I've been meaning to post this topic for a long time and just never got around to it. What are your top ten favorite boss fights of all time? 10. Antivenom (Spiderman: Edge of Time) 9. Hyde Bohr (The 3rd Birthday) 8. Lingering Will (Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix) 7. Zeus (God of War II) 6. Albert Wesker (Resident Evil 5, in the hangar) 5. The Boss (Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater) 4. Ansem, Seeker of Darkness (Kingdom Hearts, in Hollow Bastion) 3. Roxas (Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix) 2. Jeane (No More Heroes) 1. The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted July 3, 2012 (edited) Okay favorite boss fights, let's see. There's: 1) Sephiroth ( Kingdom Hearts 1): Seriously, this is one badass boss to fight! And a heck of a way to level up to level 100 quickly! 2) Barthandelus (Final Fantasy XIII): Stupid bastard. Made us all believe he was just a scrawny old man, but then he transformed to giant creepy smiley robot boss. 3) Genesis (Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII): Epic giant crimson colored Genesis. Sheer awesomeness. 4) Zeromus(Final Fantasy IV): Epic final battle music...need I say more? http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUGoPBQmVVs 5) Vanitas(Kingdom hearts Birth by Sleep):My all time favorite boss battle in this game. 6) Sephiroth (Kingdom Hearts 2):Dodging giant meteors. Weee!!!!! This fight was a total piece of cake. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.png 7) Errol on Giant Robot (Jak 3): Fighting this thing is annoying as hell, but once I finally kill him, I say take that you motherfudger! 8 ) Feral Chaos(Dissidia 012): I hate this guy. Almost threw my PSP to the ground in anger trying to kill this bastard. All the more reason to include him on this list. 9) Team Galactic Leader(Pokemon Diamond): I simply loved bragging to my own self about my badass pokemon beating his sorry ass. 10) Venom (Ultimate Spider Man): Simply awesome. LOL, although I found it infuriating that he would throw me towards the fire or the helicopter rotors most of the time. Dave 5,715 Posted July 3, 2012 In no real order... 1: Captain K. Rool, Donkey Kong Country 2. This was how a 2D side scroller final boss should be: it tested your timing and reflexes, making you take a good while to master it, and ensuring that all those extra lives you collected were well worth it. 2: Gruntilda/ Hag 1, Banjo Kazooie/Tooie. I enjoyed how the battle continued to develop throughout and made you use all your tools. Also, Grunty is hilarious. 3. Ganondorf, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. This was the Ganondorf fight we were all waiting for, where you get to actually sword fight the guy, rather than just following a set formula. Not to mention the battle included a horse chase, which was amazing. 4. Every boss in the game, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. This is cheating, of course, but every boss in this game symbolized what made it so great: they were all fun, creative, innovative, colorful, entertaining, and fun to beat. 5. Malificient, Kingdom Hearts. I felt that there was more at stake fighting Malificient than Ansem, not to mention she was tough, what with napalming the entire battlefield and all. 6. Saturos and Minardi/ Double Dragon, Golden Sun. I love how many times these guys kicked my ass, and beating them in the end was incredibly satisfying. 7. The Elite Four/ Gary, Pokemon Blue and Red. Is there anything better than taking the team you coached from little Caterpries, making them run up those stairs, and then surviving that guantlet to win it all? No, sir. 8. Kefka, Final Fantasy VI. This was the battle that mastered the Square Enix final boss battle motif: it was long, but not annoyingly so. It was challenging, but not cheap (looking at you, Necron). And to top it off, Kefka was such a master villain that the prospect of ending him made the gruelling battle all the more worth it. There are so many awesome bosses out there, I made an entire list and whittled it down to ten based on my overall experience.
