Shard the Gentleman 2,891 Posted June 6, 2012 For those who don't know, Disney is working on a movie, called "Wreck-it Ralph," and I must say, It looks cool. It is about a villain named Ralph, who wants to know how it feels to be the good guy. Sounds kinda Corney, right? Well, Just watch the trailer. http://youtu.be/btB8tb8fLYM The main point I want to get across though, is this: If Disney does not include Kingdom Hearts in Wreck-it Ralph... shame on them. I mean, We've been shown Bowser is in it, as is Dr. Robotnik, and Clyde from Pac-man, but so far, no sign of Kingdom Hearts. Nintendo and Sega, obviously, gave them permission to use these characters, from other video games, and what I really want to know is, why not your own characters as well? I'm sure that Disney will get a lot more money if Kingdom Hearst was involved. What do you think?
SaintSationalWarrior 6 Posted June 6, 2012 This looks interesting. I would FLIP if I saw a KH character in this movie. 2 Shard the Gentleman and waytothexdawnx reacted to this
NightfallXIII 68 Posted June 6, 2012 Looks interesting. I wonder how much Disney had to pay Nintendo and Sega to get Bowser and Eggman in the movie, though.

Yes, because Kingdom Hearts is on the same level as classic video games that make millions of dollars. 5 Koko, Kaiso, Deadshot and 2 others reacted to this
Shard the Gentleman 2,891 Posted June 6, 2012 Yes, because Kingdom Hearts is on the same level as classic video games that make millions of dollars. Is that sarcasm? I can't tell (seriously). If they wanted classic, they should have used Classic Dr. Robotnik, rather than Modern Dr. Eggman.Kingdom Hearts should be considered a classic, in my opinion. It can still raise the money received in the end.

I mean, aside from the fact that most people in the world know who at least Mario is, and can recognize Pacman. Of course, Kingdom Hearts is on the exact same level because the majority of school children look at the game box and know all of the characters names. I mean, Kingdom Hearts was made in 2002, it obviously should stand by those 80s games that some of our parents have played. The older audience can obviously connect to Sora just as well because they totally didn't grow up playing with him. 3 CardCaptorDeadpool, Koko and Kaiso reacted to this
lizzie1238 538 Posted June 6, 2012 Wow, that looks awesome! I hope they have more game character cameos in it! Lol, I didn't know those guys in Pacman were named Clyde.

But what was Call of Duty (Called Hero's Duty on this) doing on there?
Protoman 1,974 Posted June 6, 2012 Ok, Ok, I get your point. But what was Call of Duty (Called Hero's Duty on this) doing on there? Dontchaknow, more people play Call of Duty than they do Kingdom Hearts! If anything, it's a more well known thing to parody, at least. At the current time, Call of Duty is extremely popular. Even if you don't want to believe so. Final Fantasy being on the movie, maybe. Kingdom Hearts? I would doubt it.

CardCaptorDeadpool 386 Posted June 8, 2012 Ok, Ok, I get your point. But what was Call of Duty (Called Hero's Duty on this) doing on there? You know as nice a reference as it would be to have Kingdom Hearts cameo, the purpose of the other ones was cause of their legendary status' as classic game villains, I mean if you drop Ansem the Heartless or Xemnas the Nobody in there people are gonna be 'whothefuçk are these freaks?' I mean even Final Fantasy cameos would be doubtful since I can't imagine the classic ones had villains as instantly recognisable as Boswer, maybe Garland or Golbez but thats pushing, I suppose Kefka counts too but again a bit of a stretch. I can see this one being a succes tho especially since this has merchandise ti-ins written all over it, I mean if a movie cleans up at the box office it's a sucess, but merchandise is where studios really make their money. Just look at Cars or Transformers they are woth billions in merchandise, the movies just catalyst them.

Shard the Gentleman 2,891 Posted September 23, 2012 It looks like a good movie, but I'm not necessarily excited for it. I AM, however, hoping for some form of a Kingdom Hearts reference. Even a small joke about Keys that are swords or something would be fine.
Wyle 123 Posted September 23, 2012 Not really dying of excitement to watch it (though with Pitch Perfect it's a whole 'nother story). I'd love to go see it though. Trying to get someone to go see it with me.

Columned-Munny 274 Posted September 23, 2012 Eh. I think it looks alright, but it feels like a gimmick to me, like this will be "a video game move!". It's a hard form of apprehension to describe. I'm sure it'll be fine and folks will like it.
