Tyson had successfully arrived at the lake with a relieved facial expression. Tyson: Good, I didn't run into anyone or problems on the way. Before I make contact, I'll take a nap seeing how it's still nighttime. Tyson walks up to a tree, takes off his backpack next to his right side, and lays down on it, instantly falling asleep.

Lock pushed came up behind the humans, pushing open a massive pair of double doors with ease. Inside was a large audience chamber, with stained glass windows and bookshelves lining the walls, the books coating the ceiling as well. In front of a large roaring fireplace sat a woman in a long white fur coat. Her red irises were visible from across the room, the feature clashing with her pale skin and snowy hair. Lock stepped through Carte and Julian, kneeling down halfway across the chamber. "Lady Olivier. These men have requested an audience with you."

"Welcome back, Lock." Olivier's voice could be heard clearly in the chamber, no echo reverberating among the books. "They are here at the request of Caius, are they not?" Lock pursed his lips. "I trust you to keep an eye on Caius, yet you bring me a shadowmancer and a mage in his name." She looked past Julian, focusing on Carte. "You humans and your obsession with secrets. Very well, assassin." Her attention was now on Julian. "What has Caius sent you for?"

"You can be relieved I'm not here on the behalf of my normal job."

Julian said in a polite voice.

"I don't know anything about the relationship between you and my client, my Lady, but it seems like he has requested me to investigate on you, referring to your plans with Count Marus. Of course only of business like nature. He wishes to know how you plan your relationship should develop. If I may request staying one night... You have already figured out I'm a Shadowmancer, but still I'm a human and sleep is essential to me it also would be best if we could discuss about business when I'm not tired and can concentrate. I hope that won't make you feel uneasy... My Lady."

Julians talent to lie wasn't given to him by birth, he had to train it in the hidden academy several times, but since then it was impossible to tell if he was telling the truth or not. He was able to make up stories in less then a second, even for a Vampire it would be hard. But he wasn't satisfied with his lie

-Damn, now I wish I had more information about them-

"Very well." Olivier steepled her fingers across her chest. She focused on the shadowmancer, dark power resonating from him in waves. "Anna will show you to your rooms. Please, follow her. I will be here should you... require my presence." A woman with long, flowing golden hair approached Julian and the concealed Carte, her pure white robes flowing with her every motion. She was covered with golden tattoos, like the man who had opened the front door for them.

"Please, this way, sirs. The sun will be rising shortly."

"Thank you my Lady."

Julian followed the woman not intending to talk to her.

-This job takes longer than I thought.-

He glared over to Carte from the corner of his eye.

-At last he could be useful....-

The golden woman led the two to a large guest room. Well, it was really a few rooms that had been combined, but were easily seperated should the need arise. The woman, Anna, shone brightly as the first rays of daylight broke through the darkness, her tattoos glittering with an otherworldly brilliance. "You may rest here. When you are ready to see Lady Olivier, she will be waiting for you in the audience chamber." She smiled as she bowed. "If you need anything, please let me know."

"Thank you..." Julian intended to bow too, but it just ended in bending his knees for a bit.

As the door was closed he put his suitcase on the bed and opened it.

He searched in the many layers and hidden spaces. While he was doing that he started to talk with Carte without even looking at him.

"The countdown has begun, there isn't much time I want this job to be done as fast as possible."

He finally found what he was searching for, a small chain necklace with the badge of the hidden academy on it.

"Here... take this and use your invisibility spell... this neckless will make you one with the surroundings, you will have no scent no aura no footsteps no nothing when you are wearing it... but don't use it too long or it'll make a real ghost out of you..."

He gave the necklace to Carte.

"I want you to search the mansion for any secret passageways or other hidden rooms, but your mayor task will be to find out if this Vampire Lady has any kind of double... don't screw it up, I'm counting on you."

Then he turned back to the suitcase.

"I'll be here preparing everything for the assassination..."

Carte was jumping on the bed until Julian began talking to him. "Ooo, sounds fun," he said, taking the necklace. He looked unsure. "Are you serious when you say that it will make a real ghost out of me?" he asked.

"Everything comes with a price... The necklace drains on your existance, but as long as you don't wear it a full hour it should be fine."

The assassin started to search in his suitcase again.

"Now get going, there's still work do be done."

"This is taking too long!" One of the women complained. Caius dismissed her complaints with a sneer.

"Well if you people were compentent, I wouldn't have needed to hire outside work." That seemed to shut them up. "You see, things like this take time. You can't just barge in, guns blazing. You need a plan." Caius twiddled his cigarette between his fingers. "If you want a job done well, hire a professional. But if you want a job done right," he snapped the cigarette in half between his thumb and index finger with a malicious grin. "You hire a fool."

Carte was walking down the hallway. It had been a whole ten minutes, and he hadn't found a single passageway. "Libra," he cast again, and nothing again. He continued to walk down. 'What am I looking for anymore?' he thought. He banged the wall next to him in frustration, and a hidden door slid open. 'Well that was convenient,' he thought. He walked through the hidden passage. Five more minutes later, he found that it went up. He actually managed to pry loose a block and found that he was in the roof of the audience chamber. 'Too convenient,' he thought, 'But still a good place for an assassination if he shoots through this hole.' He put the block back in it's spot and left the passage. A half hour later, he hadn't found anything else. He went back to Juian. He took the necklace of and released his invsisibility spell and said, "I found something!"

Julian was standing in his room with his rifle.

He put it on his shoulder and looked down on Carte.

"Good, tell me everything, we are wasting daylight...."

"Well, if you go about 10 minutes left out the door and bang the wall in a certain place, a secret passage will open," he began, "There's a staircase leading up. Once you get to the top, you'll find a room and if you pull off the center tile, it will be a hole that you can fire through. Bye the way, it's right above the audience chamber."

"Perfect... if we can pull this of you will sure get a big part of the reward..."

Shadowfallen turned back to his suitcase.

"I think I underestimated you... I think you make a good partner, for a mage. Now would be a good time to tell you something about the hidden academy. It is a magic academy at first sight, but most people that graduate there become thieves, pickpockets, tricksters, spies or assassins like me. But we are in another league then the common scum. We have trained our entire lives and dedicated ourselves to trickery. There are two kinds of magic that you can learn there, that's also why there are two different houses with different subjects. First there's the house of Ghostwalkers. Mostly pickpockets and spies, their dormitory is also called "the white hall" and they are also dressed in white. You have already learned about the magic they use when you put on the necklace. They use devices to fool people or become invisible that makes them excellent at being sneaky, on the other hand it drain's their very existence. The other house is the house of dark casters... black is our color and trademark. Other than mere Shadowmancers we are able to control shadows way beyond the reach of them, that also includes the darkness inside of us. Of course this form of magic comes with a price too, but I am not ready to tell you my weakness yet." Julian knew that he was wasting time, but Carte had to know about all of this to understand what Shadowfallen was planning. "The plan is the following." Julian said. "You will use one of my high class necklaces and also a ring. With the help of an illusion it'll make you look like me, while the ring will cast a replica of you. The hard part is that it won't be able to talk, and you have to make them believe that you are me. While you meet with the lady I'll make my way through the secret passage. I will shoot of her hand, when it's falling down don't hesitate to cast a fire based spell on her, vampires burn faster than dry wood. after she's dead I'll break through the ceiling, grab the arm and we'll get the hell out of here... understood?" The assassin turned around again, in one hand he held the rifle, in the other the necklace and the ring.

Kojuro slashed, slicing a vampires head off, but only to be surrounded by more. "Damn, it's as if it'll never end..." He looked at his surroundings, Vampires where slowly approaching him, when he decided. "Looks like I have no Choice..." With a slow motion, he drew his second sword, lightning zapped and shocked near by Vampires, roasting them slightly. "Raijin!!" with a roar, he sets his primary sword down into the dirt, and with a lightning fast motion, the Vampires roast and disintegrate. He slowly sheathed his sword back into the sheath, picked up his primary weapon, then sheathed it. "Filthy Vamps.." He wore his cloak again, then slowly walked off into the distance.
