"No!" Regina fell forward trying to catch Viral, but her fingers slipped from his ankle. All she could do was watch the boys fall into whatever awaited them below. She stood back up as Zander handed her the blue orb. "Oh... thanks." She thanked him softly, cradling the device. For some reason, it gave her a shred of comfort in this terrible place. And she really needed that, considering she just ran out of pills.

 

""Oh, um... I'm Regina. Thank you for... um, helping." She extended a hand to Zander, still shaky. The sooner she was out of here the better, and yet all she could think about was how many other people there might be in this house.

Suddenly something heavy fell on Jude, grounding him.

'Is this going to become a regular occurrence.' Jude thought pushing Viral off of him.

'That's strange, normally people don't fall asleep while sliding down a tunnel.' Jude shook Viral hard trying to wake him up.

"It's pointless, no matter what you do he won't wake-up." Jude turned to see a very creepy clown looking at him, behind him was an unfamiliar girl in an odd blue fog. Jude glared.

"Not the talkative type huh, well all the same I know what you're wondering. He's being haunted by a nightmare."

Jude looked confused.

"It's a creature that enters and haunts people's dream, I would tell you more but I would rather not get impaled. Now." The ringmaster snapped his fingers and a tiger and lion appeared. Both were way larger than usually and seem to be rotting, pieces of flesh falling away to reveal muscle and bone.

"Those two ought to keep you occupied while I finish with her." He opened his mouth and continuing what he had started.

Without thinking Jude unsheathe the knife and threw it towards the clown. It hit the clown square in the back and he let out a piercing scream, and jumped around trying to get the knife out of his back. Hoping that he had freed the girl and hoping that the two cats would only go after him, he made a run for it.

Viral was dodging Nightmare's attacks, but he was very fast and powerful. Viral lunged at him with spear, but Nightmare didn't seem to take any damage.

THATS ALL YOU GOT?

Viral tried to block everything he could but Nightmare took hold of him.

NOW LETS PLAY

Viral started to fight back with everything he got, but it was for nothing. Then he thought: "This is as far I can get? No way... This guy should just paralyze and rot away"

Suddenly Nightmare's hand stopped working and it started to erose.

DAMN YOU! YOU MAY HAVE WON THIS TIME, BUT SOON YOU MUST SLEEP AGAIN! THEN YOU ARE DEAD!

"Yeah yeah, now can you GET OUT OF MY WAY" Viral shouted and slashed Nightmare with everything he got. It didn't deal any specific damage, but Viral had woken up and world had changed to way it should be. "Ah I thought that I was dead meat" Viral said to himself, but same time saw Ring Master trying to pull knife out . Viral kicked lion out from his way and slashed Ring Master. "You woke up? Oh well more to kill for me" Viral looked at Ring Masters eyes and felt disgust. "I'm gonna hunt you all down"

 

Viral tried to get poison working again, but orb didn't seem to respond. "Why at time like this? How did it worked while back?"

Marina stared with dull eyes. "(Who...who are these people...wait...!!!!!)"Marina thinks. Suddenly eyes eyes returned back to normal as reality sorrounded her. SHe could feel her body. She quickly stood up and spun the two blades slightly. She looked to the two kids who charged at her. She stabbed the two of them in the heads and then swung them away. She shook. "What the hell?!"Marina asks. She then looked around her. There were two boys. One was running around,away from some Tigers. Another one was facing off the Ringmaster. "(Are these kids...illusions...?)"Marina thinks. She stared and saw one of them with an orb in his hand. "No...they're players!"Marina says,finally realizing it. The Ringmaster laughed and rubbed his claws slightly as he stared with a smirk. "Souls,souls souls~ Wonderful souls!!!!~"The Ringmaster says as he had shadows appear around the boy. Marina stared. She then got her orb out. "Come on come on."Marina says. She looked around and saw a barrell from the tricks. She rose the orb and swung it to the side. The barel rose and was sent flying. It hit the Ringmaster's head as it shattered.

 

The Ringmaster roared and looked back at her. "You escaped from the trance...!!!"The Ringmaster says. He hissed. "Die in HELL!!!"The Ringmaster as he had giant snakes appear around Marina. Marina stared as the snakes sorrounded her. "Uh oh."Marina says. The snakes attacked. Marina jumped and landed on a snakes' head. She started to stab it over and over again on the head. It hissed. The other snake tried to bite her. Marina jumped off,only ended up for the snakes to bite eachother. Marina rose her orb. The snakes rose. She then slammed it down,and the snakes did as well as they dissapeared. Marina turned to the Ringmaster. She shook and gulped. "You tricked me!"Marina says. The Ringmaster laughed. "WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?!THIS WORLD IS NOTHING BUT AN ILLUSION!!!!HAHAHAHAHA!!!!"The Ringmaster says. Marina growled. She then charged at the Ringmaster full on. The Ringmaster backed away and rose his hand about to summon something. marina quickly stabbed his legs. The Ringmaster roared. He slammed Marina off him. "YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO DEFEAT ME!!!"The Ringmaster says as he made the shaddows sorround the entire room.

Zander looked at her shaking hand he then clutched it lightly and gave it a shake. "Well it looks like its just us and I think it would be in our best intreats to stay together rather than be alone" Zander said mainly hiding from his fear. Zander then let out a sigh "So do you know somewhere we can go or do you just want to wing it?" Zander asked as he clutched his knuckle knives. Zander then grabbed his bag and noticed it had some supplies, it had some napkins. He then pulled the napkins out and handed them to her. "If you want wipe that blood off this will help." Zander offered

The tiger and lion were quickly gaining on Jude.

'At this rate I'll be cat chow, think Jude think.' Jude saw his knife lying discarded on the floor and he hatched an idea. Using his orb he brought his knife to his hand and than with the help of his orb did a flip over the two cats. They skided to a halt and turned around.

"Your momma was a hairball and your father smelt of catnip." Jude shouted at the two. They charged without hesitation. Jude threw the knife to the side and then using the wind boomaranged it back, slicking off both cats heads.

"That should stall you guys." Jude said, gracefully catching the knife.

The room soon filled with shadow.

"Anyone have a light." He shouted into the darkness.

"Oh... thanks." Regina took the napkins from Zander, wiping one across her face. Most of the blood came off, the little remaining smearing into a sloppy red eyeliner. "I don't know anything about this place. I woke up in that room there." She pointed a few meters down the hall toward a closed wooden door. "Whoever brought us here has a plan for us. I guess... the only way to really get out is to play the game."

 

Regina held the orb up, examining the azure glow. "We just need to learn the rules. Did you get one of these, too?"

Jane ran down the hallway with zombies still staggering after her. She headed toward a door but realized it was locked. She heard some voices on the other side. "HEY!" She banged on the door hoping the people on the other side would hear her. "OPEN UP!" Jane knew the zombies were getting close. She put her back to the door as the zombies approached her.

The space was too small to swing so she tried to stab at them but there were too much. She took out her orb. "Another of that claw thingy would be nice now." She said. The orb didn't respond.

 

((The people on the other side of the door is Regina and Zander. And I'm going somewhere tomorrow and I won't be back until Sunday, can someone do my character until then?))

Zander nodded "I think the only rule is to stay alive" Zander said as he reached into his bag and brought it his shimmering red orb. It was glowing quite bright and was warm to the touch which made Zander feel quite comfortable which made his stress level drop a little bit Zander then put it back in there. "Do you want me to put that in my bag or would you rather cary that with you?" Zander asked

Viral tried to see in pitch black room, but he could hardly see anything . "Sneaky bastard" Viral said and tried to attack on Ring Master by his instic, but he wasn't able to land any good hits. He didn't try to use orb since he could hit others and he couldn't use it by his own will in first place.

Viral felt that something slimy hitted his back. Viral couldn't see what it was, but it sounded like snake. Viral was annoyed about shadows and stabbed snake. Viral was sure that he hitted, but same time he felt bite on his hand and felt how his arm paralyzed. Viral shouted from pain and head Ring Master mocking him: "Oh boy, that sounded good, let the party begin! This is best way to have fun in this world, which is nothing more than illusion!"

Marina stood up and stared at nothing. It was pitched black,she couldn't see a thing. She rose her orb and it glew slightly,but it wouldn't illuminate much. She remembered that there were boys in the same room. She might as well try to find out where they were. "...Guys?...anyone there?!"Marina asks. She walked around and kept her senses sharp. She couldn't see a thing. She kept her orb which glew purple a bit infront of her,and her other arm holding one of the dual blades. "Where are you...?"Marina mutters as she walked around with light feet. Suddenly something wrapped around her left leg and yanked her off her feet. Marina fell down. "What the he-"Marina says when she was dragged around the floor and then lifted up into the air. It felt like a tentacle. Octopus maybe?! Marina swung her blades around as she moved her other leg around,trying to kick or anything,of whatever was holding her. She heard a growl. "That can't be good."Marina says. She took out her orb. "Well then-"Marina says when suddenly something whipped her hand which held the orb. Marina yelped and dropped the orb as her hand felt like fire. She then realized what she had done. "Crap!"Marina says. She then looked foward. Nothing but darkness. Though she could still feel something breathing infront of her. Marina kept her blades infront of her. She then felt something wrap around her neck and started to choke her out of air. Marina growled and moved around. "(Come on! You bearly just started the game! You can't die here!)"Marina thinks. She opened one of her eyes,even though she couldn't see a thing. She stared as she felt that she was running out of air. "(I hope...this doesn't end up kissing me...)"Marina thinks. She suddenly threw one of her blades into the darkness. Suddenly she heard a shriek of pain. Whatever was holding her let her go and she dropped onto the floor hard. The shadows retreated slightly and started to whip around as the Ringmaster appeared in the middle of the room. By pure luck,Marina had managed to throw the blade into its eye,making it shriek in pain. "Ow...my back!"Marina says as she satted up and held her other blade. She turned to see her orb and picked it up. She looked up at the Ringmaster. "Its distracted...we've gott aget him now!"Marina says as she stood up and charged at the Ringmaster once more.

Jude floundered around in the darkest, thankfully unlike his counterparts not running into anything before an ear shattering shriek was heard and the shadow receded to reveal that while in the dark the ring had been flood with various animals and beasts. Jude suddenly turned to see the two cats he had cut the heads off of growling at him.

'So many beasts, I need a strategy.'

‘Get them to fight one another.’

‘What? Who’s there?’ The voice that Jude had heard went silent. Without hesitation the two cats charged him. Jude ran towards a weird brown green spotted humanoid creature. He leapt over it and the two cats attempted to follow but not having the wind orb crash into said creature. The creature retaliated by swinging its tongue but Jude used his wind orb to cause the tongue to hit a different creature. This pattern went on until just about every single creature in the arena with the exception of the ring master was fighting each other.

No one on the other side of the door answered so Jane guessed they couldn't hear her which Jane find that hard to believe. Jane panted heavily as kept the zombies away from her. Suddenly the floor underneath her gave way and Jane fell through. 'Geez, how many times am I going to fall through floors?' She thought. A string wrapped around her leg and Jane was dangling in the air making sure the orb in her pocket doesn't fall off. A creature whose face was covered by a mask appeared in front of her, the string around Jane's leg attached to one of the creature's fingers.

"Um, excuse me mister, can you just get the string off of my leg and let me safely land on the ground please?" Jane said in her sweetest voice. More strings wrapped around Jane's legs, her wrists and her neck.

"I could suck the soul out of you right now. But why not make use of you? You could entertain me." The creature chuckled. An image flashed in Jane's eyes. Her as a lifeless puppet. "A-a puppeteer." She stammered.

"That's right, now." The puppeteer snapped it's fingers as she started to lose consciousness. "Let's see you kill some players huh? It would also be fun if they end up killing you instead." The puppeteer chuckled. "You bastard..." Jane said before she lost consciousness.

"Thanks, but I've got it." Regina rolled the ball between her fingers, almost lost in its glow. "Have you tried yours out yet? Apparently, mine shoots ice." She held it forward, an ice shard jetting into the wooden wall. "I haven't really looked into this thing, but we have them. Which means that whoever threw us in here expects us to fight back." She stuffed the orb into her inside pocket, its glowing cortex peeking over the top to give the inside of her jacket a faint glow. "Of course, they could've given us knives or something. Saves everyone some trouble."

 

Zander was still here and not... well, melting or anything, so the odds were pretty good that he was real. And the fact that he hadn't tried to kill her yet was enough of a reason to trust him. As long as she wasn't alone in this place...

Zander looked at the ice peaking out of the wooden wall. Zander pulled his out. "Thats pretty cool, so far all mine did was light the floor on fire and heat my hands up when they get cold. Zander then clenched his fist and held out his hand. His hand then combusted into flames. He pointed it at the ice sticking out of the wood wall and shot fire at it which melted the ice. "Obviously it feeds off our mind so I'm sure that it can do what ever our imagination will let us come up with" Zander then noticed she said something about wishing she had a knife. "Well in my room I found these two metal claws. If you don't have any weapon you can borrow one of my claws. Until you find your own weapon" Zander said "What kind of person would I be if I let you die because I kept my weapons. That would just kill me inside" Zander said holding out a claw for her to use.

Viral stood up and swinged at Ring Master. "You stupid clown.. Makin fun of me and talking nonsense. GO HELL!"

Viral landed some hits on Ring Master, but it didn't seem to feel pain. Viral took orb on his hand and finally figured out how it worked. "So I can control this thing with my imagination"

Orb started to glow with dark green light and Ring Master got soaked on poisonous liquid. "How did you like that?!"

"Damn yoooou. How dare you to do something nasty like that. Die you all!" Ring Master shouted and pushed Viral back. Viral took harder grip on his lance and shouted: "Lets finish this thing!"

 

(shouldn't we just end this fight already before its starts to become boring.. Anyone else getting Kefka feeling from Ring Master lol : D)

Marina spun her blades. "I'm on it!"Marina says as she charged at the Ringmaster. Jumped and used her orb to push herself up to the Ringmaster. She stabbed him right on the head over and over. She then stabbed his other eye. The Ringmaster hissed and screamed a very highpitched and unhuman scream. Marina jumped back and then stared at the Ringmaster. She used her orb and gave herself one more push foward. "Take this!"Marina says as she stabbed the Ringmaster right on the chest. The Ringmaster screamed and he slowly turned black as darkness. He shook and twitched uncontrolably as he then dismembered into dust. Marina fell down. She stumbled on her feet and fell back. She then stood back up and stared down at the dust. She started to kick it repeteadly. "Take that and that!"Marina says as she let her anger out on the dust. She then stopped and breathed. She then turned and hurried over to the boy with the spear. "Are you alright? I'm so glad to see anothing human being in here. All i've seen ever since I woke up has been stuff of nightmares."Marina says very glad that she was not alone anymore.

Strings were attached to Jane's joints and Jane's head faced the ground. When Jane opened her mouth to talk it wasn't her voice at all. It was the puppeteer's. "Ah, much better. It's been a long time since I've controlled a female girl. Let's see..." The Puppeteer was inside Jane's head trying to make sure Jane stayed asleep while he controlled the strings connected to Jane's joints with his fingers. "I'm sorry little girl but when you wake up. You'll wake up in hell." He licks his lips. "Souls...I need souls...I must hurry." Puppeteer/Jane smashed a door down with her/his feet and the Puppeteer/Jane laughed hysterically swinging the scythe smoothly.

 

{Jane's POV}

 

Jane hated that Puppeteer. She woke up in total darkness and the first thing Jane did was run in the dark trying to find an exit. "Where the heck is the freaking exit?!" Jane yelled. Her scythe and the orb was gone and Jane was sorta scared without it. Suddenly the ground underneath her started to suck her in like quick sand and already covered her feet. The more she struggled the faster she sunk. "Poor little girl. You must know, while I'm controlling this body I'm sucking your soul at the same time but slowly. It would only be a matter of time before you die." She heard the Puppeteer chuckle and his voice faded. "I FREAKING HATE YOU!" She screamed before she began to cry.

With the destruction of the ringmaster all the monsters that had appeared in the ring disappeared with a puff of smoke.

'Well that was convenient.' Jude thought putting his orb in his pocket

Jude walked over to viral and the girl, remembering the note from before

'Obviously the gamemaster wants us in one big group, I wonder why?'

 

(okay let's see if I have this right viral, marina and jude are together, Zander and regina are together and jane is somewhat nearby them, also sorry for the sort post but the disappearing of the monsters had to be established.)

Viral watched how Ring Master turned to dust and breathed heavily: "Stupid monsters.."

Viral started to feel sleepy again , but forced himself to be awake. "I.. I can't.. fall a sleep.." Viral said with exhausted glance. "We can't fall a sleep, the Nightmare is coming..."

 

Soon Viral got control of himself again and standed up: "What are we gonna do now? Its not like we are safe even if we manage kill few of these things.."

Marina stared at them. She then held her orb slightly and picked up her dual blades. She looked back up at the boys. "Well. I guess we could try to look for the other players...if they're anymore of them around here. Maybe if we stick together in one big strong group,it'll be harder for the monsters and creatures around here to take us down."Marina says a bit slightly shaken of what had happened a few moments ago. She then rubbed the back of her neck. "Oh yeah. Even though its not the greatest of times. I guess I should introduce myself."Marina says. She gave a small bow. "I'm Marina. Nice to meet you two."Marina says. She heard some rumbleling around as the ground shook slightly. It then stopped. This gave Marina slight goosebumps,which she would need to get used to it if they were gonna spend quite the time here. Marina then chuckled slightly. "So,um,may I know your names?"Marina asks.

The voice that had helped him before laughed in his head.

Oh really?

'Who the hell are you?'

The voice was silent.

Jude groaned in his head.

"I'm Jude and it's nice to meet you."

 

(The voice is the shadow/shade messing with Jude, it will get more prominent later)

Viral was annoyed to these "normal" conversations in situation like this and said: "I'm Viral"

Viral putted his orb on pocket and picked up his lance. "Lets go. We must find others fast and solve this" Viral said and took charge with his usual way and walked on dark corridor. There were lot of writings on wall and even some bad looking graphites, it made Viral remember streets where he had grown up.

"Man I hate this place"

Marina stared. She then shook her head out of her small trance and noded. "Yes. Please lead the way."Marina says as she followed. She was a bit refined since she grew up with a doctor and a litterature teacher around the house. But that was her one fault as she wasn't raised to defend herself very well. Whatever she was doing here,it was either by natural instinct,survival instinct,or just pure luck. Marina looked around and then looked back down. "(I don't wanna be here any longer. Its only been a few hours and I already feel my little heart might not be able to take much of this. I want to go home. I don't wanna be here. Why me out of the entire world?!)"Marina thinks,thinking a bit selfish just for the fact that she was scared. She then snapped out of her thought and her eyes softened. "(I need to do my best,if I'm gonna die,as they say,I shall die trying! And I cannot look weak infront of these people either...I don't want o be the bait of the group for the monsters.)"Marina says. She walked down the hallway and saw a few spider webs. Her eyes widened as she eeked and backed against the wall to try to avoid them.
