KH2 Is Roxas the real main primary protagonist of Kingdom Hearts II?

Yep, still, i get this kind of feeling about Sora, Roxas and Ventus being the three main primary protagonists of the entire series, know what i mean?

Like everyone else says..in Days he is, but in KH2 hes not. Unless you want to look at it from the angle of Roxas is Sora's other half therefore he "is"​ Sora and Sora is the main protagonist, therefore Roxas is indirectly the main protagonist because he came from Sora.But even that's stretching it.

 

I try not to look at it that way though because I consider Roxas his own being even though he is a part of Sora or whatever.

Sure, Ventus and Roxas are important characters, and starred in different games, but they're not protagonists of the series. Riku has more rights to that title that Ventus or Roxas.

Sora. Roxas is just Sora's Nobody (with Ventus mysteriously thrown into the mix). And you know how they all make a big deal about Sora being the key that connects everything. Even in the secret movie at the end of BBS. It's all about Sora. So...yeah.

He isn't the main protagonist but he is still a major piece of Kingdom Hearts II's plot. Plus depending on how you look at it he is the major protagonist of Kingdom Hearts II's most interesting sub-plot, the 3 -4 hours you play as him and then the mystery of his existence periodically explored on Sora's time no less haha.

 

Btw I don't know where the others are getting half hours playing Roxas's opening from. Definitely for Kingdom Hearts I's but even just the cutscene's from Roxas's opening are at least an hour, maybe 10 to 20 minutes extra. plus the gameplay as well should take an hour at least the entirety of Twilight Town is huge, clever design logic from Square Enix considering you'd be spending one of the largest fractions of the game in Twilight Town. So in the end up a first time player should spent nearly 5 hours playing as Roxas. thats practically half of Ventus' story length and cutscenes.

You use Sora in the end about 80 - 99% of the time. Depends on if you rush Roxas' story and how you go about the rest of the game.

KH2 Final Mix goes out of its way to shove the dual-protagonist thing in your face with the menu screen and the revolving save symbol on the memory card. Still, Roxas is just a main character in his own story and Sora in his. Neither of them are THE protagonist of KH2, but Sora's story is longer and factors in Roxas's near the end.

He's only in there for, like, the first hour at the most, and that's a huge stretch. And then he comes back as a ghost and suddenly decides that he's in love with Namine or something like that. So, not really. Sorry.
