Johto and Kanto. Well, since i can only choose 1, i chose Johto since you pretty much have the best of both worlds there.

Kanto and Johto, the newer the region the less I tend to like it but I love love love Kanto and Johto.

Pros

Kanto- The original. Everything about it was amazing.

Johto- It was the perfect sequel, adding things but keeping it uncomplicated.

Hoenn- A revolution in storytelling and great with contests, and an amazing next step foward.

Sinnoh- A massive region that never ceased to amaze me with its depth.

Unova- Modeled after NYC, a neighboring city. The story and region were revolutionary.

Cons

Kanto- It was just ordinary by today's standards

Johto- The region seems smaller and quicker than others.

Hoenn- Nothing limited in Pokemon able to catch.

Sinnoh- Relied on old Pokemon to fully appreciate (e.g. Mamoswine, Gliscor)

Unova- The Pokémon aren't as impressive as the other regions.

 

So in the end, it might be

1. Kanto

2. Sinnoh

3. Johto

4. Hoenn

5. Unova

 

But I love them all.

tutti frutti. I would have to say Kanto and Johto both. Though all of them have their ups and downs. The reason I say Kanto and Johto is that Silver/Gold/Crystal are the only ones I thought was good since it allowed you to travel between more than just one region.

Hoenn. Emerald is still probably my most favourite Pokémon game to-date.

I grew up with Pokémon, played practically all the games and watched the tv show and all, but Hoenn is my favourite.

 

Hoenn > Unova > Johto = Kanto > Sinnoh

 

I like all of them really, but I'm not too keen on Sinnoh.

I mainly play Crystal and SoulSilver, so I had to vote for Johto, even though my favorite parts of those games are visiting Kanto. But I love going back and forth between the two regions. I really enjoy both Johto and Kanto.
