Cannibalism is alright, says the Bible.

Recommended Posts

Hmm... One line debunks this whole thing in the old testament, and don't say "Oh, the old testament doesn't matter," because Jesus kept those traditions and said that Laws don't change. So there.

Humans do not have cloven hooves and do not chew their cud.

Not clean meat.

So there.

but once again, could be mistranslation, or Mr. King James being a troll...

but I doubt it. Something in me says "This is true."

Being gay is a sin, but that doesn't change weighter you go into heaven or not. One of my friend's has a gay friend who is a Christian, and he feels awfully bad about it, being a big sin and all. But the thing is, if you are gay, you can't really help it... and it says in the bible {too lazy to look for verses} that as long as you believe in God, you will get into heaven.

The problem with that last part is that if you don't believe in God, you don't get to go to heaven.

But I'm not having a religious debate or really joining into this thread because I believe it will become a religious argument. I'll just say, the Bible is...not to be taken seriously. Be a christian if you want but if you do just know that even priests now adays refuse to completely abode by the points made in the Bible.

Uhh, I don't see...what you were expecting Aqua7KH to say.

Well honestly when I first saw this thread at first I was like,"WHAT THE HECK",then I was like,"Wow I'm surprised a religious flame wars has started against aethiests. and christians".Um as a christian I just think it takes proper interpretation.

That too. Forgot to include that. xD

But seriously, if you are homosexual, it doesn't make you automatically go to hell. As long as you have acceptance that Jesus died for your sins, and you believe in God, you will go to heaven... Isn't that why Jesus died in the first place? To forgive sins such as these?

THIS!

I should probably look at the one in my closet to see if it's true...xD

Actually, being gay is not a sin, according to christian doctrine, mostly Livicitus. You just can't have sexual relations with the same gender.

So you're fine as long as you swear celibacy.

Quotas can smd. I want to like these posts so badly.

You know shit is serious if DC said something.

True dat, bro.

no1curr but I grew up reading the Bible in French so it's very uncomfortable having to read it in Old English. :U

I wasn't expecting her to say anything. There's a reason that these things are called quotes and not replies. People use them as a building block for their own replies. Rather than just make my own post more complicated, I used Aqua's post to make my own simpler. And I honestly don't understand your own statement in the quotes.

No, no, you said "the problem is that in Christianity you have to accept Jesus as your savior" when...what were you expecting a Christian (such as myself) to say? lol.

As for my own statement in the quotes, I deleted that a while ago, it was a mistake.

It's still showing up on my laptop for some reason but whatever.

And I'll PM you my answer if you want. Like I said before I don't want to turn this into some big religious argument and if you do want me to PM you my answer, I'd rather not have you reply back if you'd be so kind. Just keep your opinions of my opinions to yourself and let us agree to disagree and not cause conflict, okay.

God did not write the bible, several other people did, and then was translated like 10 thousands times, in thousands of languages just to get the English version we have today. And who is to say that King James didn't go like "No, I don't like that," and he erased it and then put something else? For all we know, being Gay could not be a sin by the bible. The Bible is not 100% true, mostly because of the translation fails and King James being all " I want this in there!" and etc. These examples are most likely mistranslations.

God didn't directly write it, but he told other people what to write, and that's what they did.

......I don't think...thats possible...at all....

http://www.fbbc.com/...write_bible.htm

From cover to cover, these writers claimed that God gave them every word. Psalms 68:11 says, "God gave the word, great was the company of those who published it." The Apostle Paul said, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God (God-breathed) ..." (II Timothy 3:16). Peter claimed, "We have not followed cunningly devised fables ... We have a more sure word of prophecy ... For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." (II Peter 1:16-21).

Logically, its not possible.

Whether or not you believe it is possible is one thing, but it is a tenet of Christianity, and should be considered as such.
