Elijah Gravenhorst 480 Posted June 10, 2012 I think the reason that KH3d has not been given as much recognition in america as it should is because it hasn't had half the promotional material that BBS had. Think about it. Its only 50 days from the english release and I havent seen as much as a poster at any of the game stores. At this time in production of BBS there were trailers and wallpapers and special pre order advertisements. I just think they could have done a better job making the game known. 4 Xail, Wolfgang, CrownKeeper13 and 1 other reacted to this

Maybe they don't feel it's necessary to use up all that money for Dream Drop Distance. And there was more preperation and hype for BBS before the game came out. Why would they just create a whole bunch of advertisements for KH3D now? It would be like it came out of no where to most people. Just wait until KH3's NA release date is confirmed. There will be twice as much hype and promotional material. 2 Kishira and DarkRealm20 reacted to this

Wow you really aren't grasping this I'm saying maybe if they HAD done better at marketing then KH3D would be getting better acknowledgement.

I want all the people complaining about not having KH3 right now to see the marketing Square gives KH3, so they can finally STFU

Perhaps you really aren't grasping what I'm saying either. KH3D was not known as well as BBS before it came out and many believed it was a 3D remake of KH1. What is there to acknowledge? When KH3 comes to NA the hype, advertisement, promotional material, etc. will exceed BBS and any other SE game tenfold. SE didn't feel the need to put as much promotional material and such for DDD. I think that's exactly his point though. Square has done a horible job of marketing DDD (especially if people thought it was a remake of 1, that is Square's fault). DDD is a sequel that should actually be MORE important than BBS (not saying BBS wasn't important, as it's the most important of all the "side games" released so far, barring 3D because I haven't played it yet) since it actually moves the plot forward with the "true main characters" of Kingdom Hearts. True without BBS there wouldn't be a need for KHDDD or KH3, but Kingdom Hearts 3D moves the plot towards the future and is an anniversary game, so it should have gotten far more marketing and exposure from Square. 3 Razorwind Keyblade, Kishira and Elijah Gravenhorst reacted to this

Rob 5,571 Posted June 10, 2012 This is why I don't expect much from companies outside of Japan. One game they promote the hell out it, then the next game they don't. Hopefully its just been slow because its release is technically still almost 2 months away and next month SENA will throw out a marketing blitz for the game, but somehow I doubt it. SquareNA seems much more interested in hyping/marketing their western releases like Heroes of Ruin, Hitman, and Sleeping Dogs. Kingdom Hearts and Theatrythm (even though I'm not interested in Theatrythm) seem to be getting the cold shoulder and so are many of SE JP's other titles (Bravely Default, Type 0, Versus XIII, FFXIV, DQX). CardCaptorDeadpool 386 Posted June 11, 2012 I hope there'll be telly ads for it cause even the original COM had adverts on TV in Europe so surely the did in America!
