Wyle 123 Posted June 21, 2012 Typically I don't go on diets. I just feel like it's a waste of time trying to control your hunger and forcing yourself to eat healthier stuff. My alternative is to just work out, not a lot (thank God I'm young and still have a great metabolism), but just enough to where your content with your efforts. Doing about thirty minutes to an hour work a day will really help I think. If diets are really your thing and you hate physical stuff then just eat more colorful food and more whole grains. I'm not sure whether this topic was sarcastic or not. If it is: it is pretty accurate. My mother can never hold a diet for more than five days. http://voices.yahoo.com/diets-they-really-work-1609.html

My mother can never hold a diet for more than five days. http://voices.yahoo....-work-1609.html Working out doesn't cancel out a bad diet. If you have a shit diet, not only will you not be able to work out to your full extent, it really won't do anything. You need proper nutrition for workouts to benefit you. As well as you get older, your metabolism slows and I have a strong belief that everyone should learn how to take care of themselves from a young age, no matter if they have a fast metabolism. In order to lose weight and get into shape you need to change your diet and work out regularly And not for a while. It should be a change for life. /srs post 1 Godot reacted to this

Didn't mean to make it sound like you can eat all types of junk food and get by just by working out. Of course though we can all have a little break on Friday! 1 Koko reacted to this

Zenithia 305 Posted June 21, 2012 tutti frutti. Living a healthier life helps. You don't have to worry about some of the downfalls of eating just whatever. I remember that guy that did the whole supersize me thing years ago, and if I remember right, dude blamed Mcdonalds for making him obese. People in a sense have the right to choose what they eat. Plus, why wait until it's too late to worry about your health? Due to what happened to me roughly this time last year, I tried to do better about my health with diet and exercise. Wyle 123 Posted June 21, 2012 I remember that guy that did the whole supersize me thing years ago, and if I remember right, dude blamed Mcdonalds for making him obese. The dude, Morgan Spurlock, wanted to test the theory how bad fast food could be. And what is the most popular fast food chain restaurant in the world? Actually I'm not sure, but I bet McDonalds is up there. He knew what he was putting himself through and he visited doctors throughout the process often. Obviously he blamed McDonalds for making him fat, which he think lost most of the weight from my knowledge (just looked it up; he lost 20.1 of it in five months and another nine months to lose the rest which is 4.5 pounds), because he gained 24.5 pounds throughout the process. I guess what I'm trying to get at is: yes McDonalds is the reason that made him fat but he didn't really "blame them" because it was his own experiment. 2 Koko and Zenithia reacted to this
rikufan25 170 Posted June 21, 2012 I've never gone on a diet. But I do try to eat healthier. Also when I workout I do high intense interval training. 1 Koko reacted to this

Thanks for clearing that up, Runay. Not that I eat at McDonalds myself now, but that should have been an eye opener to a number of people in the world. People should be at least car know what food does to people outside of dealing with hunger.

Sometimes I still get fast food at maximum twice a week. Completely agree that people should care to know what they're putting in their mouth. Another reason I just love to research a lot. 2 Zenithia and Koko reacted to this
