Final Fantasy Versus XIII TGS 12

Do you think Square Enix will announce a release date or show a new trailer for Final Fantasy Versus XIII at Tokyo Game Show 2012?

tutti frutti. For me seeing is belieiving in this case with Square working on Versus XIII. It's already been over half a decade, and we only have just a couple trailers, with not hint whatsoever on any additional info. If Square does in fact show anything at TGS, I for one will be shocked and glad that we finally get some new info on the game after waiting so long. But for the time being my answer is no.

Lol I seriously thought this is a news coz of the title =[ But my answer is maybe they will announce it! It is now 100% full force! I don't know what's taking them so long, I wish they were working on it like 80% done before they announce something =,=

Personally, I am through with this. I understand that it takes a lot of time to work on a game

Iike this, but it isn't fair that it is hindering the potential and development of other games, like KH3. If they were going to take around 6-8 years to make this, then why say anything about Versus until there are only one or two years left until the completion and release date of the game? Honestly, having us waiting for years for even just some more news is disappointing enough. I do know that they are using high technology for the game and that all takes time, but really, it isn't fair to us fans. This is just my personal opinion, anyone else might think otherwise.

Maybe. I mean, it's possible but very unlikely. What if what happened with Kojima and Metal Gear Rising is happening to Square's FFv13 team? What if they just aren't getting it right and are contemplating whether or not they should just cancel it or hand it off to someone else? Or maybe they're concentrated on another KH that will further delay both FFv13 and KH3.

I doubt KH3 will be out next year, Nomura said a kh game would be released each year to keep the fans busy, but what happens now? He said that Kh3d was the last game before kh3. What will be installed for KH next year.?

my idea was to have KH3D be 2012 and KH HD collection be 2013 but idk now

They should give a release date, since the game is being developed since 2007 or 2008, after KH2FM was finished. Probably, KH3 will be launched only 3 or 4 years from now on, since development will start only after development for FF Versus XII is finshed.

It is not hindering when the project does not even exist.

 

Kingdom Hearts III does not have to be developed by the Kingdom Hearts/Versus XIII Team. Why wait for them to complete the project when you can have Square-Enix Osaka, which we know they make arguably better Kingdom Hearts games than the Kingdom Hearts Team itself (Birth by Sleep, 3D), to create Kingdom Hearts III. The flaw with that plan is that Square-Enix Osaka haven't developed a console game since Re: Chain of Memories and we do not know if they have the man power to start on a project for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

 

But I rather have KHIII developed by Square-Enix Osaka than the current team. With around three games of consistent quality (compared to the KH Team of one excellent game and one average game), I rather have them make KHIII.

 

As for Versus XIII. I gave up on it. The game is in development hell and as we all know from Daikatana, Duke Nukem Forever and Prey, it won't spell victory for Versus XIII.

Unlike THOSE games though, Versus XIII has been developed by the same people since the start.

tutti frutti. I agree with you completely on what you have stated, LightningXIII. This is absolutely ridiculous on the amount of time it takes just for Square to complete this game. I understand that developers need time to create a game with their ideas, on top of having to work the the console that the game is being put towards, but this is crazy. For me, when I see a trailer I get the impression that the game will be out in 2 years max. The only way behind that is if there was something major enough, such as financial troubles, where the developers would have to push back the game. I'm basically on the same level as your view and perspective for this game, none-whatsoever, and practically gave up on the game. I believe that the handfuls of gamers out there that have any hope for this game left will have this years TGS as Square's final chance for the game. I strongly believe that this game, should it actually be released, will have a big impact on what will happen to Square.
