sure about wether with or without EXP. In KH1 it was too easy, in KH2 too difficult, so which one? But an appart from Coliseum, like Mirage Arena from BbS seem more interesting. Those Drive Forms Abilities must return! I mean, it was kinda hard to reach level max sometimes, but i enjoyed doing it! (after you do a hundred times, you kinda get used to do it...) Like I said, I don't think Donald and Goofy will be back, but I hope to have Keyblade Wielders like Riku on my team, just like he battle with us in KH2 in TWTNW. But I'd like to be have more active members, I mean, Sora, once he reaches like 99 becames a imortal on the other games. Two hits and he kills the toughest enemies... alone. Another thing, if we could have Sora and Riku, or even Terra, Aqua , Ven, it would be interesting to switch the team meber you're controling. That way, even a multiplayer game during story mode would be interesting. This, however, it's unlikely to appear. I didn't like Days fighting style, I wouldn't like to see anything from it.. Those minigames from Coded were kinda cool, but I don't think we'll be seeing them again... It's really an "one time thing" Nomura comes up for not numbered titles. Since I haven't played BbS, I don't know about Shot Lock, but it seems as interesting as D-Link. Less minigames... in KH2, playing them and fulfilling their goals so we could complete the Journal was the most annoying thing ever (I tried...) Synthesis is a challenge to acquire Ultima Weapon, much better than actually fighting a Secret Boss, since if you defeat the strongest enemy in the game, what are you going to this Keyblade for? About secret Bosses, there should be more. in KH2, there was only Sephiroth, gladly they added Lingering Will and Data Members of the Organization. Rematches are excellent, but some truly NEW bosses(not like the Data Members) have to appear more. I also want that these bosses appear in areas that don't interfere with collecting chests like Phantom did in KH1 (if you forget to get that chest, you HAVE to kill the boss to open the chest, which pretty much sucks) And aside from gameplay, I'd really like to have all worlds so far in KH3. That way the game would be huge, and yet a connecting way to finish Xehanort Saga. We would go to Wonderland, Traverse Town, Land of Dragons, Neverland or Port Royal, Agrabah, every frickin place Sora, Roxas and Ven,Terra and Aqua went. Of course, 100 Acre Wood can be dismised, I'm tired of Pooh Bear's minigames! LOL I wrote too much!
Hyperion 144 Posted July 28, 2012 I want you to be able to use the abilities the D-links gave you like Haste, or auto life. It would make the game alot better and spruce it up.
