Cannibalism is alright, says the Bible.

Recommended Posts

Guys, please remember that spammy posts are only allowed in Random.

That said, this thread is a mess so I'm gonna move it to Random.

My bad. D:

Um no?

The bible can be easily interpreted. So most likely every human being thinks of some verses differently. Me, being a Christian, I do believe in the bible. However, it was not written directly by God. To tell you the truth, this whole thread is pretty funny, but I don't think it talk's about cannibalism like that. xD

Yeah...I am pretty sure that God did not write the bible.

xD Okay thats good if it doesn't, but did you read it? I hope it didn't offend anyone though.

Lots of stuff aren't a sin that are wrong, but being gay is a sin.

Being gay is a sin, but that doesn't change weighter you go into heaven or not. One of my friend's has a gay friend who is a Christian, and he feels awfully bad about it, being a big sin and all. But the thing is, if you are gay, you can't really help it... and it says in the bible {too lazy to look for verses} that as long as you believe in God, you will get into heaven.

This. Just don't forget that it's acceptance that Jesus died for us, not just the belief in God. Other than that, I think you make a great point. I honestly feel bad for people who have to struggle with homosexuality while trying to get closer to God, but if they can find him, than that's I'm happy for them.

Actually, being gay is not a sin, according to christian doctrine, mostly Livicitus. You just can't have sexual relations with the same gender.

So you're fine as long as you swear celibacy.

Alright...but I am pretty sure that God wont outcast a homosexual because of this, since it was written by a guy, not God himself.

I don't believe in God to tell the truth, so I can't say much about it and I am afraid if I do I'll end up offending you guys.

That too. Forgot to include that. xD

But seriously, if you are homosexual, it doesn't make you automatically go to hell. As long as you have acceptance that Jesus died for your sins, and you believe in God, you will go to heaven... Isn't that why Jesus died in the first place? To forgive sins such as these?

God did not write the bible, several other people did, and then was translated like 10 thousands times, in thousands of languages just to get the English version we have today. And who is to say that King James didn't go like "No, I don't like that," and he erased it and then put something else? For all we know, being Gay could not be a sin by the bible. The Bible is not 100% true, mostly because of the translation fails and King James being all " I want this in there!" and etc. These examples are most likely mistranslations.

Exactly. And for the rest of us who aren't homosexual- are we really any 'better' or less sinful than the ones who are? Absolutely not. We all have been sinful in some way or another.

Eh, you wouldn't offend us. Besides, I appreciate that you say that as opposed to "your stupid god doesn't exist blablablabla" like a lot of people say

Well, as a Christian, you should believe that all sins are the same. There are no "big" or "little" sins. Sin is sin.

But yeah, in the religion of Christianity, you can be forgiven. I don't see how people can be a Christian and say "You're gay, you're going to hell no matter what" because it is just untrue.

As for the original post, I love how it was interpreted by the site as "God forces people to eat each other". It must also be considered that while the writers had divine inspiration, it was not directly written by God himself with a divine pen. Not only this, but the New Testament establishes new rules, overshadowing the harsh rules set firth in the Old Testament. People who bash the Bible often fail to mention this, or they just say "It was made up by Christians trying to save face." Which is hilarious for reasons that should be obvious. Basically, people can interpret things however they want (they can even interpret what those verses mentioned pertaining to cannibalism as literal, instead of figurative) but in the end, nothing anyone can do about it. Maybe even it was meant as literal.
