But excluding that I pick Smugleaf?

 

Why?

 

Because he is a snobby, awesome, and beautiful (when envolved fully) Pokèmon.

 

Plus most of his Gijinkas look awesome.

Charmander.....I know that sounds generic sinbce most people who played Pokemon Red pick Charmander.

 

But that satisfying moment when you evolve him into a Charizard is something I can't forget.Not to mention that the first 3 gyms will be more challenging since Charmander is a fire type

 

Also,Charizard can learn fly which makes me no longer need an HM slave to teach that move to since fly is a pretty good flying type move.

 

As for other regions:
