Waller-pearson 60 Posted June 8, 2012 It looks like there wont be a special boss or a special secret ending added to the NA version of kh 3d, and there isnt supposed to be a kh3d final mix as everybody said up here, so i guess we will have to wait another 5 to 10 years till kh3 is announced

Spectrum of Life 188 Posted June 8, 2012 By special boss, do you mean the secret bosses from the Japanese realise or an exclusive one? He means debuting in the North American release, like Birth By Sleep's Superboss. That aside, it's going to be awhile no matter what sort of Stinger they put in. FF Versus XIII and all. I don't know why anyone actually believed that rumor in the first place, as it was obviously completely fake. 1 VoidXName reacted to this
lizzie1238 538 Posted June 8, 2012 Be thankful that there isn't! Because if there was (like in BBS) they would feel bad about not giving these bonus bosses and such to Japan, and release a Final Mix! Which of course, would not be available outside Japan.
x_UNDEAD13_x 1 Posted June 8, 2012 that rumour came after namura said in an interview in april that he was working on a secret project ( i dont know if he specified the project as kingdom hearts or not ) that he was gonna announce relatively soon as he said ( normally everyone assumed e3 ) got rumour gat bigger after an interview in may i think where namura said that he was interested in making an hd collection and that is when the rumour came out

Elijah Gravenhorst 480 Posted June 8, 2012 Good riddance. Why do we have to have a better copy than the japenese peoples. That we should expect special treatment because we are american is just arrogance. We should just be happy with a great KH game. 1 lizzie1238 reacted to this

Not necessarily. I heard Sony of America (or whatever it's the correct name) has a very iffy policy about re-releases, which probably caused all the Final Mixes to be Japan-exclusive. But KH3D is for a Nintendo console, and if you look at Pokémon, except for a few changes in the storyline and some new characters and locations, the third version is basically the same game as the two previous ones. This makes me believe that a KH3DFM would be released internationally, or maybe through a downloadable patch. Also, the American version (and probably also the European one) has a change in the Drop System. Do you think it would be in that downloadable patch the Japanese are getting, or that it's the first hint of a Final Mix? Though even so, TGS seems more likely, especially considering the shady source that said it in the first place <_>

G-SANtos 105 Posted June 8, 2012 (edited) Isn't it Square Enix that decides this though? I don't know much about localization. But the PS2 and PSP belong to Sony, and they decide what they allow in their consoles. Basically, if Sony America's policy prevents an American version of the Final Mix, then there's nothing Square can do about it. I heard Sony America is very selective/picky when it comes to re-releases. I also have read a post somewhere on this forum that seems to imply Re:COM was not released on Europe because "Sony wants new content to justify re-release" (which doesn't make much sense to me since the original COM was in a Nintendo console). Oh really? Intredasting. Though even so, TGS seems more likely, especially considering the shady source that said it in the first place <_> It was 50/50. Now we can move on to TGS. The lack of coded is what made me believe he was just guessing, but I never discarded the possibility of him happening to be right about a HD Collection announced on E3. By the way, when is TGS? Do you think it would be in that downloadable patch the Japanese are getting, or that it's the first hint of a Final Mix? I was under the impression that the drop system was slightly changed to give it a fair balance should you return mid-boss battle. This is easily patchable in the JP version and doesn't warrant an re-release. Didn't Nomura say as well that there were no plans to make a FM?
