kingdomlanelover 494 Posted May 21, 2012 Basically it's about Sora in a castle and he loses his memories only to find out that he had a childhood friend he forgot about but because he forgot he was able to remember. But if you want to spoil yourself just watch the cutscenes.

Be glad to :], ahem: Chain of Memories is the story and/or interlude that connects both the ending of Kingdom Hearts and the beginning of Kingdom Hearts II, of which, it reveals how Sora,Donald and Goofy had lost their memories and were seen sleeping in the white pods that are seen in KHII, as well as both the strange and mysterious meaning behind the message "Thank Namine" in Jiminy's Journal, while sleeping at the crossroads, featured at the end of KH, at night, while both Donald and Goofy are asleep, Sora decides to look up to the starry bright night sky and wonders to himself, will he ever get to see his friends, family, allies and/or loved ones ever again and will he,Donald and Goofy ever find both Riku and Mickey and return home with them to their respective Worlds? suddenly, Sora then meets a man in a Organization XIII Black Coat, who leads him,Donald and Goofy down a pathway to a both strange and mysterious Castle that appears to be in ruins, inside, do they meet the man, who explains that upon entry, did Sora,Donald and Goofy had forgotten every spell and every ability that they had ever learned in KH and that if they wish to proceed onward in what he reveals to be the name of the Castle, called Castle Oblivion, in order to "Find what they had lost", in otherwords, Riku and Mickey, must Sora,Donald and Goofy must use a deck set of Key Cards that will help guide them up the 13 floors of Castle Oblivion, however, if they are to find what they had lost, must they also "Lose in order to find", what the man had meant remains unknown to Sora,Donald and Goofy at that current time, want me to continue? 1 James Hoban reacted to this

James Hoban 11 Posted May 21, 2012 Thank you Iamkingdomhearts1000. Please go on. I'd rather read it from someone who knows it instead of looking at 20 sites before I find it. I think it's easier and more resourceful from this site.

Iamkingdomhearts1000 1,170 Posted May 21, 2012 Yes please explain more. Yes. Now about re:coded... Right, ahem: meanwhile, in the basement of Castle Oblivion, is seen Riku after the Door to Darkness was closed on both him and Mickey, in turn after both Mickey and Sora had sealed it upon "Ansem", the Seeker of Darkness's defeat at the end of Kingdom Hearts, when he was destroyed by the radient Light of the Heart Kingdom Hearts, of which, Riku finds himself in a place between both Light and Darkness, where here, a voice calls out to him and gives him a Key Card, much like the ones Sora,Donald and Goofy now have and that should Riku choose not to "Sleep", must he take this Key Card and enter the World that lies inside it, Riku agrees and with it, does it transport him to Hollow Bastion, where here, he meets Maleficent, though not the real one, as it is mearly a Memory of the real one that tries to goad Riku into giving into the Darkness within his Heart once more, however, Riku refuses, knowing what would happen should he do so again and so, engages Maleficent in battle with his Soul Eater sword and after defeating Maleficent, is he transported to the white halls of Castle Oblivion's inner palace.
