coolwings 1,546 Posted June 26, 2012 (edited) Chapter One The dry sand pierced my mouth. I haven’t eaten in days. But I guess I am lucky to have lasted this long. The hot sand beneath me stung my burnt skin. It was an annoying feeling, being all alone like this. Soon my hunger overtook me and I found myself munching on the sand again. Is this really better than nothing? I ask myself. I at least needed some sand before it all disappeared down the huge cracks that ran down the empty beach. Emptiness chilled my burning body as I slid along the ground. I remember this place, one weekend, when I was a child my mom took me down to the beach. I remember that day more clearly than yesterday, because that was the day this all started. Approximately two years ago I sat on this beach with my parents by my side. Everything was fine, no one expected it. The perfect time to strike. Out of the water rose a massive wave. No one saw it coming. No one saw it building up. At the same time an enormous crack formed along the beach. The wave caught everyone except for me and dragged them down the hole. I was the fastest on the beach and was the only one to survive. Not even my parents made it out. Ever since then I have been surviving off scraps of food while the earth slowly started to degrade. The earth is ripping apart and creating massive cracks in the ground. Tsunamis are rare only because the sun has dried up most of the water. I don’t think there is any fresh water still in existence. All animals have been killed off as food for humans. No grass or greenery in sight, the earth is now a dried up rock. The population of the human race has been rapidly decreasing. Now that all the food is gone all that’s left is to eat each other. I have denied eating another human being, but I am sometimes tempted to hurt one down. But I have chosen my path; I will survive off what is left and avoid any humans in sight. One by one countries are destroyed. Now it is survival of the fittest, waiting to see what country will be next. I take every day as an adventure. Never planning what to do next, I just do it. My ripped clothes dangled around my body, as I stood up. I don’t know where I will go next, but I have decided to leave here. As I slowly walk up the deserted beach I feel a slight pounding from beneath me. It started to get louder and louder but by the time I decide to run for it, a huge wave appears behind me. I don’t waste any time, I quickly sprint towards the exit of the beach. I am fast. But not fast enough to outrun a tsunami. A huge crack outlines the exit of the beach, but there was an entry quite close which I entered the beach through. If I went for the entry I would never make it. It was too far away. So without thinking I jumped for it. The crack was quite wide and I have never jumped this far before but it was too late. The wave engulfed me and swallowed me down the hole... coolwings 1,546 Posted June 27, 2012 (edited) Chapter Two I couldn’t see, I couldn't breathe. I could only feel the pulsing water dragging me down the hole. I tried to move but didn’t succeed. The water overpowered my strength. I am going to die I told myself. At this moment I remembered my parents and everyone else who got swallowed down a hole. This is what they felt like while I survived it all. I knew I wouldn’t survive forever but I thought I would last longer than this. I can’t last much longer underwater. Soon I will drown. As I thought this I felt a strange sensation. I was no longer falling. The water was calm. I started to move my legs and float. I stretched out my arms and began to swim to the surface. As I broke free of the water I began gasping for breath. I opened my eyes examining what was around me. Above me was a small hole that shone a dim light. Around me were walls of rock. I am so far underground that I can hardly see the light from above. I floated still, relaxing and just managing to explain where I am to myself. I didn’t want to think, I wanted to lay here forever. It was so relaxing, exactly how I wanted to die. I tried not to think about how I will get out of here. I thought about laying here forever until I die or drowning myself in the water around me. Suddenly as I began to give up hope, I feel a tight grip around the ankle of my foot. The thing which I couldn’t describe, was trying to pull me underwater. I didn’t let it. I pulled back, trying to keep my head above water. I threw my body around the water trying to break free of the grip that sustained me. As I felt my foot press against something hard and the grip around my ankle loosen I quickly swam to the side of the rocky surface around me. I stuck my hand on a rock that stuck out slightly from the wall and began to climb. I have never done rock climbing in my life, but I guess there is a first time for everything. As my legs started to leave the water below me I feel a sharp stinging feeling. I look behind me and see a man right below me stabbing my leg with a knife. The leg he stabbed was the leg that was giving me all the support. Without support I soon fell right on top of the man. I flipped around on top of the man for a second but then he quickly grabbed me and pressed me up against the rocky wall. “Who are you?” the man shouted, as he pointed his knife at my neck. “I’m…” I hesitated. “Zeka.” “Age?” “14” I answered. The man lowered his knife and dived underwater. I don’t know why but I followed him. Something about him just made me follow. Just beneath me, over to the side a bit I saw the man swim through a small crack in the wall which he was only just able to get fit through. Without hesitation I quickly dived down and swum through the hole. Not once did I think this was a trap. The man made me feel like trusting him. So I did. But I won’t be reckless; this man just stabbed the back of my leg, who knows what else he might do to me. The hole I swam through was very tight, I could barely fit through. The hole seemed to go up slowly as I continued. But soon I reached the surface. The man was nowhere in sight, so I decided to continue. I had left the water behind and now was crawling through a very uncomfortable and enclosed space. My body was burning. My leg was stinging. My hands were cut and weak. How much longer? I asked myself. Soon I found the man again; he was crouching down at the end of the hole next to a round metal door. As I crawled up beside him I saw what he was doing. He was holding the knife that he stabbed me with. I saw that the knife wasn’t a normal knife. It had a strange hook thing on the end which made it look like a key. The man slid the key through a small slot in the metal door. The door slowly opened while the man turned to me and said: “Stay here!” I did what he said as he crawled through the door. But when he left I took a quick peek through the door. There was a small room. It was crowded with strange objects and tools. Posters hug on the wall, which none I recognised. Paper was scattered around the room or on small desks. Four beds lay side by side on one side of the room, followed by small cabinets and desks and tables. On the other side was a strange, huge machine with tools and object scattered around it. In the middle was the man who stabbed me, and three other men. I couldn’t make out everything they were saying but I heard them say: “Experiment,” “portal” and “we need him.” As soon as I heard that I became worried that they were talking about me. What are they going to do to me? Is this a trap? I thought. I need to get out of here. As I slowly started to back up and decided to get out of here, it was too late. One of the other three men spotted me and was now slowly walking towards me… Edited June 28, 2012 by coolwings 6 twilight_breeze, replika13, Hunter Hawk and 3 others reacted to this

Don't worry I could never get as good as you at writing _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Chapter Three I slowly backed away as the man continued to walk towards me. I was trying to run but I was frozen with fear. The man who was approaching me was wearing a long white coat and wore big round glasses. The man walked right up to me and said: “Zeka, is that your name?” “Yes.” I nodded. “Well hello, my name is Arigus,” said the man. He gestured to the other three men. “This is Biggs and that’s Hetyo,” He points at the man who stabbed me in the leg. “And of course you have already met Valko.” “So do you need him?” Valko cut in. “Need me for what?” I ask. “Be patient Valko.” Arigus said, ignoring me. He looks down at my cut open leg. “Hetyo, go get Zeka’s leg fixed up.” One of the other men nodded at Arigus and started walking towards me. The man named Hetyo was also wearing a long, white coat but he looked completely different to Arigus. Arigus was skinny and looked so much older and wiser while Hetyo was young and quiet. I followed Hetyo over the other end of the room where all the beds sat while Valko, Arigus and Biggs started talking out of range. Hetyo gestured for me to sit down on a bed while he walked towards the cabinets and pulled out a box of medical equipment. I sat down as he came towards me with the box and sat down next to me. “What happened?” Hetyo said, staring at my leg. I look over at Valko. “He stabbed me.” I say. “Do you know why?” “He is supposed to be our guard and kill anyone who falls down here.” Hetyo said while grabbing my leg and examining the cut. “He stabbed you pretty good….” “Why didn’t he kill me?” I stared at Hetyo as he put some type of medicine on my wound. “We need a boy. But I will leave the explaining up to Arigus.” Hetyo wrapped my leg up with a bandage ad and held it down with a clip. “You should get some rest. Here put your foot up on this.” Hetyo placed my leg on a pillow as I lay down on the bed. Hetyo walked off to join the others while I lay there enduring the throbbing pain coming from my leg. Why do they need me? I ask myself. Soon I start to feel sleepy and slowly I fall asleep. “Are you alright?” says Arigus as soon as I open my eyes. “Yeah…” I say sheepishly. I sit up to see everyone crowded around me. “I guess I have some explaining to do…” said Arigus. coolwings 1,546 Posted July 1, 2012 (edited) Thank you everyone for the support, it is highly appreciated! Chapter Four Arigus sat down beside me and began explaining everything. “It all started two years ago. When a tsunami swallowed a beach full of people to their death, which was right above where we are now.” Arigus points at the chubby man standing in between Valko and Hetyo. “Biggs here was one of them.” “My parents and I were on that beach at the time.” I cut in. “So then you know all about it.” Biggs said. “But how did you survive? I was the only survivor.” “I managed to out run the tsunami while it dragged everyone down the hole. How did you get out?” Biggs looked over at Arigus. “At the time Biggs and I were good friends.” Arigus started to explain. “Biggs managed to find this secret tunnel through to this room. From here he managed to contact me. I told Valko and Hetyo about our situation and we seemed to have conjured up a teleportation device within weeks. I came down here with one end of the device and Hetyo and Valko stayed up on earth with the other side of the device. We tested it before but we never knew if it would work underground. But it did. We managed to set this place up and using it to our needs. As scientists we figured that this world is dying. We didn’t know why but slowly it was fading from existence. With all food gone from up above, we cut off the other teleportation device. Hetyo here then came up with the idea to teleport again. But not just somewhere on earth, we decided to make a teleportation device that would let us travel to other worlds.” I sat there stunned at what the old man was saying. But there was only one thing on my mind. I turn to Biggs and say: “What about everyone else who was swallowed down the hole?” “As I said I was the only survivor. Most drowned but only some I ate.” Biggs replied. I thought he was joking but Biggs looked serious. “You ate them?” “How else was he going to survive?” Arigus cut in. I saw Valko smile as I moved away from them. “What about my parents? That’s sick!” I scream. “Zeka! Calm down!” Arigus said. But I didn’t listen. I made a run for it. I got passed Arigus, Biggs and Hetyo but then Valko pinned me down. I tried to struggle through his strength while screaming and shouting. “Let me go!” I shout at Valko. “Isn’t happening,” Valko put all his weight on me. “Calm down Zeka,” Arigus said softly. “No.” I shout. I feel a sharp pain coming from my arm. I start to feel dizzy but then I faint. When I wake up I am on the bed again. Arigus is watching me from the end of my bed but I can’t see the other three men. “Are you alright?” asks Arigus “Just tell me what you’re going to do to me!” I answer. Arigus walks over to me and sits on the bed beside me. “Do you want something to eat first?” he asks. “Fine…” Arigus stands up and walks off. I thought about sneaking off but my legs were numb and I couldn’t move. Anyway where would I go and I was starving for food so I had to accept. A little while later he comes back holding a tray of food. He places it beside me and then sits down. “So as you know we have decided to make a teleportation device that can make us travel to other worlds.” Arigus explains. I look down at my food. Meat and vegetables, I am surprised that this stuff still exists. As I start to eat Arigus continues. “After a year’s work we have managed to create the device. Biggs managed to find some equipment from up on earth before we cut off the other device. But we don’t know yet if there are other worlds. For all we know we could be hanging onto false hope. That is why we need you.” I stop eating and look up at Arigus. “We want you to test the device.” “What?” I say. “We couldn’t risk one of us dying, or then we could never save this world.” Arigus continued. “All four of us are trying to save this world and if you found out there was other worlds then you would be everyone’s hero.” I seemed to like the world hero. But I didn’t want to risk my life. Could I really save the world? I always wanted to die for something important. And what if I did find another world. I would be free. But can I really trust these guys. I really didn’t know what to do so I just sat there and stared at Arigus. “All you have to do is enter through the device,” Arigus said. “But I will give you some time to decide. I nod as Arigus stands up and leaves me alone to decide on my fate. I lay there thinking of my parents. What should I do?” I think as I fall asleep. I dreamt about my parents. I dreamt about the day they died. I dreamt about the world dying but me saving it in the end. Could I really do this? Could I really be a hero? When I woke up I had made my decision. I knew exactly what I was going to do. I was going to save the world… Edited July 2, 2012 by coolwings 5 SoraKH, 4Everbee, Hunter Hawk and 2 others reacted to this
coolwings 1,546 Posted July 2, 2012 (edited) Chapter Five Arigus explained to me the basics. I was going to enter the device. If there are other worlds and someone else has built a receiver then I will be transported to that world but if there wasn’t then I would be lost and would no longer exist. “You will vanish into a realm of emptiness.” Arigus explained. “But if you survive then you have to find out as much information as you can then report back to us.” Arigus shows me a small device that looks like a camera. “You will use this to record everything that happens.” I nod as I stare at the huge machine that is the teleportation device. “Are you sure it will work?” I ask. “Thirty percent sure,” smiled Biggs. I stared at Biggs, who just laughed. “Don’t worry you will be fine.” “First we need to run come precautions. We will do it tomorrow.” Arigus said. “Valko you go get Zeka something to eat while we get everything ready.” I turn to Valko who seemed to be giving Arigus a look that says: Why me. Arigus nods at him before Valko walks off gesturing for me to follow. Valko brings me some food after I sit down on a bed. “Thanks.” I say. “Hmm,” Valko says while sitting down beside me. “So you want to be a hero, huh?” “No I just… don’t want any more people to die,” I say after I stop eating. “I know what you mean.” I turn to Valko and look at him clearly. Valko was big and strong. He never wore a shirt, and he always wore ripped shorts. I have never seen him smile or look sad, except till now. “I lost everyone when this all began. My whole family died, except for Hetyo.” “Hetyo is your son?” I ask. “Nah, he’s my brother. I came here with him and his friends when our family died,” Valko says. “I was useless at first but then they gave me the role of a guard.” Valko smiled at me then stood up. “Eat up or it’ll get cold.” I nod and continue eating while Valko walks off. When I finished eating I decide to take a quick nap. I soon get woken up by Valko who was shouting my name and shaking me at the same time. “What!” I answer sitting up. “Time to get up,” Valko shouts. “It’s time for you to be a hero.” I smile at Valko as he helps me up. I see Arigus, Biggs and Hetyo standing beside the teleportation device giving it a few final adjustments. This is it. I thought. Arigus gives me special clothes to wear but he told me I will need to figure out how to use the special abilities by myself. The clothes I wore were black which made me look kind of emo with my black hair, but Arigus added a brown belt and a grey hat to go with my look. Arigus also gives me the tiny recorder and places it on top of my hat. “Ready?” Arigus asks. I nod as I stare at the teleportation device. “Good luck,” says Biggs. “See you soon,” Hetyo smiles. I turn to Valko who just smiles at me. “Go on then.” I nod and walk forward until I am standing before the teleportation device. It was a huge device but the bit I would stand on is a huge tube with lots of beam cannons surrounding it. I had a strange feeling. I was actually going to miss them, even though I have only known them for a short while. But there was something else; I had a strange feeling that I might not see them again. I turn around. “Bye,” I say as in step in the middle of the device. Arigus closes the tube in around me and presses a button on the machine. The machine starts to vibrate as it charges up. I take one last look at the men before I vanish. A sharp pain injects into me. I try to scream but I can’t move. I feel like I am flying but ultra-fast. I just wanted it to end. When the pain stops I open my eyes. I look around me. I am in a huge machine just like before, but the four men aren’t there. Instead its three kids, two of them look older than me but the other one looks younger. The one of the older ones was a girl while the other two were guys. I stare at them as they stare at me. My eyes were burning. Was I seeing things? “Hello,” says the older boy. I stare at him for a while. He had blond hair and looked exactly like the older girl. They must be twins. I thought. “Hi,” I respond. Edited July 2, 2012 by coolwings 3 replika13, 4Everbee and Hunter Hawk reacted to this

coolwings 1,546 Posted August 4, 2012 Chapter Six The older boy introduced himself as Oskari while the girl said her name was Lara. The young boy however said nothing at all. “My name is Zeka.” I respond. “Nice to meet you Lara, Oskari-” “Call me Os.” Oskari smiled. “How did you get here?” I point at the teleportation device behind me and Os laughs. “I mean, where did you come from?” I start telling them about how my world was slowly dying and that I was swallowed down a hole. I told them about Arigus, Valko, Hetyo and Biggs and how they were making a device to teleport them to another world. I didn’t leave out a single detail. When I finished telling them how I went through the teleportation device and ended up here, they all stared at me. “You said your world was dying…” responded Lara. “We’re a group formed to save the worlds,” Os said. “We built this receiver,” Os pointed at the teleportation device behind me. “To collect people from all the worlds to help us,” “Wait so how do you that the worlds are dying?” “Because our own world was destroyed,” answered Os. “We made a device to teleport to different worlds and when our world was fading we teleported here. We set up this place to help people from other worlds, and when Arigus contacted us we instantly created a receiver.” “Can you go to any world?” I respond. “Yes, but only worlds that still exist.” “Arigus said for me to report back if I found any worlds.” “Sure, but first why don’t you take a look around. Lara can you show Zeka around while I get the teleportation device set up?” Os asked. Lara turned to me and smiled. “Sure.” Lara took me through the room that held all the strange devices and tools, and into another room that held all the living supplies. “We’re in a tower based 1000 meters in the sky. Care to take a look.” Lara pointed towards a huge window that over looked part of the city. Surrounding the building was thousands of other buildings all around the same height. The city looked what I would call futuristic. The buildings were all shiny with a chromic texture. Hovering vehicle’s swarmed the sky while sculptures decorated the ground. Lights flashed in every corner making the city come alive. The city was decorated with shiny billboards and artificial trees. Everything looked so bright and fun. I was astonished compared to what I have been living with for the past years. I looked back at Lara and saw her golden hair shine in the beaming lights. Two blue hair ties, tied up her hair in ponytails. She wore a green and grey coloured outfit with a green bangle on her left arm, and white shoes with green laces to add to her appearance. Her blue eyes sparkled as she said: “It’s quite pretty isn’t it?” “What?” I respond looking back at the city. “Oh, yeah it is.” Lara and I stood there for a second admiring the city around us. “We should go back to Os.” Lara said, breaking the silence. “He should have the device ready by now.” When Lara and I make it back to Os, I can’t ignore the frown on his face. “Your world, is this it?” Os says to me. On the screen in front of Os shows a vague picture of a main city that I recognise from my world. “Yeah, you found it.” “Hmm,” responds Os while flicking through pictures from my world. I recognise most of the pictures but some of them must be from parts of the world I have never visited or seen. Os continues flicking through them until he reaches a page with a single message on it. As I start to read the message Os tells me: “It says the world no longer exists.” 5 twilight_breeze, SoraKH, replika13 and 2 others reacted to this

coolwings 1,546 Posted August 29, 2012 Chapter Seven I read the message over and over. How is this possible? What happened? What happened to Arigus and everyone else? “Hey, are you alright?” Os asks me. “What? This can’t be possible.” I respond. “Something must have happened when you came here,” said Lara. “No. Your device must be faulty.” I storm off into the room Lara showed me. My world, is it really gone? I stare out the window over the huge city. Everything was messed up. I am in a foreign world never to return home. The place where I was born, the place my parents died, my home. I knew my world was dying, but I always thought I would die alongside it. Or was my world already dead, was it dead when all the food disappeared, was it dead when everyone I knew died. This I really don’t know. That was all I could remember from that night. I awoke the next day on one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. I remember the last time I slept on a bed like this, before all this started, before everyone I knew was dead. No smiling face greeted me only a plate of food sit next to the bed. I ignore it as I scan the room. My vision was blurry after just waking up. I was in the room with the huge window that overlooked the city and held various living supplies including a couple of beds. Close by me was the small boy who I saw from before with Os and Lara. He was sitting on a table, eating food off a red plate. His back was turned on me so he didn’t notice that I was awake. The young boy wore a dark red outfit with black stripes coming down from his shoulders. I try to move but the bed makes a loud creaking sound which alerts the young boy. The boy spins around before I even get the chance to stand up. As soon as he sees me he quickly turns towards the door hoping Os or Lara would come to his aid. “Wait!” I shout, while standing up. The boy looked at me one last time, and then disappeared from the room. After a while of stumbling around the room from dizziness, Os appears through the door. “How are you feeling?” he asks. “Alright, who was that boy?” I answer. “His name is Dimi, and this is his home. He let me and Lara stay here when we explained about the worlds dying. We don’t know much about him, he is quite shy.” “I see.” At that moment Lara came bursting in. “What’s the matter?” Os asked seeing the fear in her face. “It’s started!” She burst out, after gasping for breath. Os didn’t respond. Instead he silently walked into the room Lara had just come from. Lara looked at me for a second and then followed Os out the room. I stood on the spot after Lara and Os had left, what happened? What started? If I wanted to find out I would have to follow Lara and Os. Is it something about my world? As I follow Lara and Os into the room I see them talking to the younger boy who seems to be as afraid as Lara and Os. “What’s going on?” I ask. Os turns around as Dimi and Lara dash off. “No time, follow us!” I follow Os as he chases after Lara and Dimi. I follow them past various contraptions and through strange rooms until we are standing in front of a huge opening in the side of the wall. Through the small hole was a huge machine which had buttons covering it like bees in a beehive. “Get in!” Os pushes me through the hole after Lara and Dimi. I crawl along trying not to step on any buttons until I reach a seat next to Dimi. “What’s going on?” I ask as Os reaches his seat. Os catches his breath, ready to answer. But he only responds with two words: “The Key.” 3 replika13, Hunter Hawk and SoraKH reacted to this

coolwings 1,546 Posted September 4, 2012 Chapter Eight I straighten up and look at Os more closely. “What?” I respond. “The king of this world holds a key that can open a rift in time. This rift allows you to travel to any world and for others to come to this world.” Os explains as I loosen up and wonder why everyone was so afraid. “But the rift will unleash chaos that could destroy this world. We must stop him before it’s too late!” I jump up and shout: “Why didn’t you stop him before!?” “We tried, but he wouldn’t listen to us. We told him that our world was destroyed and we even showed him the evidence of the other worlds dying but he still wouldn’t listen to us. He made us fugitives and that’s why we are hiding out here with Dimi.” “Let’s go.” Dimi cuts in. “OK. We’ll explain later Zeka, but for now you stay with me. Dimi will attempt to steal the key before it’s too late while we create a distraction.” Os sat at the front of the round, dome shaped machine and started pressing buttons. There were no windows or anything inside the machine so I couldn’t see outside but suddenly I could feel the machine moving. We must have been flying because I couldn’t feel the bottom of the machine touching anything. At the top of the machine held a small hatch to exit the machine which Dimi seemed to have a close eye on. Os sat focusing as he held a leaver to steer the machine. “How can Os see where he is going?” I ask Dimi. Dimi hesitates for a while and takes his gaze of the exit of the machine. “See those glasses he is wearing.” I look at Os and for the first time I notice the blue glasses that he was wearing. “They allow you to see through the walls of this machine. You see this aircraft is supposed to be invisible, so there aren’t any windows or guards could see through and see us floating in the air, which would look really odd so they would chase after us or shoot us down.” Dimi smiles and turns back to the hatch above us. As I start to relax a huge jolt blasts the aircraft. I was unprepared and went flying into Lara, who slams her head on the curved wall behind her. Blood dripped onto my hand which was behind Lara’s head. I pull back and realise she was unconscious. Suddenly another bang sends me to the floor of the machine. My face was planted on the ground and I couldn’t see a thing. As I try to stand up I feel a small hand grab my left arm and pull me up, and before I know it I feel the screaming wind around me as I fall. I look to my left and see Dimi holding my arm. I scream as I look downwards. Almost the whole city was gathered around a huge stage. Huge groups of people and guards patrolling the ground while aircraft covered the skies. It only took a few moments for everyone to notice us. Dimi let go of me and threw me a small device. “Hold on to that as you fall!” Dimi shouts and dives towards the huge groups of people. We were traveling to fast for the air troops to attack us so almost every land troop pointed their weapons above themselves and shot. Out of their weapons shot small sparks which looked harmful so I tried my best to dodge them. Dimi was far ahead of me and reached the ground before me. As he hit the ground a small field appeared beneath him which prevented any fall damage. As I neared the ground I braced myself for the devastating pain that will be inflicted on me. But it didn’t come, instead was a strange sensation that came from the device and ended up around my legs. I look around as people stare at me and guards start shooting. I ran. I ran in the opposite direction to Dimi, away from the huge stage, away from the guards. I ran towards the buildings which were very far away. I was in an open area where no buildings stood. Only floating roads and decorations were in this area, but I saw a lake up ahead. A lake which looked so much like a pool but no one was swimming in it. As I continue to run the guards seemed to give up and aim for Dimi who must have been on the stage by now. I near the lake hoping to dive in and feel all my troubles wash away. I was out of sight from the guards and any groups of citizens of the city. A small ledge pocked out into the lake which I used to jump in. As the cool water formed around me I felt a soothing section. I couldn’t remember the last time I had felt such cooling water. As I rose to the surface I turned in the direction I had come from. Os’s airship was nowhere in sight but I could see the stage, I could see the King, But then everything turned white. I couldn’t see for a whole second. But then it stopped. When I opened my eyes I saw the most horrible thing I could imagine. I giant rip in the air floated over the stage and from where the king was standing was a shining light the shot up into the sky. The rift, what Os called it was something so surreal that I could hardly believe it. It was like someone had ripped a hole through the air. But something was inside it. Something was inside the rift and it was coming out. I could feel a strange sensation as millions of tiny lights sparkled out the rift. It shone, lighting up the whole city. I couldn’t only see it, but I could also feel it, like it was, alive. 4 replika13, twilight_breeze, Hunter Hawk and 1 other reacted to this
