"Nice one Jason." He spoke as he passed by Jason but did not stop as he continued on his way to do something. He couldn't exactly figure out what but it was important well at least he thought so. "That's right I need to get it together before it becomes unchangeable. Don't want anything bad to happen now at least as long as i'm standing a chance that is."

Texsera scratched her cheek. "Well. Neku says I have more to learn. But I think I put her in her place for the moment. Though she's very persistant. She has a sharper toungue than Larxene."Texsera says as she scratched her cheek and looked down at her necklace. She played with it a bit. "(Neku and this necklace are the only things I have from the past.)"Texsera thinks as she looked up at Jason. "I think Neku's just an old whiny wolf. She tends to make no sense sometimes."Texsera says. She then scratched the back of her head. "I didn't think I'd be able to beat her though. That was a first."Texsera says as she looked down and got her hands on her hips. She smiled and looked at Jason as she tilted her head to the side. "She has been making me think about the possibilities of us matching up against eachother sometime in this tornument,and after some thought,it makes me wanna say,just incase."Texsera says. She smiled and made a peace sign. "I won't back down."Texsera says as she waved her hand smiling.

Jason nodded. "I wouldn't expect anything less of you. And don't let that thing push you around, you're obviously far stronger than it is." Something about Texsera was starting to strike his curiousity. He then realized something. What he realized got him thinking. "I'm going to go back to my dorm soon, but before I do, there's something I have to ask you. A very simple question." Texsera looked at him curiously. "When I was fighting back there, and you were watching me... did you want me to win?" Jason looked at her in the eyes through his hood. "Just a yes or no. Be honest."

Texsera looked up at Jason. She stared and thought for a few seconds. "I..."Texsera says. She then made two fists and looked up with somewhat a determined look. "Yes! I did want you to win! I want to face you afterall."Texsera says. She then lowered her arms and played with her fingers. "Even though I do wish to prove myself to the organization. After watching you fight. I really want to face off against your power. Maybe I'll learn something in the end."Texsera says as she smiled a bit. She was still willing to make the Organization happy,atleast by winning this tornument,or by doing her best. Keeping all that Jason had told her in mind. She felt the headphones. They were still in good condition. Usually she'd had to buy new ones since they would break while fighting. Texsera looked up at Jason and smiled. She suddenly took off her headphones and stuck them on Jason's covered head. He was still covered with his hood,so Texsera just got them over the hood itself. "There."Texsera says as she lowered her arms.

Jason smiled a bit when she put her earphones on his hood. "Thanks." But his head was slowly nodding at the answer she had given him. All that had mattered was that she said yes. "I thought so..." he whispered. He then looked at her. "You remember the man I told you about. Saren, the leader of the Organization where I'm from. He was an incredibly dangerous Nobody... or at least I thought he was. It turned out that he had gotten his heart back... but there was no clear means as to how he did it. There was no method, no trick, no "gathering of hearts," it just happened. Which means, if there's anything likely, he got his heart back through patience and time." Jason took a step closer to Texsera. "You told me that you wanted me to win. Want is a desire. Desire is something you feel. A being without a heart should not be able to say that truthfully, but you did, and I believe you. You felt the desire to see me come out of this match. Think of what that could mean." Jason paused for a moment, letting his words sink in.

 

Jason then continued. "I'll tell you what it could mean. In fact, it means one of two things. Either you are an incredible actress..." Jason raised his hand and placed it on her chest, over the area the heart resides. "...or you may not be as heartless as you think."

 

(This is all pretty much AU, so anything could happen, so I'm just throwing stuff out there. And

in KH3D,

it reveals what I said is possible.

Texsera listened to Jason's words. They carefully sunk into her mind. The tought of having a heart. Maybe she has had one,but never knew. Or maybe it just doesn't beat. Or maybe Xemans was lying. Many thoughts ran through her mind. "(If he's right...then,I have a heart...I'm not missing it. But...I can't heart it beat. I don't feel it beat.)"Texsera thinks. She looked down at his hand. She then carefully got her hand over his. "(I don't feel a heartbeat,I've never ever felt a heartbeat...but now that I think of it...I never really did started to act normal until weeks later...but,has all of that been mimics of Nobody instinct,or a heart acting out.)"Texsera thinks. She still couldn't feel a heartbeat. But after hearing what Jason had said,it made her think,and now she felt something wierd inside. It was like a tiny little flame was inside her body,giving a little warmth inside the hollow cold body. "(Then that means...that I might be....)"Texsera thinks. She smiled big. "(I'm starting to grow a heart.)" Texsera looked up at Jason smiling. "Thank you."Texsera says with a big smile. Maybe the myths were true,maybe Nobodies can grow a heart of their own. Only time would tell. This tornument had truely turned out with lots of surprises.

Jason nodded quickly, a small smile under his hood. There was not a doubt in his mind that he had just made plenty of enemies. If Texsera's Organization was watching everything she was a part of, he wouldn't be surprised if they came after him. In addition, he didn't trust Neku one bit, and he now knew from what Texsera told him earlier that Neku didn't want her getting attached to anyone. But Jason had already taken on an Organization of Nobodies and came out on top, so if they made a move, he was more than willing to take them on. Right now, he was dedicated to helping her out. With her past, with her identity, with everything she needed. Right now, his hand was over her chest, and her hand was wrapped around his. "My pleasure. I've been searching for a long time for what my purpose is. Right now, my purpose is to help you. You are a good person to the core, and you've been dealt a bad hand. I want to change that. I want you to know who you were, and I'll do what I can to help with that." Jason looked down for a moment at his hand on her chest, then back to her eyes. "You're strong, you're confident. You may not be Teresa anymore, but you're your own person now. And this..." Jason's hand slightly pushed against her chest. "...this is proof of that. Don't forget."

Texsera listened to Jason and smiled. "I won't."Texsera says. Suddenly they both heard a roar as out of nowhere Neku launched at Jason,tackling him down to the ground. Neku growled loudly. She waited patiently and listened,until she found that he was to close to Texsera for her comfort. Neku was still a guardian after all. Texsera stared in schock. "Neku,get off him!"Texsera says. Neku howled at him and rose her paw,scratching across his cheek. Texsera summoned her keyboard and slammed it against Neku,having her fly off and slam against the wall. Texsera played a few tunes and sent a soundwave towards Neku. Neku stood up and was struck down by the soundwave. "I can't bealive this. Jason,are you alright?"Texsera asks as she knelt down and helped him up. Texsera looked back up and glared at Neku. "Neku,we do not attack allies!"Texsera says. "That kid was to close to you for my comfort child. He's starting to influence you badly too."Neku says. "Neku,enough of this. You apologize right now."Texsera says as the two glared eachother.

Jason was caught off guard by Neku and was tackled to the ground. Normally he would have seen it coming, but he was still dazed a bit from that last attack Issun pulled in their fight. Jason then felt a slash on his cheek. It stung, but not as bad as the one he recieved from Saren a while ago. It would heal. Jason grabbed Texsera's hand and allowed her to help him up. "Thanks..." He then turned to Neku, both of them staring each other down. "I can be a very good friend and ally if you want one..." Jason's fist clenched, and black flames began burning in it. "But take my word for it: you don't want to be my enemy..." Jason rarely attacked first, and this time wouldn't be an exception. As much as he didn't like Neku, he knew that Texsera was connected to the wolf, and attacking that thing wouldn't help her. If Texsera didn't want Neku anymore, it was something she would have to realize on her own, not something he could just kill and take from her forceably. If Neku DID attack again, though, Jason would not hesitate for a moment to give the wolf a taste of his strength. "Now, do all of us a favour, and please listen to Texsera. I don't want a fight." Jason released his fist, allowing the black flames to vanish, knowing that being hostile wouldn't help the situation. He was still on guard, though.

Neku growled and took a step foward. Texsera took a step foward as well,glaring at Neku. Neku looked at her and then down at her necklace. It was starting to glow red. Neku then glanced at Jason and death glared at him. Neku lowered her ears. "Very well..."Neku says. She walked over to Texsera and stood next to her. Texsera knelt down and petted Neku. "There we go. Don't you feel better when you're calm,Neku?"Texsera asks as she scratched Neku's head. Texsera was one who would get angry at someone for about 10 minutes and then be friends with him/her again after the 10 minutes pass. Texsera stood back up at Jason and gave a small bow. "Please forgive her actions. She's very protective."Texsera says. She looked up at him. "Are you hurt?"Texsera asks when she saw a bit of blood go down his cheek. Texsera took out a bandaid from her pocket. "Here. This should help."Texsera says. Neku growled under her breath.

Jason grabbed the band-aid from Texsera's hand. "Thank you..." He didn't put it on yet, he would do that when he got back to his dorm. "I've taken far worse than that before, I'll be alright." Jason looked at Neku again. His eyes narrowed under his hood, and he heard the wolf growl. "You know," Jason began to speak, "I think Neku and I have some things we need to get out of the way..." I will find out what you are, and if you're trying anything to keep her from being her own person, or doing anything to hurt her, we have a problem. Jason turned slightly to Texsera. "Tell me... is it possible for me to speak to Neku sometime later when I go back to my dorm? I think it's about time the two of us cleared the air..."

Texsera stared. She tilted her head a bit and noded. "Sure I guess. That would be a good idea. You could settle out your differences."Texsera says. She turned to Neku and smiled. "What do you think,Neku?"Texsera asks. Neku glared,but then seemed to calm down. "That sounds...wonderful."Neku says with a slight growl. Texsera rubbed the back of her neck. "You better not attack him Neku. My necklace will grow red when something bad happens,so I'll know if something goes off with you."Texsera says. Neku scoffed. "Please. I'm not that wild anyway."Neku says. She walked away from Texsera and wagged her tail as she glared at Jason. "Infact.,why don't we go now? We have to wait till the other matches are announced anyways."Neku says with a glare. Texsera stared and smiled a bit. "While you two go talk,I'll get going to my dorm then. I'll meet you there,Neku."Texsera says. She waved at jason. "Have a nice chat."

Jason slightly nodded at Texsera. "I'm sure we will..." Jason watched as Texsera started to head back for her dorm. Once she was out of sight, Jason turned back to Neku. He could feel the hostility pouring out of the wolf. Her teeth were bared, her ears were up, and there was a low growl coming from her throat. Jason, however, was hardly intimidated by the dog, so any of Neku's attempts to scare him would hardly be of any effect on the young man. Jason got down on a knee and looked at the dog at eye level. "What are you?" Jason said, an edge to his voice. There was no hope of this conversation even beginning nicely, so Jason saw no reason to mask himself. "And what do you want with her?"

Neku looked away. "I should be asking the same."Neku says. She walked around him in a circle. "My name is Neku. I am a Spirit originally belonging to Texsera's somebody. Spirits are assigned to each family member as protectors and tools of war for whatever they want. When Teresa became Texsera I remained unchanged,but she changed completetly. Even though her apperences remained exactly the same her personality grew to be something else. To top it off she can bearly remember a thing of what she was before that damn incident."Neku says sincerely,as she satted down and glared at Jason. "I am simply trying to get her back by making her remember what she's soppouse to remember."Neku says as she wagged her tail and glared. "What's your deal that involves her?"

Jason stood up. "My name is Jason Halfblood. My brother nearly caused the destruction of the universe, but saved it before taking his own life. I'm looking to restore balance wherever I can. Help people who need me, and Texsera needs help. Help that you aren't giving her." Jason felt the wolf's eyes narrow. "I live in her past. Maybe some 10-15 years after the Keyblade War. I've seen the Organization being born, and I've seen what those psychopaths are capable of. I saw her, and I knew she was a good person, but she's in danger as long as she's associated with them, so I wanted to help her, however I could. Now, that simple idea has grown into something far bigger than I imagined, and I need to see it through. For her sake." Jason began walking back and forth. "Life has dealt her an incredibly bad hand, and the girl deserves better. And how do you help? By forcing her into nightmares, or leaving her when the girl is BEGGING for your help? She has an opportunity to be happy again. She could very possibly even have her own heart now. She can have a fresh start, a clean slate, a chance to be her own person, and I don't think you want that."

 

Jason stopped moving and looked at the spirit wolf. "You claim to be a protector, but I think you want to protect who she WAS, not who she IS. And regardless, there are ways to help people that don't include causing them pain."

Neku growled. "I make her have dreams of her memories. It's her own fault if she doesn't want to remember! She'll never reach her full potential if she can't remember what happened that night."Neku says,pretty sure of herself. She walked around,the hair on her back standing up as she growled loudly towards Jason. "Your technique of helping her and mine are different. Texsera's pretty much the organization's pet. They only keep her around because she does Demyx's work when he lazes around. She needs to focus on what she came here for instead of making friends,or sensing people,or all of those other ridicolous ideas you've gotten into her head. Or else Xemnas will be anything but happy when we go back."Neku says growling. She looked away and curled her tail. "I just need for her to remember. When that happens I can push her to become stronger and better. I am her Spirit,if she won't use me as the weapon I am to get stronger herself,I'll take her training in my own hands."Neku says as she glared at Jason. "Any objections,go ahead. But Texsera and I are connected,and without a Spirit,she's pretty much useless as a normal human would be."Neku says,somewhat pride in her voice mixed with anger and frustruation. Like any other wolf,they don't like when people invade their territory.

Jason glared at the wolf. "If she can't remember, it's because she isn't ready to remember. Forcing her to confront something she isn't ready for will only cause her more harm than it will good. There are other ways. And as for the Organization..." Jason looked away. "...she doesn't have to go back. She can lead her own life. They can't do her any good. I've seen the roots of what they are, I've seen what they can do, and I can tell you from first hand experience that staying with them will NOT end well. Besides, if all she wants is to have a heart, that problem is literally solving itself as we speak, and don't bother trying to deny it. There is nothing the Organization can give her." Jason shook his head. "Forcing something earns nothing. I guide her, but every realization she has come to so far has been from herself, not because I forced her. She chose to fight you because she wanted to prove that she's stronger than you give her credit for. Maybe she doesn't need more strength, maybe she's fine the way she is. She was willing to challenge you. I think that proves she wouldn't be as useless as you think she would be without you there to 'help' her. And-"

 

Jason paused for a moment, coming back to one of the things Neku said. His eyes slightly narrowed under his hood. "...what do you mean, "take her training in your own hands"...?"

Neku scoffed. "The Organization is the only place she has to go and the only 'family' she has. She has nowhere else to go. She would never leave the Organization unless it was a life and death situation,and even then she would question if she should even leave."Neku says as she looked up at Jason. She sighed and looked away. "Before she was turned into a Nobody,her somebody decided that she wanted to go under a special mental training to support and being able to have more than one spirit. I want to finish what we started,one way or another. Especially if she ends up winning the prize of the tornument. I need to have her preprared in any case that this happens."Neku says. She wagged her tail and stared at Jason. "I am a Spirit of War,and I have duties that I will accomplish as they were the last wish that my somebody asked for. I will make this Nobody atleast part of what she once was. The Organization,I have more than respect for them. Infact,they have been watching all this time,so don't be surprised if they encounter you soon..."Neku says in somewhat a treathening voice.

Neku was on the Organization's side. That right there made Neku Jason's enemy. His fists slightly clenched. "There's always another way..." He took a step forward. "She's stronger than you give her credit for. She'll realize one day that she doesn't need something like you trying to control her life, and when she does, you'll be the one who's powerless, not her. And she's better than them. She doesn't need them... I know a few people in my world, my time. Quentin and Azura Victor. They're a good couple. They can take her in, and take care of her. And that's just one option." Jason looked down at Neku. "And don't disrespect me by trying to threaten me. If the Organization wants me dead, they can come here and try as hard as they want." His eyes narrowed. "I'll help her. I'll help Texsera discover her past, without hurting her. I'll help her escape from those monsters that you have seem to like. I won't force her to become strong, I'll help her discover the strength she already has. I'll nurture her heart, help it grow, help her become her own person. I'll save her from the Organization, and I'll save her from you." Jason's fist clenched tighter. "And if you do anything to her, you'll find out why no one who's ever been my enemy is still alive..."

Neku chuckled and a smirk spread across her snout. "You have many intentions to save this estranged Nobody. You are brave. Yet you are an idiot."Neku says in a sincere voice as she walked pass by him. "So maybe she's growing a heart. What makes her so special about it? Xemnas has plans for her and the rest of the trainees back at the Castle. If there is one to many,she'll be the first one to go down the drain. Your actions are noble but you're missing it. She's a lonely Nobody who has fallen into an Organization that has offered her a home and hope. She is still loyal to them in a part,as soon as she's done here,they'll come for her and take her back. Trying to get her away from the people who helped her learn again will be difficult,don't you think?"Neku asks as she had a smirk on her. She chuckled some more. "Right now she's a puppet and many people have the strings and are pulling appart. The moment will come when the strings will break and the puppet will choose where to fall. Or only one string will be strong enough to keep the puppet up."Neku says as she looked away. "Try all you want. If I need to clean her memories of this tornument,I'll find a way,and I'm sure the organization would agree."

Jason looked down. "You're right. It will be difficult. Almost impossible." He looked up again. "...but I've done the impossible before, and I'll do it again. You may not want to accept it, but your hold on your "puppet" is slipping. Eventually it will slip, and you won't have control over her anymore." Jason was committed to this. No matter how much Neku would try to break his resolve, no matter what the Organization would try to do to him, he was going to free Texsera from the grip of Neku and the Organization. "I will save her, I will break the hold you and the Organization have on her, I will stop the Organization from taking her back, and I will stop you. That's a promise. I don't break my promises. I don't care if I have to leave my own reality behind, I will save her.

 

"This world resides in between realities. Whatever fate had in store for her when she was just staying there, that is not her fate anymore. Whatever fate had in store for me before I found my way here, that's not my fate anymore. This is an alternate world, with alternate possibilities. Anything is possible here. Texsera..." Jason leaned in closer to Neku. "...I'll protect her. Until the very end." Jason pulled back. "And if the Organization doesn't like the idea of me breaking their hold over her, you can tell them that they can come right here so we can deal with those issues face to face. And one more thing..." Jason stared Neku right in the eyes. "...my power over light allows me to sense my allies. Even if we part ways, I'll be connected to her. And if you try and wipe her memory... I'll know. And I will come for you."

Neku stared at Jason straight in the eyes. She stopped smirking and seemed to growl. "You're an interesting one,Jason Half-Blood."Neku says as she walked around. She turned to him. "Your action is very noble. Wanting to save a being that was never meant to excist in the first place. An empty shell. A broken doll with no memories of what she once was..."Neku says as she wagged her tail and then curled it up as she turned to smirk at him. "I really can't wait to see you turn this around how you say you will do. I will be waiting and watching for the moments."Neku says. She turned away. "Well,I think I should get back. Wouldn't want to keep Texsera waiting. She's probably bored in the dorm playing a song."Neku says. She chuckled. "Until next time,Jason Half-blood."Neku says. With that she ran off. She ran into the dorm. There Texsera was sitting on one of the beds while playing with her Keyboard. Neku jumped on the bed and rested on her lap. Texsera smiled and petted her. "Did you two settled your differences?"Texsera asks. "Oh yes,infact,I think we could be friends now."Neku says with a hidden smirk.

Jason watched Neku walk away. Now he was 100% certain he had made many new enemies, and he would take them all on if he had to. He had thought that if he wanted anyone to win other than him, it should be Texsera. This was still true, but he couldn't risk Neku getting her hands on power like this. Even though Neku was already leaving, he still spoke. "What matters is that she exists now. And she isn't empty anymore. She's a person. A person worth protecting." Jason's fist was lightly burning with black flames. He turned and walked back to his dorm.

 

When Jason got back to his dorm, he went to the washroom. He looked in the mirror, and pulled off his hood, staring back at his short, dark brown hair, deep blue eyes, a scar over the right side of his face, and Neku's scratch. He pulled out Texsera's bandage, and placed it on the wound. He then stepped back, and pulled is hood back over his head, once again concealing his face in a shadow. He left the washroom and went back over to the wall, leaning against it, and closing his eyes.

Texsera stayed in her room,playing her keyboard. She had given her blue headphones to Jason. So she picked up a simple pink pair that she had brought as a spare and got them on. She played a tune and smiled. "The road I walk is paved in gold,To glorifiy my platinum soul. I'll buy my way to talk to God, So he can live with what I'm not. The selfish blood runs through my vains, I gave up everything for fame. I am the life that you adore! I feed the rich and **** the poor~This is entertainment! Lies are entertainment! You are down on your knees! Begging me for more!~"Texsera sang as she played a loud and high-beat tune. Neku stared and hid her head under the pillow. Trying to get some sleep.

As Neena made her way to the dorm, she reflected on the match. Jason had won, as she had expected, but it was the only real fight so far. It was amusing to watch really. She found herself alone in the dorm with Jason. Neena quickly hopped into bed, and a question struck her. "Jason, who do you think is the most threatening to you here? Just curious." she asked the hooded man.
