Jason's eyebrows rose under his hood. He was actually surprised that he was seeing this. Santa, the man himself, sitting right in front of him, checking that traditional naughty or nice list. Well what do you know... When Jason was a kid, he believed in Santa, but his brother, John, didn't. It wasn't long after Christmas, when Jason was 8, that his brother vanished off of the face of the world. Jason leaned in slightly closer to Texsera. "You called it... so, what are you waiting for?" Texsera looked at Jason. "For a birthday present, why not tell him what you want for a Christmas present?"

Texsera nods. She walked up towards Santa Clause. "Santa?"Texsera asks. Santa looked up from his list. "Why,hello there. Came to see if you're on the nice's list?"Santa asks. Texsera smiled and noded. Santa looked down at the list and searched through. "Texsera,correct? You're on my nice's list. You haven't let Demyx be a bad example for you I see. He's getting coal this year again if he doesn't get better."Santa says. Texsera nods. "That's right."Texsera says. "Well,what do you need,Texsera?"Santa asks. Texsera slightly scratched her cheek. "Well,I wish to tell you what I want for chirstmas this year."Texsera says. "Very well. What do you want for christmas this year?"Santa asks. Texsera then started to think for a while. She snapped her fingers and walked up. She whispered into his ear. Santa stared and noded. "That can be arranged. Very well. So it shall be."Santa says. "Oh,thank you Santa!"Texsera says really happy. Santa noded and then looked at the doorway. "What about you,young man?"Santa asks,reffering to Jason.

Jason slightly smiled as Texsera spoke to Santa. He was glad the girl was having a good day. She deserved one. Jason then looked at Santa, stepping forward slightly. He couldn't help but feel slightly nervous. Fighting endless armies of monsters trying to destroy the home of my friends and I have no fear, but talking to Santa is what scares me... "Jason... Jason Halfblood." Jason had always done his best to fight for what was right. However, it wasn't a secret to him that after his brother was possessed by Darkness, he did horrible, horrible things. Jason didn't know if his actions could atone for his brother's crimes.

Santa looked through his list. "Half-blood,Half-blood..."Santa says. His eyes narrowed a bit as he scanned the list. Eventually he smiled and looked up. "You're on the nice's list."Santa says. Texsera smiled. Santa turned to the two. "Now,Texsera,Ms.Clause is in the Kitchen making cookies for the elves. Maybe you'd like to help."Santa Clause says. Texsera's eyes seemed to widen and sparkle as she noded her head. "Yes,I would love to!"Texsera says. "Then go on,she loves company."Santa Clause says. Texsera noded and hurried out and down the hall towards the Kitchen. Following the scent of cookies fresh from the oven. Santa Clause then turned to Jason. "Your brother was a brave man,and your sins are forgivable ones,considering you are doing actions that are considered noble."Santa says. After all,Santa knows,not as muchh as God,but he knows. Santa then looked up at him. "Now,what do you want for Chirstmas this year,now that you see I am real."Santa asks.

Jason crossed his arms, looking at the floor. "...I don't know. 12 years of my life have been dedicated to finding my brother, and now another year has been devoted to finding out what purpose my life has now. I guess the easy route would be to ask to know what that purpose is... but I'm not really one to take the easy route. I want to find that for myself. I don't know..." Jason wasn't sure what to ask for. There wasn't anything in particular that he really wanted. Then he looked into the kitchen, and had an idea. "I'm guessing you know what I've been up to lately. With her. I want to give her a better life, but I don't know if I can do that. I'm scared of what will happen if I can't keep her safe. If I can't keep the people after her from wiping her memory of me... what do I do?" Jason looked at Santa. "That's what I want. I want to know if there's any way that this can all have a happy ending."

Santa Clause thought for a while. "That is a hard one."Santa Clause says. He started to roll up his list. "The Organization is a dangerous group. In total they have six Keyblade wielders under their control. They are so close,they won't let anything get in their way. Certainely they won't hesitate in erasing her memory of this tornument..."Santa Clause says. He finished rolling up the list and setted it aside. "The memories may fade from one's recent mind. But the memories themselves never go away,they simply go to sleep,re-appearing when needed the most at times."Santa Clause says. He looked up at Jason. "I suggest you do your best,and trust in your instincts. But at the same time. Make sure that her memories of you are memorable. That way even though if the memories of this contest are erased. A shred of all of those will always be inside of her. The lessons you have taught her and the events themselves as well. Even if she ends up with the Organization,when the time comes to face against them,she will surely remember the hooded boy who warned her about their actions."Santa Clause says as he rocked on his chair.

Jason looked at the ground. "...thank you. It helps to know that this will still help her in the long run...." ...even if she loses her memories of me... Jason nodded. He still wanted to be able to save her from the Organization and give her a better life, but now he was a bit less idealistic. He now considered his odds at being able to do this at 'Quite unlikely.' Sure, he had been able to take on an Organization before, but he also had a lot of help. Alone, Jason knew he was powerful, but against a full, united Organization, he would fail, likely be killed. For now, he just had to savour his time with her. It was the best thing that he could do for both of them. Jason looked at Santa. "That's all I wanted. Thank you."

Santa Clause noded. Just then,Ms.Clause came in along with Texsera. Ms.Clause was holding a tray of hot cookies whil Texsera was eating a small bag of them. "Who wants cookies?"Ms.Clause asks. "They're really good!"Texsera says. Santa Clause smiled. "Save it for the elves,I need to loose some weight."Santa says patting his stomach. "If you ever do."Ms.Clause says. Texsera smiled and thought for a while. "Jason. We should head back. We wouldn't want to miss any important things in the tornument. We need to make sure we don't miss matches or get disqualified."Texsera says. She turned and waved and then bowed. "Thank you so much Mr. and Ms. Clause."Texsera says. Santa Clause noded. "Come again any time."Santa Clause says. Texsera smiled and turned Jason. "Lets go. We can get a cup of hot chocolate on the way."Texsera says,

Jason nodded. Just as they were about to leave, he stopped. He suddenly had one last idea. "Actually, let's not go back just yet. There's somewhere I want to show you. I think you'll like it. After that, we can head back." Jason extended his hand. "Darkness." A dark corridor opened up in front of the two of them. Jason turned back around to Texsera. "It's your call. After we spend a few minutes here, we can head back to the tournament and get ourselves ready for whatever is next to come. So... do you want to join me?" Jason offered his hand.

Texsera stared. She thought for a few moments,surely they didn't wanted to get in trouble with the tornument,and getting in trouble with the tornument would mean that she would be the one to explain to Xemnas what happened...But then she thought of what has been happening lately around the tornument,that the tornument has been slow lately,so maybe they wouldn't be late for anything after all. Maybe they haven't even started. Plus,it was her birthday,so she should relax and take it easy. Plus,she wanted to see where Jason wanted to take her. Texsera smiled and noded. "Sure."Texsera says. She took his hand. "Lead the way."Texsera says. Santa Clause and Ms.Clause seemed to smile.

The two of them, hand in hand, walked through the dark corridor. When they emerged, they were in a different world. One covered in beach and with a sunset orange sky, surrounded by ocean. "I'm sure you've been here before. Destiny Islands." Jason slightly walked forward. "But this one is different. It's my Destiny Islands. Maybe a thousand years in your past. Likely the one you know has towns, huts, people. Here, now, there were only a couple huts... and the ocean." Jason turned. Compared to the Destiny Islands in 'modern' times, it was composed almost entirely of beach, no one in sight. Guiding Texsera with his hand, he walked her over to the edge of the beach, and sat down. He looked forward, at the sun setting into the ocean. He then looked at Texsera. "Sit. It's even better than Twilight Town."

Texsera stared. The sunset was simply stunning. Definately better than Twilight Town's. "It's...beautiful."Texsera says. She satted down next to Jason and looked upfront. The saltyness of the soft breeze gave comfort. Texsera smiled. "The Destiny Island's I know is usually very lively,but this is so calm...It's wonderful."Texsera says. She rested her arms on her knees and looked upfront. "This world is so peaceful. I wish all the worlds were like this,but then I guess there wouldn't be any balance if so."Texsera says. She looked over at Jason and smiled. "Thank you,Jason. For showing me this beautiful place in time. Also for making this birthday a most memorable one for me. I am surely to never ever forget this one."Texsera says with a soft smile.

Jason gave a small smile. ...I hope you don't forget. I sincerely do. "When I was a kid, this was my favourite spot. Every night, my brother would take me here, then let me sit and watch the sunset, then take me back when night fell. It's been years since I've done this, but... I never really forgot about it. I've always wanted to come back and do it again. At least one more time... and I figured what better time, than when I'm celebrating your birthday with you." Jason closed his eyes, and tilted his head back. He smiled, letting the cool wind hit him. Right now, he didn't have a care in the world.

 

The soft breeze coming off of the ocean blew his hood off.

Texsera looked upfront enjoying the sunset. She turned and blinked and looked up at Jason. She stared at him. She saw his brown hair,his scar on his face. Texsera stared at him. "(That scar.)"Texsera thinks. She wanted to ask about it,but she felt that it would be rude. She thought to herself and looked back at Jason. He seemed to be enjoying himself. Texsera smiled and looked upfront. "Hm..."Texsera says. She then extended her arm and stars started to float around her arm. She swung her arm and the stars flew up into the sky and then exploded into even more tiny stars. Falling softly into the ocean. Texsera smiled as it made a pretty touch. She then turn,getting distracted with Jason's scar again. She couldn't help it. She got her glove off and got closer to him. She carefully got her hand close to his face and softly passed her fingers on his scar. "Does,does it hurt?"

Jason felt Texsera's bare hand softly brushing his face. He didn't bother to stop her. "A bit... every now and then. It's fine now, but it acts up sometimes..." Jason could read the curiousity on her face, even if she was supressing the urge to ask. "A gift from Saren... it's never fully healed. Probably never will." He looked at the stars Texsera had created. Almost like his light show in Twilight Town. It made the view even more impressive than it was before. Jason turned back to Texsera again. Her hand was sitting on his face still, and they were still close together. He gave a small smile. "...happy birthday."

Texsera felt his scar gentlely,afraid that she might hurt him more if she did a mistake. She looked at Jason as he congratulated her on her birthday once more. Texsera smiled sweetly. She was so greatful,but she felt saying thank you wasn't enough to re-pay the wonderful day it has been today,and all that he has done so far. Texsera then threw her arms over him and hugged him,pretty much glomping him down as she threw herself on him while hugging real tight. She could feel her lip quiver a bit as some tears of happyness were escaping her eyes. "You have showed me so many things and places,and you have taught me so much,I am forever grateful to you Jason Half-blood. I promise I'll make it up to you one day. I swear."Texsera says as she never let go of him and looked up smiling. She blinked a few times and once again got distracted by his scar as she passed her hand by it and stopped by holding his cheek a bit. "This scar. Even if it never goes away,you should never be ashamed of it. This scar is a tatoo of victory,power and history. Something that all of your enemies should fear of."Texsera says smiling.

Jason smiled as Texsera continued to hold his cheek, feeling the scar over the right side of his face, going over his eye and down his cheek. "You don't owe me anything, Texsera. I've traveled around the universe for 13 years now, and I can say that you are one of the most genuinely good people I have ever met.... and I'm glad I got the chance to meet someone like you." He looked at her, raising his hand up to her cheek to wipe away the tears coming from her eyes. Nobodies don't cry. "No matter what happens in this tournament or after it... I'll always be there for you. You have my word." Texsera pulled him in again, and Jason wrapped his own arms around her. Both of them were like this for a moment, holding each other, their bodies close.

 

Jason felt it again. He was sure of it. His chest was pressed against hers, and he felt a beat come from her. Her heart was growing.

Texsera smiled. She felt really happy. She didn't even realized she had to force herself to make the emotions appear like when she first joined the organization. They were coming out naturally. She felt really strange,and she haden't even noticed it before. "(This feeling...what is it...It seems so familiar...but I can't seem to remember.)"Texsera thinks. Then she felt it: A faint THUMP inside of her. She opened her eyes and looked at Jason and tilted her head a bit to the side a bit. She got her hand to his chest. Maybe it was his heartbeat. But it didn't felt the same. She then stared at her hand for a bit and got her hand to where her heart would be. She kept it there for a few minutes of pure silence before being able to finally feel it again. THUMP. A heartbeat. "(Impossible...could I be really...)"Texsera thinks. This time she got both her hands to where her heart would be. She waited for a few more minutes and felt the heartbeat again. Her breath somewhat became quickly as she smiled and a few more tears resurfeced her eyes. The tears quickly vanished into the air as tiny stars. "I...I felt it..."Texsera says. She looked up at Jason and waved her arms really excited. "I felt it,a heartbeat,inside,I felt it,I felt it! I felt it I felt it I felt it!"Texsera says extremely excited. By this point there was something strange though: Where was Neku?

Jason looked at her for a moment, placing his hand on her chest. Sure enough, he felt something inside of her. "...see? You're not as empty as you think. You're a person. You're special. You can feel happiness, peace, love, all of that. You're not a Nobody, Texsera. You're you." Jason then thought of one last gift before they returned to the tournament. When they got back, Neku and the Organization would be all over them, but Jason figured that they wouldn't want to do anything to affect Texsera's odds in the tournament, anything that would possibly alter her chances to compete. They would have to wait until after before they struck. Jason closed his hand. "Light..." His hand began to glow, and then the glow faded. When he opened his hand, there was a crystal in it, shaped like a heart. He put it in Texsera's uncovered hand, then put his hands around her's, closing her grip around it. He looked at her. "I'll always be there for you."

Texsera stared down at the heart shapped crystal and looked up at Jason with a smile. "Thank you."Texsera says. This tornument had turned out to be more than what she ever expected. She had made a new friend,and had learned so much. She was truely grateful. "Thank you so much. You're helping me find out what I never knew about myself..."Texsera says with a big smile. She held onto the crystal and looked up as the sun setted down and it became dark. The stars started to come out. Texsera stared up. Her element being stars,whenever there was a clear starry sky she would feel more powerful,and better yet,happier,no matter the mood or the situation. Texsera looked up and smiled. "It's beautiful."Texsera says. She then saw a shooting star go across the sky. She got her hands together and made a wish. She then looked up at Jason and smiled. "We should get going,don't want to be late for anything in the tornument."Texsera says.

Jason nodded. "Right. It's been quite the day." Jason stood up, then offered his hand to Texsera, pulling her up. His hands grabbed his hood and threw it over his head, once again concealing it in shadow. He extended his hand. "Darkness." A dark corridor appeared in front of the two, and Jason and Texsera walked through it as it vanished behind them. They reappeared back in the arena, and walked together until they reached the dorms. They both stopped outside of Texsera's dorm and turned to each other. "...today was a good day. Thanks for bringing me along for it... I appreciate it."

Texsera smiled real big and looked up at Jason. "I truely enjoyed today. It's probably the best birthday ever. Thank you so much for making it so special,Jason."Texsera says with a smile as she played with her fingers a bit. She looked up and smiled. "Well,I think we should get some rest. It has been a very long day."Texsera says. She smiled and looked up at Jason. She got on her tip-toes and kissed his nose. "Thank you so much Jason. This is a birthday I will never forget."Texsera says as she gave a bow. She looked up and walked in her dorm. She smiled and waved at him. "Good night and sweet dreams."Texsera says. She smiled and carefully closed the door. She walked to her bed and layed down on it. She looked up and smiled. "(Today was the best day ever. It was definately the best birthday ever,and to top it off.)"Texsera thinks. She got her hand to where her heart would be. "I'm starting to feel my heart."Texsera says as she squeeled and rolled around her bed.

Jason watched as she walked back into her own dorm and closed the door behind her. He had a smile on his face. He slowly lifted his hand and his fingers grazed over where she kissed him on his nose. He then looked back at the dorm.

 

"This is a birthday I will never forget."

 

"...I'll hold you to that, Texsera..." He turned and began to walk away. Eventually he reached his own dorm, going inside and closing the door behind him. He stepped into the washroom in there again and looked in the mirror. He slowly peeled off the bandage Texsera gave him after Neku attacked him and saw the slash mark was gone. He also noticed his cheeks were slightly red. Slightly laughing at himself, he went back out to his dorm, took his place against the wall, and closed his eyes.

 

(Guys, I think we should start setting up the matches for ourselves. Nadryx clearly isn't paying any attention to this RP, so we can't really count on him anymore.)

A voice rang out loud and clear from the loudspeaker. "The next match will consist of Haruhi and Neena. Will the contestants please go down into the arena."

'Me now? Fine.' Neena thought as she glared at Ace. She then made her way back into the arena, and waited for this Haruhi girl.
