I think they mean more along the lines of certain things that we're never explained really..like I saw a post earlier about the Simba summon saying that he was the king yet he hadn't taken the place on his throne until kh2, or like how a lot of plot points we know happened but were never "shown in game"..like Mickey actually obtaining the Kingdom Key D in the RoD...Riku's absence, etc., stuff that they said was going to be in BBSv2

I'll give an example in the original Ansem reports it states that the apprentices fell to darkness because of the experiments they were doing on the heart. In KH3D they show the apprentices fell because of Xehanort stabbing them with the keyblade.

Pretty much everything here isn't a plot hole. Everything a character says doesn't need to be 100% fact. Ansem probably never saw Xehanort stab everybody. Simba being king wasn't a plot point, it was a blurb, and people are more familiar with him being the'Lion King' as opposed to what he is in KH2.

Really? To me it just felt like things were coming together. We got, like, how many games worth of questions, and 3D's finally answering some of them. The stuff in 3D didn't come across to me as blatant contradictions, just answers to questions the characters and players don't know the full story behind.

 

Since this thread allows open spoilers, mind telling me some of the stuff you thought seemed contradictory? Maybe you're right and I'm just not paying enough attention.

I was about to argue with you that the plot makes sense and is rewarding to those able to follow it. Then five seconds later I realized that if I ever needed to sit down and explain the story to someone unfamiliar with the series, I wouldn't even know where to start.

Actually.... the plot isnt hard to understand . I'll explain the whole plot to try covering any plotholes ( if there are any really ). So, there was once a psycho named Xehanort who wanted to obtain the true Kingdom hearts (not just an artificial version of it). He didnt really know where to start til he became a creepy old man lol. After studying many things, he learned that in order to obtain KH he needed 1 of the following:) 1) 2 persons 1 with heart of pure light and 1 of pure darkness having equal powers to battle in order to create the x-blade.2) the seven princesses of heart and having all worlds conquered ultimately by the darkness and finally 3) ( kh 3d reveals this) 7 lights and 13 darknesses to clash in a keyblade war to create again the x-blade.

 

At first he tried to accomplish the first choice. He found Ventus and extracted all the darkness within him to create Vanitas. However this weakened Ventus to much, so Xehanort took Ventus to Eraqus so he could train him. There he encountered Terra and Aqua. Aqua didnt serve him any purposes so he focused on Terra. He wanted to take over his body so that he would survive long enough to see (or create) a second keyblade war. Due to Vanitas unversed had appears to some worlds. Xehanort took this to his advantage to fill Terra with rage during his task to eliminate the unversed. Vanitas, prolly under xehanorts orders tried to eliminate aqua during her journey cause she was only an obstacle to his plans.

 

Vanitas also attacked Ventus ( surely under xehanorts orders as well) to see if they were equal in power yet... but they werent. Eraqus learned about all this and tried to kill ventus in order to prevent anything worse from happening. Terra saw Eraqus though and tried to stop him by battling him. After the battle Eraqus dies having realized his cruelty but xehanort is the ones who kills him. Terra ventus and aqua arrive at the keyblade graveyard. Braig is there as well but he is Xehanortified. So a battle begins.. Vanitas and xehanort both attack Terra ( without wantin to kill him) only to cause Terra gettin filled with rage. Braig then battles Aqua to buy some time while Vanitas attacks Ventus. Xehanort eventually takes over Terras body... Vanitas manages to get merged with ventus but gets stopped by aqua.. so the kingdom hearts obtaining plan falls apart. This however damages ventus heart.. which heart, in order to get saved finds shelter into Sora.

 

Then aqua battles terranort and since she believes that terra is still somewhere inside him , she prefers to get lost into darkness in order to save him. Then Ansem the wise finds him and makes him his apprentice. AX prolly lost his memories.. since his eyes werent yellow but brown ( Also yellow eyes dont mean = evil, they mean = controlled by xehanort ) After a while, when xehanort regained his memories. decided this : he would become BOTH heartless and nobody. Why? Because he wanted to maxmize the possibilities in obtaining KH ( SEE above about choices 2 and 3 ) Xehanorts heartless would try the choice 2 and Xemnas would try the choice 3.

 

Ansem Sod used the disney villains. He let the heartless go with their side as well so they would help him destroy the worlds.. How he created heartless? Well.. he probably was using corridors of darkness to travel from world to world.. filling people with rage and any other bad feelings so they would succumb to darkness and become heartless. HE destroyed radiant garden prolly using maleficent and made this world into hollow bastion. He let the disney villains gather the seven princesses.. he wasnt sure about kairi.. but he took her. Every world in kh1 was in the RoD except the worlds you visit in kh1. However ansem sod thought maleficent was pretty powerful but after sora defeating her: Possessed Riku: how ironic, she was just another puppet after all. proving that he was using her. But ansem sod in the end failed obtaining kingdom hearts.. why? Because he didnt managed to lead EVERY world into darkness managing in the imbalance of light and darkness. Thats why in the end kh shows its light to him and eliminated him. this is where kh 1 ends.

 

Meanwhile, Xemnas was gathering 13 members for his plan. He was pleased to find a keybade master: soras nobody. Org XII however was messed up. A while ago, when AX released all the hearts from ienzo aeleus blah blah blah... i believe before trying doing this.. he tried to xehanortify them. This however only worked to Isa AND Braig, noone else. This had a result though, the other members who didnt get xehanortified, they began to suffer from chronic villainy and they barely wanted kingdom hearts. Marluxia for example was obsessed with the keyblade.. why? cause his somebody obviously was as well. He was also villainous though for the reason i just said.

 

Xemnas was almost sure about some members that were traitors but used it to his advantage. He sent them to C.O hoping that sora would kill them and that the traitors would use namine to fck up soras memories without knowing that they were actually helping xemnas. He also sent Axel to eliminate any remaining traitors. Also he eliminated zexion cause saix asked him to. BUT ok heres a plothole question. Why would saix.. who was xehanortified, want to overthrow org XII along with axel? Well its pretty much because saix still had memories from his childhood and friendship with lea. Of course though.. as time passed the plan stopped and axel didnt know why. Xion existed as well at that time. Xemnas managed to create her by gathering data and memories from sora when he fought him at hollow bastion (remember how he passed through him in slow motion? )

 

But xemnas didnt want 2 keyblade masters ( remember the 13 darknesses i said? ). He wanted 1 strong keyblade weilder. Besides if xion would absorb roxas or the opposite, sora would never wake up. Eventually axel managed to bring xion back. ( he brought her back because he was suffering from villainy issues like i said.. but was also good due to his good memories of friendship) Thats why saix said: noone can read this mans intentions or movements After roxas battling xion.. he wins but xion decides to sora with roxas saying that he wants ice cream ( of course this line had a deeper meaning which is: Roxas in the beginning of days: so, true friends is like having ice cream together?). Riku finds roxas he loses on battle and then takes ansem sod form. He could take sods form cause ansem sod was inside his heart before troubling him and thats why he appeared in castle oblivion. this stupid castle aqua created to hide ventus is awful it shows illusions of your friends and problems lol.

 

Before i continue ill say smthing about the heartless on how they appear on worlds: in kh1 the worlds were not in their original states, meaning heartless would appear anytime anywhere. in kh 358/2 days because of sora, the worlds were MAKING THEIR WAY to back where they used to be. But still heartless could appear out of noowhere but it was less often. in kh2 though in order for the organization to make heartless appear used again disney villain anger and rage. So by sora eliminating the disney villains ( or any villains ) in a world.. heartless wouldnt appear. Example: the org goes to a world were a villain exists and they can release heartless, the disney villain many also side with the heartless as well ( they also used pete and maleficent), once sora would eliminate the villain and the remaining heartless the world would be fine til the org would fine another chance to fck up the world. However they couldnt release as many heartless wanted. Remember kh 1 when jafar summons many heartless? Maleficent warned him not to step too close to darkness or heartless would consume him.

 

Now.. as i mentioned the chronic villainy of the org members, this was the reason why demyx and xaldin attacked sora, they didnt even care about kingdom hearts. Small proof that members of org XII had the influence of xehanort even if they werent xehanortified? well.. xaldin tried to make beast succumb to the darkness right? no reason.. since 1 heartless would barely help form kh lol. well.. who else did smthin similar? yep xehanort did.. to terra. Also remember when braig was mad and the old man when he lost his eye from terra? xehanort then suddenly released his keyblade warning him... who did this... uhu yep! the traitor marluxia to vexen.. even as traitor he had that influence...

 

i wont say much about kh 3d ( i said too much already lol ) only that riku was within soras heart and his keyholes were probably.. THOSE who hurt. remember in re:coded? data roxas said to data sora that this is hurt of the people connected to him ( namine, xion, roxas, terra,aqua,ventus,axel ) see? 7 ppl 7 keyholes if you play kh 3d ( i didnt though ) youll notice that once riku seals a keyhole.. lea wakes up. but data roxas also said that if you cant control this hurt.. youll fall into darkness. And thats why sora fell into darkness..

Vanitas manages to get merged with ventus but gets stopped by aqua.. so the kingdom hearts obtaining plan falls apart. This however damages ventus heart.. which heart, in order to get saved finds shelter into Sora.

 

Then aqua battles terranort and since she believes that terra is still somewhere inside him , she prefers to get lost into darkness in order to save him. Then Ansem the wise finds him and makes him his apprentice. AX prolly lost his memories.. since his eyes werent yellow but brown ( Also yellow eyes dont mean = evil, they mean = controlled by xehanort ) After a while, when xehanort regained his memories. decided this : he would become BOTH heartless and nobody. Why? Because he wanted to maxmize the possibilities in obtaining KH ( SEE above about choices 2 and 3 ) Xehanorts heartless would try the choice 2 and Xemnas would try the choice 3.

 

Ansem Sod used the disney villains. He let the heartless go with their side as well so they would help him destroy the worlds.. How he created heartless? Well.. he probably was using corridors of darkness to travel from world to world.. filling people with rage and any other bad feelings so they would succumb to darkness and become heartless. HE destroyed radiant garden prolly using maleficent and made this world into hollow bastion. He let the disney villains gather the seven princesses.. he wasnt sure about kairi.. but he took her. Every world in kh1 was in the RoD except the worlds you visit in kh1. However ansem sod thought maleficent was pretty powerful but after sora defeating her: Possessed Riku: how ironic, she was just another puppet after all. proving that he was using her. But ansem sod in the end failed obtaining kingdom hearts.. why? Because he didnt managed to lead EVERY world into darkness managing in the imbalance of light and darkness. Thats why in the end kh shows its light to him and eliminated him. this is where kh 1 ends.

 

Meanwhile, Xemnas was gathering 13 members for his plan. He was pleased to find a keybade master: soras nobody. Org XII however was messed up. A while ago, when AX released all the hearts from ienzo aeleus blah blah blah... i believe before trying doing this.. he tried to xehanortify them. This however only worked to Isa AND Braig, noone else. This had a result though, the other members who didnt get xehanortified, they began to suffer from chronic villainy and they barely wanted kingdom hearts. Marluxia for example was obsessed with the keyblade.. why? cause his somebody obviously was as well. He was also villainous though for the reason i just said.

 

Xemnas was almost sure about some members that were traitors but used it to his advantage. He sent them to C.O hoping that sora would kill them and that the traitors would use namine to fck up soras memories without knowing that they were actually helping xemnas. He also sent Axel to eliminate any remaining traitors. Also he eliminated zexion cause saix asked him to. BUT ok heres a plothole question. Why would saix.. who was xehanortified, want to overthrow org XII along with axel? Well its pretty much because saix still had memories from his childhood and friendship with lea. Of course though.. as time passed the plan stopped and axel didnt know why. Xion existed as well at that time. Xemnas managed to create her by gathering data and memories from sora when he fought him at hollow bastion (remember how he passed through him in slow motion? )

 

But xemnas didnt want 2 keyblade masters ( remember the 13 darknesses i said? ). He wanted 1 strong keyblade weilder. Besides if xion would absorb roxas or the opposite, sora would never wake up. Eventually axel managed to bring xion back. ( he brought her back because he was suffering from villainy issues like i said.. but was also good due to his good memories of friendship) Thats why saix said: noone can read this mans intentions or movements After roxas battling xion.. he wins but xion decides to sora with roxas saying that he wants ice cream ( of course this line had a deeper meaning which is: Roxas in the beginning of days: so, true friends is like having ice cream together?). Riku finds roxas he loses on battle and then takes ansem sod form. He could take sods form cause ansem sod was inside his heart before troubling him and thats why he appeared in castle oblivion. this stupid castle aqua created to hide ventus is awful it shows illusions of your friends and problems lol.

 

Before i continue ill say smthing about the heartless on how they appear on worlds: in kh1 the worlds were not in their original states, meaning heartless would appear anytime anywhere. in kh 358/2 days because of sora, the worlds were MAKING THEIR WAY to back where they used to be. But still heartless could appear out of noowhere but it was less often. in kh2 though in order for the organization to make heartless appear used again disney villain anger and rage. So by sora eliminating the disney villains ( or any villains ) in a world.. heartless wouldnt appear. Example: the org goes to a world were a villain exists and they can release heartless, the disney villain many also side with the heartless as well ( they also used pete and maleficent), once sora would eliminate the villain and the remaining heartless the world would be fine til the org would fine another chance to fck up the world. However they couldnt release as many heartless wanted. Remember kh 1 when jafar summons many heartless? Maleficent warned him not to step too close to darkness or heartless would consume him.

 

Now.. as i mentioned the chronic villainy of the org members, this was the reason why demyx and xaldin attacked sora, they didnt even care about kingdom hearts. Small proof that members of org XII had the influence of xehanort even if they werent xehanortified? well.. xaldin tried to make beast succumb to the darkness right? no reason.. since 1 heartless would barely help form kh lol. well.. who else did smthin similar? yep xehanort did.. to terra. Also remember when braig was mad and the old man when he lost his eye from terra? xehanort then suddenly released his keyblade warning him... who did this... uhu yep! the traitor marluxia to vexen.. even as traitor he had that influence...

 

i wont say much about kh 3d ( i said too much already lol ) only that riku was within soras heart and his keyholes were probably.. THOSE who hurt. remember in re:coded? data roxas said to data sora that this is hurt of the people connected to him ( namine, xion, roxas, terra,aqua,ventus,axel ) see? 7 ppl 7 keyholes if you play kh 3d ( i didnt though ) youll notice that once riku seals a keyhole.. lea wakes up. but data roxas also said that if you cant control this hurt.. youll fall into darkness. And thats why sora fell into darkness..
