I've had some of my 360 discs permanently messed up when my console fell over. Did this or anything else happen with your console?

I've also managed to get a lot of my video game discs working again by squirting toothpaste around the data-side of the disc, spreading it all around, rinsing the remaining toothpaste off, and drying. As crazy and unsafe as it sounds, I've fixed a lot of games in the past, even recently. And games that weren't fixed by this didn't seem to be screwed up any further.

Well my Xbox has got the RROD before but it was only because the hard drive wasn't connected properly, it's fine now though. Apart from that nothing else has happened.

Strange, maybe it's the console? Sometimes depending on the age of the console, parts of it wear down, stop working correctly. Of course the original Wii that I have is about 7 years old and it doesn't read disc all the way lying down, but it does straight up however. Like the original Wind Waker wouldn't play the final cutscene and credits lying down, but straight up, it was able to be read through to have the ending and credits play. (Of course, that doesn't matter anymore because I have Wind Waker HD, the far superior version.)  I couldn't watch any cutscenes for Super Mario Sunshine either, but putting my system upright let it work completely.

Oh yeah that reminds me of when I had my PS2. When I stood it up upright some parts of a game worked. I'll try that. Thanks!

Yeah, just be careful though, for some reason Microsoft systems are really dumb and decided to firetruck you disc up if it falls over. Never in my life has a system other than a 360 fallen over on me and put a huge ring into my disc.
