coolwings 1,546 Posted September 15, 2012 Chapter Nine The sensation burned inside of me. The water around me had stopped, as did everything else in this city, and then everything changed. Civilians started screaming as huge beasts appeared through the rift. Before I turned around all I saw was a giant leg crushing the stage with one stomp. I moved over to the side of the lake and climbed out, but as my foot touches ground, an aircraft appears before me, Os’s aircraft. I see Os’s head pop out the top of the aircraft and start telling me to get on. I do what he says but not without one last look behind me. I saw the ruined stage and giant monsters attacking everyone in sight. Flying beasts were attacking the aircraft, while land beasts chased after the fleeing citizens. Os grabs my hand and lifts me on top of the around aircraft. “What about Dimi?” I ask. “We won’t be able to save him. We have to get out of here now!” Os replies. I follow Os through the hatch on the top of the airship. I didn’t want to leave Dimi but I agreed that we wouldn’t be able to save him. The things that had appeared out of the rift had made it so. I had never seen anything like it in my life. I was shocked and scared. I see Lara lying unconscious across two seats. My heart pounded as I saw her. The blood was running down her face and dripping onto the metal floor. I quickly sit down next to her head. As I see the source of the wound I grab a rag that was lying on the floor next to me and apply pressure to the wound. She looked like she was going to die. I was afraid. It was my fault that this had happened to her. I turn to Os, who was starting up the aircraft, and say: “I’m… sorry.” “What for?” responds Os. “For… getting annoyed at you, when you told me my world is gone…” I tilt my head downwards. “It’s fine. Anyway, don’t worry I always forgive my friends.” Os smiles then turns back to his station. I smile back then turn my attention back to Lara. The blood from her head started seeping through the rag and onto my hands. I remember back to my world, when I first saw someone dying; Lara looked just the same as that person. I move my hand then wipe the hair from her face. “Where are we going?” I ask, turning back to Os. Os hesitates then says: “First we need to head back to Dimi’s house, and then we will return to our other hideout.” “What other hideout?” “Before we met Dimi we had another hideout on the other side of this city. We were only staying with Dimi temporally, until our mission to obtain the key was over, and now we have failed so we have return to our old hideout and plan our next move.” Os answers. After a few more minutes the aircraft pulls to a halt and Os stands up. “Wait here, while I gather the supplies.” I nod then Os climbs out of the aircraft and leaves me sitting in an enclosed space with an unconscious Lara. It was so quiet that I could hear the sound of my heart beating. I sat in silence as I watch the hot blood drip from Lara’s head. After minutes Os returns. He hands me a box of medical supplies then hops onto the driver’s seat. “Ready?” He asks. Before I answer I notice that we have already taken off. I look down at Lara and open the box on my lap. Inside contained supplies that I have never seen before. “What is this stuff?” I ask Os. “Oh, I forgot, you’re not from this world.” Os replies. “Do you see a small green bottle in there?” I search the box for the bottle and when I finally find it I reply, saying: “Yep” “OK, slowly poor some onto your hand and then rub it on Lara’s wound.” I open the bottle smelling the strong, sweet odour. I couldn’t describe the scent, except that I knew that it had a sweetish smell. I remove the rag off Lara’s head then poor the greenish liquid onto my left hand. The liquid in the bottle didn’t seem like a liquid. It was sticky and slimy, and it didn’t slip off my hand when I moved it. I moved my vibrating hand over Lara’s head and placed it on her wound. The cold liquid covered up the blood as I rubbed it in. “Done.” I finally reply to Os. “OK, lastly you need to move her head so that it is facing in an upwards position, then get a blue rubber that is in a small plastic bag and push it down over her wound.” Os says, staying focused on the steering leaver. I do everything that Os said, and then he responds, saying: “We’re nearly there.” I nod then leave the still unconscious Lara with her medical supplies. When I feel the machine slowing down I stand up and walk over to Os. “Are we here?” Os leaves the control leaver and nods his head. “Go take a look around.” I smile, excited to see where we are, and open the hatch above me. It was dark. The only light was from the aircraft which was starting to become visible. I climb out of the machine and into wherever we are. It was cold, really cold, and dark. I couldn’t see anything except for the aircraft behind me. I take a few steps forward and notice walls around me. We are in a tunnel. 2 replika13 and twilight_breeze reacted to this

coolwings 1,546 Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) Chapter 10 I am in complete darkness. All I can see is the lights of the aircraft behind me. When I walk forwards I see stone walls. I must be in a tunnel, but why? Why would Os bring me here? Is this their secret base? How did we even get in here? So many questions rushed through my head and only one person knows the answer; Os. I turn back to the aircraft and watch Os get out. “Where are we? Why are we in a tunnel?” I ask the questions as they pop into my head. Os hesitates then says: “This tunnel is the pathway to the base; we are not quite there yet.” I nod then face the aircraft. “What about Lara?” “She will be fine for now, I will get her later.” Os jumps off the aircraft and walks up beside me. “Follow me.” Os starts walking ahead of me but soon I am matching his pace. “How did we get in here?” I ask. “There is an elevating roof just above where the aircraft is parked. But it’s closed now, so no beasts or monsters can get in here. “ Os and I continue down the pitch black tunnel, our footsteps echoed throughout the tunnel making it seem longer than it was. Soon I could see a shining metal door in the distance. “Hey, Os.” I ask while wiping the blood off my hand and onto my pants. “Yeah?” Os replies, with a concerned look on his face. I stop walking and look up at Os. “Well… uhhh, it’s weird, ya’know. This whole thing, I always thought it was just my world, but now, I feel like I don’t know anything. It’s just weird…” “Zeka, I know how you feel. When Lara and I first left our world, we were confused. We didn’t know what to do. Lara suffered the most, she hasn’t been the same since we left our world, and she’s changed so much. But the hope of saving the worlds rose and saved me from our despair. It was better than doing nothing.” Os smiled. “So, help us, and maybe we can bring back your world and maybe all the worlds.” I smile back and nod as I say: “Ok, yeah.” But I wasn’t completely sure that I wanted my world back, maybe, I could stay with Os and Lara. Os and I continue to the door, and as it automatically opens before us, I take a long gaze inside. The room before me was huge. It resembled a bigger version of the lab in Dimi’s house. Devices I could never dream of were in this room. All I could make out of them was they were huge and shiny. I noticed some devices from Dimi’s lab. The rest were completely oblivious to me. “Follow me.” Os says. He walks down the hall and up to a huge device that resembled the other teleporter in Dimi's house. Os starts tapping buttons on the machine as I continue to gaze around the room. I notice some strange looking boots and a glove laying on a table with wires attached to them. Across the room is open cabinet stocked with strange looking swords, and guns. My eyes gazed upon them, looking at the strange detail of the weapon. “Zeka.” Os called out. “ I'm going to get Lara, wait here.” I nod as he walks off, but then I notice the teleportation device. I see a small screen above the machine showing a picture of what looked like a dying world. I walk up at take a closer look. In small writing on the bottom of the screen it says: “World 214.” I reach up to take a closer look but then I feel my hand slide along the machine and the picture disappears instantly. I take a step back and notice I have done something wrong. The machine was vibrating on the spot. “What have you done?” Os shouts, appearing beside me. I stand still and stare at the machine as Os tries to contain the machine. I fall to the ground after an explosion occurs above me. I look up to see the roof above me falls down. Os grabs my hand and pushes me out of the way, but then suddenly I couldn't feel his hands on my back any more. I couldn't feel the ground any more. All that I could see was light. I tried to move but I couldn't feel my body. Soon the light disappeared. I could feel my body, the ground, the wind around me and the grass moving along my feet... coolwings 1,546 Posted October 12, 2012 (edited) Wow! Now I really wanna know where Zeka ended up! And why didn't we save Dimi? Bit sad everyone is separated again... I know it's a bit sad for a while, and now its time for you to find out where Zeka ended up, and they are going to find Dimi Me when I saw there was a new chapter up: This is great man, and getting more and more interesting; definitely top-notch quality. I'm excited to read more Poor Zeka... Hahaha, thanks bro! I'm really glad you are enjoying it! _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Chapter 11 I open my eyes to see a vast range of grass surrounding me. No trees, no flowers, only long grass that reached up to my knee. As I look around I feel a strong hand grab my shoulder and pull me down so that I am lying beneath the grass. I turn around to see Os lying down behind me. “Os, you’re here!-“ I say, but Os quickly pushes my head down into the mud, so I can’t speak. “Be quiet!” Os whispers. We lay in silence for a while until I suddenly hear a strange growling noise. I move my head slightly so I can just talk. “What’s going on-?” I whisper, but suddenly Os holds my head down again, fulling my mouth with mud. There is a moment of silence as the growling continues, but then suddenly I feel the weight being lifted off my head as Os lets go and shouts. “Run!” I hesitate for a second, taking in what Os said, but as I start to get up I feel a piercing pain as razor sharp claws dig into my back. I yelp in pain, and as I am about to fall back to the ground I see Os jumping over me. As I feel the claws leave my body I quickly get up and start running forwards. I look back only when I hear a loud, horrifying scream coming from behind me. What I see was not want I expected. I see a mutated wolf-like creature falling to the ground while Os stands next to it shooting a blue beam of light out of a glove on his hand. I recognise the glove instantly as the one I saw back at Os’s secret base. I also notice in Os’s other hand one of the strange looking swords which Os suddenly used to deliver the final blow to the creature. The wolf-like creature lets out only last cry as it fades into the grass. After it was dead I suddenly fall to the ground, after feeling the full pain of the scar on my back. Os rushes over to me and kneels down next to me. “We’ve got to get moving.” Os says. “I can’t…” I reply. I reach out and touch my back feeling the hot blood covering my hand. “My back, it really hurts! I can’t walk.” Os gets up and has a look at my wound. His eyes widen and his face goes pale as he spots the wound. He tries to remain calm but I hear him mutter: “Oh, no.” “Ok, I’ll find a place to camp here, while I treat your wound.” Os takes a backpack off his shoulders, which I never noticed before, and places it next to me, along with the strange sword. When night appeared Os was finally finished with setting up the camp. He picked a dry spot next to a huge rock where we could lay underneath the grass and not be seen. Os had also put some medicine on my wound to stop the pain and something I described as a see-through tape onto the claw marks to block in all the blood. The stinging pain from my back was almost gone. I lay on my stomach looking over at Os, who was lying on his back looking up towards the sky. “Hey, Os,” I begin to say in the silence. Os takes his glaze off the sky and turns it to me. With Os’s attention I continue: “Where’s Lara? Why are we here?” Os stops me before I can say any more. “Lara must still be in the airship,” Os hesitates. “When I went to get her I heard the sound of the teleporter starting up, so I ran back to check it out and you know the rest…” I sit up a bit to hear what Os has to say. “I can’t believe the roof was destroyed by those creatures… I thought it was strong enough to withstand their power…” Os’s voice goes quiet, so I can barely hear him, “and now Lara’s probably dead.” I didn’t want to respond knowing that Os was sad but I had to ask. “Why are we here? You were looking at this world from the teleportation device,” I hesitate. “It said; ‘World 214’” “This world… is apparently where the king of Dimi’s world had teleported. See a while ago before we met you, Dimi had put a tracking device on the king and programed it onto the teleporter so if the king leaves the world then we could find him. “ Os replies. “So the king and the key are here, and alive?” I ask, “…and Dimi?” “Possibly,” says Os. “Anyway, you should get some rest, don’t worry I’ll keep watch.” I didn’t want to make Os have to stay up all night just so I can rest, but my mind was on other things. I wanted to find Dimi, and help him, because really I own him a lot. Edited October 12, 2012 by coolwings 1 twilight_breeze reacted to this

coolwings 1,546 Posted November 21, 2012 Finally I had time to finish this chapter! Hopefully I will finish the next chapter faster. Chapter 12 I open my eyes to see the burning sun shining down on me. “Good morning.” I hear Os say beside me. I jump up realising how long I’ve slept for. “Oh, no, I’m sorry, you should have woken me.” Os grabs my arm and pulls me back underneath the grass. “Don’t worry about it, you needed the sleep.” I smile then say: “When are we going to head off?” “Now I guess.” Os gets onto his knees and puts the top of his head just over the long grass. I wait a minute and then he says: “Ok, come on… Oh wait.” Os undoes the belt off his waist, followed by the strange sword he was holding before, and passes them to me. “Hold on to that, you might need it.” I tie the belt around my waist and stick the sword down the slot on my side. “What about you?” I say. Os responds by holding up his hand and showing me the glove on his hand. “Don’t worry, I’ve got this.” I nod then follow Os through the grass. “For now we will travel on foot, but listen to me. If I say run, you run, if I say duck, you duck, if I say jump, you jump, got it?” I nod and follow Os forwards. We travel for what feels like hours through the endless grass. If it weren’t for the cooling wind from the grass I would have died from all the heat. My skin was so burnt that it was starting to peel. “Where are we going?” I finally ask. “I think we’re almost there; there should be a swamp up ahead which is where the king should be.” Os says as my legs stop and I fall to the ground. Os kneels down beside me and hands me a drink bottle out of his backpack. “Here, don’t drink it all, we need to save it.” I take the bottle out of his hands. “I don’t know how long we’ll be here.” I take the bottle to my mouth and start drinking the refreshing water. I drank until I thought I had enough. As my lips moved away from the end of the bottle I started to hear a growling noise from behind me. Suddenly my head was pushed down towards the ground, causing me to drop the bottle. I tried to move my hand towards the sword but my hand was stuck under my body. I try to move but I hear a soft exploding noise and as I feel the pressure lifted off my head as start to smell burning grass. With nothing holding me to the ground I quickly get up and run forwards. When I look back I see Os pointing the glove he had on at two wolf-like creatures. The glove was shooting out flames that caught alight to the grass around Os. The wolf-like creatures seemed to be afraid of fire but whenever they had the chance they would use their razor sharp teeth to try and rip the glove from Os’s hand. I wanted to help Os, but I was too scared, so I just kept running. I ran until I couldn’t run anymore. I only just realised that I was standing in the middle of a swamp when I stopped. I looked around. The silence in the swamp scared me. As I decided to head back to Os, I hear a man’s voice shout: “Not bad, for a child.” I instantly look around trying to figure out where the voice was coming from. Suddenly I hear another voice, but this time it sounded oddly familiar. “You ain’t seen nothing yet!” The familiar voice shouted. I take a step forwards, realising whose voice it was. “Dimi!’ I called out. I started running. Running forwards, until I saw Dimi and the King standing in front of a big tree with their swords crossed. Dimi looks back and notices me, but at the same time the king quickly swings his sword at Dimi’s hand and kicks him to the floor. I run forwards while pulling out my sword. The King does nothing to defend himself as I rush forwards, instead he lowers his sword. I stop to look down at Dimi, but then I see The King pull out something from his pocket. “The Key!” I shout. The King grabs The Key with two hands then he lifts it’s above his head and swings his arms down as if he was cutting the air. Nothing happened at first but then a bright light engulfed the area. I used my arm to shield my eyes but I could feel a strange sensation radiating off the light. The sensation made me feel sad, but also powerful, like I was the strongest person alive. I knew when the light was gone because the sensation left with it, but when I opened my eyes I was shocked. I was expecting The King to have disappeared, but he didn’t. The only thing that had changed was that another man was standing right next to The King. A man I recognized completely, “Arigus!” I shouted, while lowering my sword. Arigus looked down at me, he looked surprised to see me, but also a little angry. He didn’t say anything to me; instead he turned to The King and said: “I told you, it IS a fake!” Arigus showed The King what he was holding in his hand. “I have the real one!” For a second I get a glimpse of what Arigus was holding; it was an exact replica of The Key that The King was holding. “Give me that!” The King shouted. The King went to grab The Key from Arigus’s hand but suddenly I see Dimi’s body being thrown in the air after Arigus shot a beam of light at him from The Key. I stand still, stunned by what had just happened. As I look down at Dimi’s still body I see another bright light fill the area, and Arigus and The King disappeared. 3 replika13, Hunter Hawk and twilight_breeze reacted to this

Thanks for the support ^^ Oh my god, i missed 2 chaps and now it's so complicated! Can't wait for the next one :DAnyway, how come both os and zeka show no sign of regrets that Lara die? And zeka was kinda sad they couldn't save dimmi in the city? Be careful, your reader will detect some bl then! LOL Well for one they didn't know what happened to Lara. Also I purposely did that so the readers will be wanting answers to make it more interesting, sorry if I didn't explain it enough, I need to get better at that. Hopefully this next chapter clears things up. Thanks for the feedback though! ^^ ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Chapter 13 My head spinned while I dropped to the ground in front of Dimi’s bloody body. I touch his wound on his stomach from where The Key’s power had struck him. Blood quickly covered my shaking hands as Dimi’s little head adjusts upwards. “Zeka I remember when we first met. I was eating breakfast, while you awoke from your sleep. I got a fright because I didn't think you would ever wake up. I remember feeling sad for you, your world was destroyed and you were stuck and unconscious in a foreign world. I will never forget that moment when I first met you, the moment when I met a great friend.” Dimi said in a soft voice. I hadn’t known Dimi for a long time, but I was glad he thought of me as a friend. I smile as I start to hear footsteps from behind me. Os walks up beside me, and as I see him spot Dimi’s wound, his face fills with sadness. Dimi continues to talk while Os and I were speechless: “I’m glad you came to save me, both of you,” Dimi starts to focus more on Os. “But now, you have to go after the king, and get back that key.” “Dimi, we can help you, just wait here and we may be able to find some supplies to save you.” Os says, trying desperately to find a solution. “No.” Dimi responds, calmly. “It’s already too late. Os, continue our mission, and… I’m thankful for all your help.” I feel a lump in my throat. My hands start to shake. My eyes are fixated on Dimi’s dying body, and I feel a soft tear running down my cheek. “Dimi, wait!” I finally shout. Dimi’s looks up into my teary eyes. “Thank you, for being my friend.” Dimi smiles as his head falls back onto the ground. I stare at Dimi’s body for a while until Os pulls me away and tells me we have got to go. “It’s what Dimi would want; we have to go after the king!” “But how do we find him?” I say while digging my foot into the slimy ground beneath me. “I don’t know, but we could search around at least it would be better than staying here.” I nod slowly but I keep my head facing the ground so Os wouldn’t see how sad I was. I could tell that Os was also sad but he was much better than me at hiding his emotions. “What are we going to do with Dimi?” Os looks down at his still body but says nothing as I crouch down next to him. Suddenly I feel a burst of wind from behind me which forces me over Dimi’s body and into the slimy water. As my head returns to the surface I look up out through the trees around me at a huge aircraft hovering over the swamp. The aircraft that had appeared was similar to the one we had used in Dimi’s world but it looked more advanced. Os was also blown back as the aircraft had appeared but he managed to get back up and he was now pointing the special glove he had on at the aircraft. A bunch of leaves flew past me as I climb out of the water and stand next to Os. The engine on the aircraft started sounding like it was going to stop. The aircraft started to lower to the ground through the trees which were being blown around from the wind that the aircraft was creating. I take a step back and almost stumble to the ground as the aircraft lands. The two large engines which were propelling the aircraft upwards disappeared into the aircraft while two long polls shot out and dug into the ground. A small door opened on the side of the aircraft after the aircraft had stopped, and a man jumped out. As the man neared Os and me, I realised who it was. “Zeka!” the man shouted. “Valko, what are you doing here?” I respond. Behind Valko I see a familiar girl appear and jump out of the door of the aircraft. “Lara!” Os cried out before running towards the girl. “What’s going on!” I shout at Valko as I approach him. “We’ve got to go, we’ll talk later, just get on the airship.” Without saying anymore Valko starts running back towards the aircraft. I stated to follow him but then I remembered Dimi who was lying a few meters behind me. “Wait!” I shout. “We must take him with us.” Valko realised that Dimi was dead yet he still allowed me to bring him along. I think that Valko only allowed me to bring him because he wanted to hurry. 1 Weiss reacted to this
