Nafees Rahman 35 Posted July 19, 2012 So yeah Ign Cueb3 and other reviewers that im too lazy to type said that its the best portable yet. But many people still thinks its a useless "side story" Which is wierd since it isnt... .. Many reviewers also held it down since they didnt like the switching mechanic between riku and sora which is fun to me and MetroGamecentral gave it a forty which is a meh they can say what they want I guess but they say the combat is shallow and repetetive and they call flowmation and dream eater buddies an awful concept so I guess people take things differently..http://www.metro.co.uk/tech/games/905488-kingdom-hearts-3d-dream-drop-distance-review-oh-mickey

HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted July 19, 2012 Well its definitely not a useless side story since it bridges the plot straight into KH3. However, i do agree the drop mechanic is flawed . Being forced to drop mid boss fight and then having to restart the fight when you return to it is a legitimate reason to be annoyed . 2 Rob and Queen Tery reacted to this

At least they fixed the health bar issue that was in the Japanese version, and you can drop right back to what you were doing; so it's not really a huge issue. owo 2 HarLea Quinn and Rob reacted to this

I think that people just want KHIII so badly that they really dont want to play anything but. But what no one has connected yet is that every "side story" they have come up with is actually relevent to the main KH storyline. So while numbered titles are awesome and I am excited that they are more than likely finally doing KHIII, I think that KH is a multilayered story that cannot just be told through numbered titles. BBS while not on a console was one of the most amazing "side stories" ever. And the relevance to the story is astronomical! I mean sure I guess we could go with out knowing what started this venture. But the story would feel incomplete. Anyway long story short, I think KH3D is going to be just as epic, I love the Drop feature as it is a creative and inovative way to switch between two of the most important characters in the series! While collecting dream eaters seems odd in the KH universe, I think it will be fun to raise and see the differences in them all. So let them say what there gonna say. I think it takes a true KH fan to appreciate all the aspects of every title, even if its a "side story". 3 sorariku17, zephyrbreeze and Gxmwp reacted to this

All im sayin' is that for the ones who dont its a legitimate complaint lol yeah, if i was doing a level 1 challenge....and the dream eater boss was taking like 10 thousand years to kill, and then the dream gauge came and all i had was 30 seconds.....left and it still had 2 bars left, and then i dropped and came back to see that it had full hp. I'd be pissed. 1 HarLea Quinn reacted to this

But I will say even though the wern't the same battle systems or whatever, but I really enjoyed every KH story, and replaying and what not have kept me mostly busy till the next one comes out. xig28 25 Posted July 20, 2012 just so you know when your drop between characters if you rack up enough dream points from enemies you can make your character gain bonuses like defense up, attack up, etc so maybe ppl dont like the dropping between characters but i reviewers or anyone never seem to bring this up and act like its not there. just point it out on the benefits of dropping between characters

xig28 25 Posted July 20, 2012 yes its there which now i think about it not many ppl know about it but thats maybe because its never really shown. Actually if anyone has any questions on the game please feel free to ask me since i played the japanese version twice on proud and critical
sorariku17 37 Posted July 20, 2012 When did that happen in the series O_O Hmm never new that since KHIIFM? and BBS? also you could be level 1 in coded, and level one in 365/2 days too. all of the new games have critical sort of things (level 1 challenges etc) so i am assuming this has the same. BTW got my game.....its fun! and so beautiful

xig28 25 Posted July 21, 2012 at the beginning you get the no exp ability which is equip able at anytime in the game. you will only gain what is given through the stories and bosses….but a level one playthrough is quite impossible in this. the enemies are smarter and surrounding you and hitting you. the gameplay isnt anything much different then bbs
