no sora and riku defeated them both and by destroying them it recreated xehanort. so theyre gone now

And they still appear in KH3D, as it was shown since the very first teaser.

But you're partially right, they are gone and they just time travel now.

Time travel.. YMX from the past uses time travel to gather all of his incarnations from different times to utilize in the present moment .

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Nomura himself confirmed it in an interview: Xemnas and Ansem appear as themselves after being defeated. Their true form is themselves.

This guy knows what's going on.

They were defeated in the past . BUT YMX is gathering them from the past BEFORE they were defeated via time travel. When they faded off in the end they were going back to their original timelines to finish out their fates thus not altering or changing past events.

Sorry accidental double post

They were brought back from past through Young Xehanorts actions (note, YMX can just travel but not manipulate time, meaning that he never changed past). Nomura also hinted that Ansem might just have been ressurected himself like he almost did in CoM

No he confirmed not ALL the new organization of norts are from the past via time travel. Ansem and Xemnas however ARE from the past ,gathered BEFORE they were defeated.

Yes, he did say that. But he ALSO said that Xemnas and Ansem's true form is themselves.

Yes themselves from the past . MX is the oldest incarnation. Both Ansem and Xemnas are themselves from the past ...You need to go watch the translated cutscenes. This is why they were running out of time at the end . They faded out and returned to their original timeline and continue to carry out their fates thus not altering the past.

tutti frutti. Like Bowser, they discovered the power of immortality. No matter how many times you defeat them, they keep coming back for more.

They're not. Young Master Xehanort (the hooded man with the blue "lightsabers" from BBS) just travelled through time and summoned them from the past.

Eventually, they both had to go back to their normal times, with little-to-no recollection of their time travelling experiences, and carry on with their "normal lives"................at least until getting killed by Sora and Riku in KH1-KH2.
