Your Definition of Justice

Recommended Posts

tutti frutti. This has been going through my mind every since fellow member Iamkingdomhearts1000 made a thread about Batman vs Akainu in their definition in justice and how they go about handling criminals, among other things. What is your definition of Justice? I've seen in shows, books, and other perspectives on this, with the few stating to let things go. My perspective is kind of varied, should things take too long you should do what you feel you need to get your own justice for yourself, friends, etc. But in some sense I guess it depends on what it is.

I would have posted this topic a long time ago but i was worried that if anyone were to see this kind of topic would their opinions on justice change and not for the better.

Is that a bad thing?

same, though in my case, i'll say kool.

Plato says that true justice comes from rational thought, aggression and animal impulse, and self discipline all working in harmony. That way, no one aspect is allowed to grow too great to become an inconvinience to others (such as animal instinct causing assault, self discipline not being strong enough, or rational thought being so strong that the person in question becomes meek), the proper balance therefore ensuring an individuals acceptence with their existence and no desire to act out of it.

Of course, Plato was also a big fan of eugenics, so, yeah.
