Skai 3,961 Posted December 17, 2013 (edited) Your total amount of likes is available on your profile. Remember when you liked posts. Lol. You get like 20 per 24 hours. I never reach the quota though. I just meant ones we give. I did some analyzing and apparently each like refreshes individually. So if you gave one at 11:50 PM and another at 11:54 PM, one will refresh 11:50 PM the next day and the other on 11:54 PM, but who remembers the time when they actually give all 20 likes? Yes, it's better that way. Meaning you'll have 20 likes for every 24 hours.

Just because you don't reach quota doesn't mean that others don't as well. And since they do refresh individually, it's that much harder to keep track of all twenty. Now you may argue that 20 isn't a whole lot, but tbh we have better things to remember than when exactly we liked something. Having a like counter (title tentative) would just make things a little bit easier. 1 SoraBlade reacted to this

You can always comment on something and express WHY you like something. Which I think the person would appreciate more. 3 DChiuch, Xiro and Sora96 reacted to this

Captain Arrowguns 466 Posted December 18, 2013 Can there be sub-topics in the Creative Media topic (assuming that's what it's called, I'm not really sure) for writing and drawing respectively. This would make it much easier for anyone looking for fan drawings or writing without using up as much time. Not only that, but this way one can follow one of the previously mentioned sub-topics without their notification box being filled with notifications that threads they have no interest in have been created. We have topic prefixes for that.
Philip Ellwell 5,487 Posted December 28, 2013 I think for more personal messages on your page, you should be able to mark them so no one else can see them. Yes, I KNOW we have the messenger: I mean comments on your ABOUT ME page. Like a tab to click to mark it private.

Sorry, I know you said not the messenger, but I'm just curious why people would need private profile comments when they can send a PM or chat message. 3 Sora96, Hazimie and SoraBlade reacted to this

In case it was private, or something you didn't want anyone else but you to read, after it had been posted on your page already. Just an idea.
DChiuch 5,773 Posted December 29, 2013 I see. I can kinda see the value in it, I mean it's kind of the same as Facebook offering complete control over who can see what bits of content. So I would support this feature if it was available. However, creating a forum extension like this is beyond my level. If you want to take this further, you can either request for it to be included in the next version of IP.Board / IPS Social Suite, or you can request for someone to develop an extension which allows this. 2 Sora96 and Hazimie reacted to this

Shera Wizard 2,736 Posted December 30, 2013 For God's sake Personally, I think the chat is shitty. So I guess I'd like for you to look into that, I mean it looks good and all, and of course you put quite some work into it, but the efficiency pretty much sucks for every tab I open I see messages which arent in another. My apologies if this was already brought up. 2 Lalalablah and Shana09 reacted to this

Sora96 17,256 Posted December 30, 2013 Umm? I heard quite a few members talk about it personally so just brought it up. Sorry about that. Well what did they say they didn't like about it? It's like FINAL FANTASY XIII, people say they don't like it but they can't give a good reason why.

It's like FINAL FANTASY XIII, people say they don't like it but they can't give a good reason why. Because of the message lag. I start a convo in the homepage and reply to my friend. I open a new tab for a thread and try to to reply, I dont see my reply at all. But their previous message. While back in the home tab, the person has already replied and I dont see MY reply. It gets a bit annoying because the full messages arent sent and are cut half way sometimes. Edit: I dont really hate Final Fantasy XIII. I hate the whole FF franchise and there are my reasons behind that too. Edited December 30, 2013 by Shera Wizard

Skai 3,961 Posted January 3, 2014 Hm. Is there a way to apply the system you have for posts on thread to be on the statuses as well? I mean the way that it prohibits you from double posting/multi-posting. I think it'd be great if that was applied. May stop spamming and such.

I want liking statuses to be a thing too even if it will be a bit weird. Facebook does it, we have Facebook chat systems, lets get Facebook like buttons for our statuses. But double posting/multi-posting enforced on statuses is going to be too much, a lot of people have to double post and statuses and status comments have a limit on how much you can say in each post. So people are going to double post if they are typing walls of text and it gets cut off. Edited January 3, 2014 by Shana09 1 Skai reacted to this
