KH3D So, suppose that....

Recommended Posts

Hello KH fans, there is something I would like to know. So, suppose that KH3D gets DLC that continues that story of KH3D that you would have to buy on the 3DS eShop. How would you feel if that happened? Would you like it and say that it's a good idea to since it would give you a reason to play KH3D longer? Or would you say that it's a bad idea and that they should just put all the stuff in the game without any DLC intended? Just curious to know your reactions and opinions if KH3D DID have DLC.

Just as long they aren't locking the content into the game itself and then forcing u to buy the DCL content that's all ready there. I can't remember what company keeps doing this but I know about b/c my cousin likes to yell about it a lot. :D So, if it actually extra stuff, maybe...it depends if i have the money for it xD

We would know about any stuff locked on the cartridge by now, so that's not the case.

But here's the thing; DLC needs to be planned for, KH3D does not seem to be prepared for DLC, so I can't see it happening, especially considering it's been about six months since it came out in Japan...

Honestly, Kingdom Hearts has never been the type of series to fit the DLC quota. There is usually already enough going on to not require it. I mean, if the DLC was like a new secret boss, or some super awesome Dream Eaters, I'd be all for it, but it's highly doubtful.

but it'd be a good way to add the extra stuff they usually do for Final Mixes .. so I'd be all for it, even if you had to pay a little.

Oh, you know a dlc that would turn the game into the final mix version, with translated subtitles for the Japanese cutscenes would be awesome, I'd buy it

I'd love it if it got DLC, but not anything that would actually continue the storyline, that'd be completely unfair. I'd just like some extra missions and bosses, new Keyblades, Dream Eaters, etc,

That's what I mean, the FMs usually only add secret bosses (with the exception of BbS's secret episode). I'd be cool with that. But extra story details, nah.

well they usually get a few new scenes and maybe a secret area like bbs .. but yea, it's mostly more hidden features, enemies and several harder bosses like you said.

They're probably not gonna use DLC, but it would be nice if they took advantage of easily adding new content and let other people outside of Japan play stuff like the Final Mixes.

Pretty sure every Final Mix has added a bunch of new cutscenes, including a new secret ending for each game... not to mention keyblades, and improved graphics.

There are a lot of changes.

But honestly, the cutscenes hardly added anything to the story. In KH, it was just the cloud and sephiroth scene, and the one before the xemnas fight. in two, the organization scenes added practically nothing to the story. I don't consider those things impactful. The only worth-it one was the Riku/Roxas fight (which appears later in Days anyway).

What about showing Aqua's armour? That's important. There's a scene in KH2 FM where Sora seems to remember Namine as well.

And the secret endings are pretty important...

Sure some things are useful, but for the most part, there is little impact. And the secret endings of the Final Mixes only served to preview the next game.

tutti frutti. I don't really see DLC for KH3D. To me, it seems that more and more companies are going overboard with DLC. One example that I find is Capcom with Asura's Wrath. You get like roughly 85%, but in turn have to pay extra for the remaining 15% of the game. For KH in general, I don't really think that it's a good idea to do.

But most of these "important scenes", like Aqua's armor, Lingering Sentiment, etc. only becomes understandable after the next game comes out, and by that time the new game outright states what happened or what led to these events. It's annoying to not have the FM stuff in the NA version but it seems that we'll just have to hope for an international release,
