"O-okay." she said, imagining what he told her. Suddenly, large black wings were on her back and she was suddenly in the air. Startled, she let out a small cry.

The scarf maintained form, the wings keeping her from falling, "See? Just use your imagination~"

Haruhi, a little terrified of being up in the air, put herself back on the ground.

"I-I see." she said to Ragna.

Jason emerged through the portal, entering Twilight Town with Texsera. He looked around. Looks like even in Texsera's time, in the future, this place looks exactly the same. It's strange to think that here, in this world, Quentin and Azura would have been dead for centuries... Jason walked up beside Texsera, looking with her through the marketplace. His eyes eventually fell upon an ice cream shop. His Twilight Town, in the past, didn't have this. Sea-Salt ice cream must be a fairly new invention. He stood beside the girl and put his hand on her shoulder. "I can grab us a couple of those, while you find us a spot. Where do you want to eat these...?"

"Go ahead and keep trying your new stuff out. I'll be here.~" His voiced echoed through the air.

Haruhi was a little afraid she'd do something wrong. "I don't want to use it wrong...." she thought to herself.

"Ragna? Why can't I see you?" she said to him.

Texsera looked around the area. She then spotted the Twilight Town Clocktower in the distance a bit. Texsera pointed at it. "There. The clocktower. Axel mentioned it had a beautiful view from up there. When you get the ice-creams,meet me up there. I'll get going and save our seats."Texsera says as she waved at Jason and ran off to the Twilight Town Clocktower. It started to ring as it announced the early hour of the morning. Texsera walked up the stairs and eventually reached to the top. Texsera turned around the corner and stared out. "Wow."Texsera says. This place was pretty neat,it had a very wonderful view. "No wonder they like this place so much."Texsera says. She walked down and satted down on the edge as she waved her feet. "This is really nice."Texsera says as she smiled and closed her eyes a bit,enjoying the warmth of the rising sun,

Jason walked away from the ice cream stand, three ice creams in his hands: one for him, and two for the birthday girl. She had said she wanted to eat on the clocktower. As he approached it from the ground, he looked up at the building. A memory came back to him.

Somewhere in Twilight Town, on top of a larger building, was a young man sitting on the ledge of the rooftop. His name was Jason Halfblood, brother of John. He was a spitting image of his brother, save for slightly darker hair and deeper blue eyes. His face was covered by the hood of his black sweater. All Jason could think about was a letter he recieved some time after his brother vanished from Destiny Islands 12 years ago. Jason had never worked up the courage to openit, but having exhausted all of his leads, he had no choice. Jason looked at the letter at last.

 

Nothing special, just a heads up from his older brother, didn't mention where he was.... except, he mentioned two people in the letter. A "Master" named Quentin, and a girl named Azura, who he wrote that he had a crush on.

 

Quentin... Azura.... these two may know where he is...

Jason lightly shook his head, and created a dark corridor, reappearing on top of the clocktower. He walked over to where Texsera was sitting, and slowly sat down beside her. She had her eyes closed and was smiling. The doubts he had that the girl was growing a heart continued to fade with every moment he spent with her. He held two of the ice creams out to her. "Here you go."

Haruhi was a little afraid she'd do something wrong. "I don't want to use it wrong...." she thought to herself.

"Ragna? Why can't I see you?" she said to him.

 

"Don't worry about it, this power is yours now, and it wont corrupt you in anyway, less you decide to go mad and kill everyone." His voice echoed in the air, "I'm right here~" Ragnarok chuckled.

"Oh......okay." Haruhi said nervously. "How were you so good with it?" she asked Ragna, wondering how he used them so well.

Texsera opened her eyes and turned to Jason. He had gotten her two ice-creams. Her eyes seemed to sparkle for a few seconds. "Oh boy,two. Thanks Jason,you're the best."Texsera says. She took the ice-creams and took a bite out of one of them. It was suddenly salty,but after a few seconds the sweetness kicked in. Best feeling ever. "Man,these are way good. Never knew they'd be this good."Texsera says as she took another bite out of one and licked the other one slightly. "Soooo good. These are awesome."Texsera says as she nommed on the ice-cream. She licked her lips and looked up at sunrise. "This is truely a beautiful scenary,plus the ice-cream. This birthday is turning out awesome!"Texsera says. She turned to Jason and smiled. "Thanks Jason."Texsera says.

"I just learned over the years.. how to control the darkness from within my heart.. make it useful.. a part of me.. the only thing that helped me get through life when it was rough. This same darkness helped me through it all, since no one was there for me.." His voice sounded sad.

Haruhi felt bad that she had brought it up. "O-oh..." Haruhi simply said. Her stomache suddenly made a sound, signaling she was hungry, but she ignored it.

"You should get some food, alright..? I'll be with you the whole time.~" The scarf waved slightly, and Ragnarok's voice echoed in the wind.

Jason slightly smiled at Texsera under his hood, and he gave a quick nod. "It's my pleasure. It's good to just take a break from all the fighting every once and a while, and just enjoy the things around you for once." Like I would know. My entire life has been fighting... He looked ahead for a moment, then took a bite out of his ice cream. Much like the name suggested, it was really salty, but after a moment, it became sweet. Not bad... He looked at Texsera again. "You deserve to have a good birthday. You are a great person. Not a Nobody. A person. Remember that." Jason looked ahead again. "And as for the view... I thought of a gift for you. It isn't much, but I hope you'll like it." He raised his hand. "Light." A large orb of light appeared in the orange sky. Jason closed his hand slightly, and the orb shrunk down until it was barely visible. "...happy birthday, Texsera." He opened his hand, and the orb of light expanded quickly, then just as quickly, exploded. Particles of light completely filled the air, covering over all of Twilight Town. The particles then began to float in the wind softly, almost like snow. Close up, they looked like small, floating crystals. As they slowly floated down from the sky, Jason looked at Texsera, never taking his eyes off of her.

Texsera looked around amazed. The particles sparkled brightly as the sunlight passed through. "It's beautiful..."Texsera says. It was a wonderful sight. She had never seen something this pretty. She took a bite of her ice-cream and setted it down. "(It's so unique,I've never seen anything like it.)"Texsera says. She stared. No one had ever given her a present like this. Heck,her first birthday's present was being inside a whale's stomach. Texsera then felt strange. She felt her lip quiver a bit as she looked down and clenched her fist. She looked as if she was holding energy and was getting ready to let it burst. Instead she straighted up and stared cutely at the fragments as tears of happyness and gratefullness rolled down her cheek. "Thank you so much,Jason. No one has ever done something this nice to me ever."Texsera says as she then wiped her tears away with her coat's sleeve. Just then a few moments afterwards the two of them heard someone talk. "Texsera. What you doing here?" Texsera looked up and turned,sniffleling. Only to see a familiar red,spicky haired member of the organization. "Axel."Texsera says. Axel waved his hand. "Yo."Axel says. He then turned to Jason and his eyes narrowed a bit.

Jason nodded at Texsera. "It's the least I could do. Life hasn't been kind to you. You deserve far more than what you have... and I hope I can get you that." Jason then turned and saw a man with spikey, fire red hair standing behind them. With an Organization cloak. Jason looked away for a brief moment and smirked. He wasn't sure if Texsera saw it, but Jason knew it immediately: the Organization didn't like how close the two were getting. Jason turned around again. "Axel, is it? Jason. Jason Halfblood. It's an honour..." There was no denying that Axel wasn't exactly planning on being overly nice to Jason, but today was Texsera's birthday. He had no intention of ruining that. Even if Axel was in the Organization, Jason wasn't going to be the one to initiate a conflict. "I learned that today was her birthday, and there's a bit of downtime in the tournament, so we came here for a celebration. You're welcome to join."

Axel stared at Jason. He then glanced at Texsera,who had a bit of watery eyes and was eating sea-salt ice-cream. "Uh-huh. Well,nice to meet ya too,Jason Half-Blood."Axel says. He didn't bother to offer a handshake as he walked down and satted on the edge and got comfortable. "Right. It's your birthday today. I totally forgot about it."Axel says as he rubbed the back of his head. Texsera looked over at Axel as she had the ice-cream stick in her mouth. "Of course you did. Everyone but Demyx does."Texsera says,kind of whinning at Axel of how the Organization always tended to forget birthdays. Axel waved his hand. "Yeah yeah."Axel says. Texsera stared and pulled out the stick and stared at it. "It says 'Winner' on it."Texsera says. "That means you can get a free ice-cream next time you go."Axel says. "Ah."Texsera says. She then looked at Jason and smiled. "Jason. This is Axel. He's with the Organization too. He's not my mentor but he does get annoyed when he gets stuck with jobs with Demyx."Texsera says. "Demyx is a lazy @$$. Now Texsera,get that winner stick over to the shop and get me a sea-salt ice-cream."Axel says. Texsera stared and was about to whine. "Go. Run along now."Axel says. Texsera growled. "Be right back Jason."Texsera says as she stood up and walked away. Axel smirked a bit. Now him and Jason had some time to discuss alone. Axel looked at Jason. "You're picking at Xemna's bad-bone with your messing with Texsera. He doesn't like you and his attitude isn't getting any better."Axel says.

Jason looked at Axel. There wasn't a single part of him that was surprised by the fact that this was happening. Axel could wrap it up in his own language, but Jason knew exactly what he was trying to say: back off, or else. "You call it "messing" with her? I prefer the term "helping" her." Jason looked down from the clocktower. Texsera was on the streets walking away. She turned, looked up at Axel and Jason, smiled, and waved, before continuing. "...that girl has a heart. Or if she doesn't, she's definitely getting one, and quickly. Of that, I'm certain. She has a chance to be her own person, live her own life, and be truly happy. That won't happen as long as she's connected with the Organization." Jason's tone wasn't harsh, more calm and 'matter of fact' like. "...I've crossed paths with the Organization before. Not yours, but one in the past. I know what this group stands for, and what you are after. If she stays with you, she will never live her own life. A happy life." Jason looked back at Axel. "You're not the first Organization I've gotten on the bad side of. At this rate, it wouldn't surprise me if I ended up in the future and pissed off another Organization. I know that from what I'm doing, I'm angering them, and they'll be coming after me. I'll accept those consequences. Even if you don't accept it... at the very least, respect it..."

Axel stared at Jason as his smirk faded. He scoffed and looked upfront with a serious expression. "Your theory of growing of heart might be true at one point. But the plans that we have will help us get our hearts faster and sooner than just to wait for an eternity to get them."Axel says. He looked down. "Texsera may be happy,and jolly,and unusual,and you might try to help her. But you must face that in the end she's just a little hollow doll in Xemna's game,and soon,she'll be a tribute for our hearts."Axel says in a dead serious tone. He looked upfront. "Her and the rest. Dexer,Niex,Sophie,Athxson. They are all pawns in the game of chess. We're just making them strong enough to satisfy Kingdom Hearts when it's time."Axel says. He then looked down at his hand and got it to his chest,where his heart would be. "Do whatever you want,Half-blood. Enjoy your little 'mission' with this Nobody. As soon as the tornument ends she will be coming back with us,willingly or not. With memory or without. After so,you will never hear from her again,and everything can return to its normal route."Axel says. He snapped his fingers and fire appeared on his fingertips. "Trust me. If you get involved,Texsera will be the least of your worries,Jason Half-blood."

Jason slowly nodded his head. "I see... you have your orders, and I respect that. I can't hold that against you. I will say though.... you won't be taking her back without a fight. That I can promise you." Jason's left hand, the one not holding his ice cream, became engulfed in black flames. He wasn't going to attack, but he was going to show Axel that he wasn't that easily intimidated. Jason looked ahead, taking a bite out of his sea salt ice cream. "There is one thing I want to know though. I'm going to try as hard as I can to give that girl her own life, but there could be a chance of me failing. Say you do get her back. Say you wipe her memory so that this tournament, that I, never existed to her. Say that all of this works and you get to have a heart for yourself. The ability to feel everything.... if that day comes, can you honestly tell me that you'll be able to live with yourself, knowing that you sacrificed whatever chance this girl has at being happy, being alive, for your own goals...?" Jason was looking Axel in the eyes now, though he couldn't see it. "If you can say that, without a doubt, then this conversation is over. There's nothing left to say. So tell me... will you be able to live with yourself for the rest of your life, knowing what you've done...?"

Neena opened her eyes to a bright sun shining in her face. She looked around a little bit, then remembered where she was. 'That's right, I'm down in the arena.' she thought. Neena leaped to her feat, and took a long deep breath. One last look around her peaceful surroundings, and went up the stairs back into the stands. She was making her way back to the dorm, and wondering who'd be up next, when she passed a very faint vlue light. At first, she thought ahe'd imagined it and continued, but then she remembered a certain individual. Neena looked into the hallway where the light originated, and said, very calmly. "Pervert."

"N-No I'm fine. I can keep going." Haruhi said, refusing to be a burden.

The darkness took her from the sky to the cafeteria. "Now eat something nice, and take your time~" Ragnarok chuckled.
