Do you think spoilers can always take away most of the fun you would have with a game if you hadn't spoiled yourself?

    • Yeah, of course! I guess they can make a great game lose most of what could be a great time for someone who didn't spoil themselves.

    • Yes... Although watching is different from playing, in the end it does take away part of the good time you could have had..

    • A little... I guess it does make a difference, but it's no big deal.

    • Nah... I'll have seen the game earlier, later on I'll just play it myself. It won't take away the good times I'll have.

    • I don't care about spoiling myself as long as I get the game later.

    • It depends on the game... If it has an amazing story, then I guess it can...

Not for me. I like spoilers, because I'm kind of impatient. It doesn't really ruin anything, because I still get to experience it all happening. When I spoil myself it's usually through reading about it on a wiki or something. I might watch the ending or something, but this way I don't totally ruin the experience.

I honestly don't care if i get spoiled it doesn't affect the enjoyment unless it's something along lines of Bioshock which isn't common in video games. In comics i care little more about spoilers in certain stories.

i already watched a lot of spoilers,i knew the game will not be the same, but,it will still be perfect(hearing it from the english actors!)

Edit: If i spoiled myself,it's because i wanted,i'm impatient too in the story of KH,

I pretty much watched the whole game online in Japanese. But since I don't understand Japanese it wasn't much of a spoiler to me. So I really don't care that much about spoilers.

Definitely. Which is why I am mad that I accidentally clicked on a spoiler tag here, and then some idiots on IGN reminded me of the spoiler (which I was trying to forget). Clicking on the spoiler tag was my fault, but people who post unmarked spoilers are just complete jerks. Gah, just gah.

If I am playing a game for its story, then I only want to find out the events of the story by going through the story. It is substantially less fun playing a game when you know everything that happens.

If a game is fun, it should be fun regardless of whether or not you know what's going to happen. (unless it's something like phoenix wright where the plot is basically the entire game).

Usually what I do is I only spoil the major plot twist and not all the little ones, that way there's still some element of surprise when I go to play the game.
